The Pre-Pre-Trip Report: MOVING TIME! 11/21 Pg. 19. The PTR has Begun!

-Book suggestions: Bambi by Felix Salten, (It's quite different from what Walt made the movie into. It's one of my favourite books and I highly recommend it!), The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold (I read this one well before there was a movie), Blindness by Jose Saramago

-Sully is so handsome! It's a boy right? But HUGE in comparison to Ruby.

-Your wedding picture is wonderful. You and Marc both look so magical and happy :lovestruc

-I don't like loud noise either - makes my stomach hurt

-Because of your light fixture obsession, I now take note of all the different light fixtures around Disney. I've noticed so much more than ever before!

Oh my with all of you and your fans!! ;) I can't think of sleeping with a fan on when it is 15 degrees outside!!

I :lovestruc to read....I could even spend hours on Wiki reading about random things!! My friend told me about Janet Evanovich last year and I read all of her books in about 3 months...they are a quick read and very witty. I was never a fan of the "series" book but I really like her.
Twilight fan too but books over movies (almost always the case ;))

I have 3 older brothers so I was basically an only child being the youngest and only girl! :rotfl: I could do no wrong!!
6 nieces and nephews...have taken 4 of them to Disney, the other one to Atlantis and the last won't fly :sad2:

I have a dog Ziggy

I'm a list maker too...sometimes on the OCD side of things

Love the wedding pictures of you and Marc, that is so sweet that you were married in the same park as your parents

Tracy

My kitties have a love hate relationship as well

I love Belle, followed closely by Mary Poppins!

I love Twilight and am really looking forward to my ladies night out evening at New Moon on the 20th!

I adore light fixtures

DH has to sleep with the fan on most nights. Result: I have to sleep with many blankets.

No cats, but one dog with whom I have a love hate relationship. If you weigh 70 pounds, you are not a lap dog. Especially in the car. But she's cute, so I forgive her the second I get out of the car.

I've read the first two books in the Twilight series and would like to read the others, but I just haven't yet. They are never available at the library and I'm too lazy to go request them. Maybe I'll borrow them from the Sister in Law when I see her at Thanksgiving.

I'm also a history fan. Favorite classes in school and museums make me happy.

I'm also a reader. I love to go to the library. I can spend hours walking the stacks, reading jackets, flipping through magazines, or just finding a chair and settling down. I must say though, I do judge books by their cover. I am a big Jane Austen fan, but I also love me some Tom Clancy. But if I had to recommend a book, it would be A Girl Named Zippy by Haven Kimmel. That book makes me laugh out loud every time I read it.

I am also a list maker. My house is littered with lost lists. I swear, I find them in the most random places.

Big Mary Poppins fan here too! And Belle. And Minnie Mouse. She's so cool. Just look who her boyfriend is.

LL your too funny!! I love the Who is This LL Character post!

I LOVE that picture of you and Mary Poppins! I love your smile in it!! You look so sweet & happy!

We sleep with a white noise machine on! :lmao: I know it's weird! Couldn't sleep with the fan on cause DH is blanket stealer! I'd freeze!

Your kitties are adorable!! We have 1 kitty, Cali, and a puppy, an almost 2 year old yellow lab named Pluto. They have an interesting relationship. Cali HATES Pluto more then anything. Pluto just want's to play with him!

My sisters and I all got the chicken pox within a week of our first trip to WDW! We got them from a girl my sister made friends with at the pool, my mom thought she just had bad acne!

I too love Twilight!!! I can't wait for New Moon! We couldn't go see Twlight when it came to theaters last year for some reason, I can't remember why. But with all the holiday hoopla we never got the chance! When we finally got the chance it was gone from the theaters here!! I'm hoping to see New Moon in the theater and not have to wait until the DVD!

I also love to read! But, sometimes I can't find the time. :( 3 kids will do that!

I LOVED ET when I was kid! It wasthe first movie I saw in the theater! I am however scared of The Wizard of Oz! It gave me serious nightmares when I was kid! I have a hard time watching even now! Funny thing, DD's name is Dorothy! :lmao: But she was named after my grandma!

I am a list maker too!! Really bad!! I've graduated from paper to Excel spreadsheets, even for groceries. Yes, I know OCD ;)

You are very, very lucky to have a hubby that cooks!! DH used to cook when I worked until 6:30 but only because he had to!! I really like to cook though and DH says he married me for my cooking!

LL, I forgot to mention that I received a Barnes and Noble gift certificate for my b-day, so I ordered the next two Lady Emily books A Poisoned Season and A Fatal Waltz (along with the Hidden Magic of WDW ) today. I will pass them along to you when I am finished! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing all those great things about you! Love the wedding pic and the kitties. Lots of luck to Marc.

*Marc & I were married in the same park my parents were married in.

Wedding2008169.jpg

Just beautiful... :goodvibes

*Your kitties are sweet.
*I always look up when I enter a room now.
*I love to read but I never have the time anymore. :sad1:
*I love lists.

Thank you for your random babblings.

I have to sleep with a fan on every night as well!
I'm surprised there are so many of us! I need the noise for sure.

LOL I loved all your random babblings!!

Let's see what do we have in common with your current list (the real list would be quite scary LOL)

I am also 27 but I will have you know you're older than me by at least a 29 days!

I have 2 kitties who also have a love hate relationship!!!

Thanks to you I now pull out my camera in bathrooms to take light fixture pictures.

And I'm also very grateful for our friendship

EDIT: It never fails if you go back to all the posts I'm subscribed too...I am always the first person to post on the next page LOL!!!
:lmao: Yes our in common list is quite long! I've been known to take a bathroom light fixture photo or two. :rolleyes1

Ok, answers in Royal Blue:

Great introduction!!

Love this picute of the two of you in the flowers. I think your dress is wonderful! It fits perfectly with the garden theme because it doesn't go all the way to the ground!

While I always appreciated light fixtures when I noticed them, thanks to you I actually started to watch out for them and started to notice them much more! Very often they are just hidden gems...

All the best to Marc, I hope his surgery will go well!! And congratulations to him, 40 lbs is quite an acchievement!!

*I love to read. If you have any good book suggestions, fire away!

I love the "Thursday Next" series by Jasper Fforde, it starts with "The Eyre Affaire". Those are really books for book lovers!

I absolutely agree!!!

Oh yes, I can't understand how people can keep the radio going while other noises are around. I even have difficulty in listening to something and doing something else at the same time. I can never listen to music while I am reading.

My mom actually made my wedding dress. It's so pretty, I love it. It was perfect for me. I am not a huge girly girl when it comes to dressing so that dress was pretty, a touch of princess and it swished very nicely.

I think CP told me about the Thursday Next series too. I'm going to put them on my list!

I followed over from the other thread! Great cat pictures! I've got two 1-year old kitties, but I still miss my best buddy cat who had a good long life of 18 years. Cats are wonderful to have around!

I hope you make great progress on the weight loss and paying down the debt. Then, it will be Disney time before you know it! ;)
I love my cats. They are my buddies, they have such unique personalities.

I'm married to a Marc as well....

Love Mary Poppins!

Obsessed with drinking Sobe lifewater too, only I like the Kiwi Strawberry flavor. I gave up soda a couple of months ago.

Like to have a fan on when I sleep.

Have found myself taking light fixture photos.....

Love history too.

Don't have a cat but I have 2 dogs that have a love hate relationship....

I think your wedding picture is just lovely!
Kiwi Strawberry, eh? I don't think I've tried that one yet. I love that our Marcs spell their names with a C. You don't see many of those around. I have more wedding photos to show if you all are interested.

I am so far behind... how did I miss this? I even thought I checked last night to see if the link was up?
That's okay! Thanks for being here.

LL, your cats are gorgeous!

I didn't know that you two got married in the same park as your parents. That's really sweet.

You know, I don't think I've ever made it through ET before. It is pretty creepy.
Thanks. Sully is so pretty. Ruby is too, but I think Sully is a more unique looking cat. At least to me.

Yep, we did. I grew up thinking I'd get married in that park and originally we were planning on getting married on New Year's Eve but things were even more expensive on that date so we changed. I'm really glad that I was able to fulfill a dream of mine.

You know, I can watch ET up until the part where ET gets sick and the government people are there. It just freaks me out. Much to Marc's chagrin.

LL, I saw a special People today at Barnes and Noble that was all about Twilight. I thought of you! I am getting excited for the movie.:goodvibes

Things we have in common:
I love Mary Poppins, Ariel and Belle.
I like to have background noise when I sleep the fan or humidifier.
ET scared me when I was little too.
My husbands name is Tim.
I also love history.
I love making lists (this post is evident of that).
Ursula rules!
I am getting into Twilight. I saw the first movie twice. I have the book on hold at the library and I have plans to see the second one with a friend.
Ursula does rule! So cool that your husband's name is Tim. Twilight is a good series. I never thought I'd like a book about Vampires but now I find myself drawn to Vampire stories and now I'm watching Vampire Diaries.

Yay, I finally made it over!

I am the same way about loud or conflicting noise! When I'm in the car with someone, I also can't have the music up if we're talking. If I'm somewhere with a lot of people and there's a lot of background noise, I have such a hard time talking to anyone because I can't focus on what they are saying.

Also, ET freaks me out as well, I love history (especially local history), love making lists (frequently make to-do lists with things I've already done so I can cross them off and feel productive), love to read, and your cats are precious!
I even have a hard time with the dishwasher running (ours is wicked loud) while trying to watch tv. Very distracting.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is freaked out by ET.

Things we have in common:

*I must have a fan on every night too.

*I have two beautiful kitties too! (Your Sully is gorgeous! :))

*Because of you, I checked out all the light fixtures on our last trip!

*I loved the Twilight books, too; although the books better than the movie. I'd rather imagine MY Edward!! (and I didn't love Breaking Dawn.)

*I'm scheduled to have a gastric bypass in June.

*I LOVE to read. Books: PC & Kristen Cast's House of Night series, JD Robb's In Death series

*I have one younger brother named Dean.

*I don't mind loud noise, but I totally agree on the conflicting noise. I can't stand even music while I'm trying to go to sleep and I have trying to talk in loud restaurants or bars.
Thanks for the book suggestions. I wish you luck with your gastric bypass in June. You'll have to keep me updated with how it's going for you. See, the Edward I imagined resembled the Edward in the movies so that doesn't bother me too much when I watch them.
-Book suggestions: Bambi by Felix Salten, (It's quite different from what Walt made the movie into. It's one of my favourite books and I highly recommend it!), The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold (I read this one well before there was a movie), Blindness by Jose Saramago

-Because of your light fixture obsession, I now take note of all the different light fixtures around Disney. I've noticed so much more than ever before!
Thanks for the book suggestions! I've read The Lovely Bones but couldn't get into Alice Sebold's newer book. I can't remember what it's called. I will put the others on my list.

We had a lot of drama (coughahem MOTHER IN LAW coughsnifflecough) during the wedding planning and I'm finally at the point where I can look at the Wedding pictures and smile. It was a magical day.

Oh my with all of you and your fans!! ;) I can't think of sleeping with a fan on when it is 15 degrees outside!!

Tracy
I almost always love the books over the movies but I can appreciate their differences. The only book to movie that really makes me mad is Where The Heart Is. It was a wonderful book, much better than the movie and they changed stupid things in the movie. Like in the book her number that she didn't like was 7, in the movie 5. Explain that one to me.

My kitties have a love hate relationship as well

I love Belle, followed closely by Mary Poppins!

I love Twilight and am really looking forward to my ladies night out evening at New Moon on the 20th!

I adore light fixtures
I am so looking forward to the 20th. I really can't wait. I'm going with my co-worker and she is even more excited so it's going to be a good time!

A Girl Named Zippy? I haven't heard of that before. I will have to look it up. Yeah...70lb dog NOT a lap dog. I'm not a huge dog person. I like little dogs or really well behaved big dogs.

LL your too funny!! I love the Who is This LL Character post!

That is too funny about Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz!

I am so grateful Marc likes to cook. I am so spoiled by it!

Oh no to the chicken pox right after WDW. My mom used to watch one of my classmates after school and she got them right before we left so she knew it was coming.

:thumbsup2
YAY!! I haven't put those other books in the mail to you yet but I will get on that. Probably later this week when I'm home from work caring for Marc!

Thanks for sharing all those great things about you! Love the wedding pic and the kitties. Lots of luck to Marc.
Thank you! I'm just a teeny bit nervous about his surgery. Which is funny since I went through the exact same thing. :rotfl2:

Thank you!

My kitties are sweet, except for the huge scratch that Ruby gave me a few minutes ago! Evil kitty.

I will babble for you anytime you want! :rotfl2:

LL, I saw a special People today at Barnes and Noble that was all about Twilight. I thought of you! I am getting excited for the movie.:goodvibes
I've already read it! :rotfl2: It was a good one!

I've already read it! :rotfl2: It was a good one!

Oh good!:thumbsup2 I was able to look through it. Now I want to go back and watch the movie again before New Moon comes out. On a book related note do you have any author/book suggestions for me?

Oh I have a plethora of suggestions. What kind of books do you like? Right now (Thanks to CP!) I'm on a H U G E Historical Fiction kick.

Off the top of my head...

*The Tory Widow by Christine Blevins (1st in series, other books not out yet)

*The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

*Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

*And Only To Deceive by Tasha Alexander (1st in Series)

*A Catch of Consequence by Diana Norman (1st in Series)

*The Widow's War by Sally Gunning

*The Secret History of the Pink Carnation by Lauren Willig (1st in Series, EXCELLENT BOOKS)

I love historical fiction! Really I like a lot of different genres. I am going to copy this list to take to the library. Thank you for your suggestions. I have been reading a mystery series by Joanne Fluke that I enjoy. It is really light hearted but entertaining.

I know it's a little early...but I need your help with my Christmas Cards.

Marc & I took some pictures tonight and I like some of them...but I'm not 100% sure if any are Christmas Card worthy. I really want this years picture to be an AWESOME one since we've come so far with our weight loss already.

Oh...did I mention we are wearing Reindeer Antlers? :upsidedow

Now, I haven't edited them or centered them yet. Just looking for opinions. I might try to take some more if you think we could do better. :rotfl2:

I bet you'd really like The Secret History of the Pink Carnation then. It's a great series that CP suggested to me. CP, isn't there another book coming out soon?

I really loved The Time Traveler's Wife but my Mom hated it. I think it's one of the best books I've ever read. I'm almost done with another book by Christine Blevins, I might do a mini book review on here of it.

More wedding pictures please!
Sure thing! I will do that soon for you. :thumbsup2
