So VGF is being raised to $230/point; probably where Poly2 will be at, or do we think it will be even higher ($245)?
I would think higher than $230 by the time it's announced.

DVC usually raises prices across the board annually and this recent change is only VGF. I say VGF achieves "sold out status" and shoots up past BCV and BLT, but sits under VGC. DLH and PVB2 get raised to the same 245 or whatever the new "high" price is for active resorts. Riviera and Aulani get the new "low" price for active resorts which could be $217-$230. Incentives will just get more aggressive based on sales. Just my thought.

Aloha! 🌺🌴Back to Poly1&2 pools...Someone on fb shared multiple pix & vids of current Poly2 progress. I know the plans show a decent size pool, but I sure can't see where a LARGE pool would fit in land remaining that isn't built upon.
If it's a separate association, guest amenities will be restricted to each. Both Poly1 pools can get VERY crowded. (Maybe someone knows guest capacity for entire Poly 1?) But Poly2 seems it will house many more guests & I don't see 1 pool keeping those owners happy. Convinces me even more they should have converted entire Poly1 to DVC & built an additional tropical amenities area w/new shops & restaurants.

The current pools at Poly are owned by the hotel and not part of PVB. Current PVB owners simply have right to use which means the hotel controls who gets access and who does not.

I can’t see any situation in which they will limit guests staying at Poly tower to the pool there. I think that all guests, DVC and cash, will have access to it and all three pools will be treated the exact same way.

Even if the pool becomes part of a DVC association…whether is a new one or part of PVB…my guess is they will use the reciprocal guidelines that are in the contracts of CCV and BRV.

Hotel allows all those staying at DVC villas get to access their pools and all cash guests get access to the DVC pool.

We may have seen the same images. People were speculating this would could be for the pool?

What do you think incentives will initially be for Poly2? Do you think incentives get better if initial sales are disappointing?

I definitely think DVC will offer better incentives after the initial surge if sales are slow. VGF2 looked great in 2022 with the early purchase price for current members, but this current summer promotion is even better.

I feel like it will depend on whether it's a new association or not.

If I remember correctly, RIV went on sale for $188 per point and incentives were kind of basic—like $500 for 125 points. It was a big uproar at the time.

GFV2 was an exception to the rule.

No kidding. Everyone complains (rightfully so) about the terrible sofa beds. Disney starts installing new Murphy beds, with full support, full-sized memory foam mattresses (length and width), and no crossbars digging into your back, and now we're going to complain that the beds still aren't comfortable for someone, or that we think the mattress might be thinner than a picture of one we saw at a value resort (a staged photo at that).
This is why we can’t have nice things lol. As if anyone could tell the difference between an 8 inch or 9 inch mattress or whatever the difference is supposed to be. I used to say the Murphy beds were the one thing they’ve ever done to the rooms that is pretty much universally liked here on the boards. I guess not anymore.

When is VGF going to $230? Any other resorts increasing?
Starting Sept 12th, but they'll most likely have incentives to lower it like they do now from its $217/pt price. We just don't yet know what those incentives/promos will be.

I think it was just VGF for now being raised to match VDH.

I wonder how the association will affect this. If this is the same association, will more people just hop on over to the resale market and then make Disney more aggressively discount Poly? If it’s different will less people want to buy direct because of resale restrictions? Will more people buy because the bungalow points aren’t attached to the tower?

I originally said I’d pretty much buy resale if its the same association but if they’re very aggressive with their incentives I would like to buy direct points to add to my 7 month pool for direct. If it’s a new association then obviously I’m buying direct anyways.

Thanks. I was unaware "hotel" owned pools.

So the new Poly2 Tower will also be a "hotel" property containing DVC villas? I thought the entire property was owned by DVC, so a separate association would be much more likely.

I think I wrongly assumed the same for RIV....owned by DVC but allowing cash guests- which is why I wondered if amenities access could be restricted to Poly1 owners if Poly2 is a separate association.

(If we enjoyed pool-hopping privileges again, it would be a moot point!)

Poly Tower will not contain hotel rooms. DVC will allow cash guests because 1) they'll own the majority of points at the tower for years and 2) they get to rent what DVC owners don't book.

It doesn't matter what entity really owns the pools.

They're not going to restrict any of the current pools because that's a major selling point of the resort. Even if Poly Tower is a separate association, there's no way you don't get access to the volcano pool, current quiet pool/bar area and splash pad. They're a key selling point.

I'd also be surprised if it goes the other way too at least for DVC guests. I don't think the demand is going to be there for it to warrant a restriction.

Yes. I as wondering more about access to all 3 pools being available to Poly1 DVC owners. But I think for it to work unrestricted, ALL Poly guests (Poly1 DVC, Poly 2 DVC & CASH/hotel) would expect full access to all 3 pools.

I wouldn't count on hotel guests getting access to the Tower pool, but who knows.

Yes, it's possible it could be like BLT - BLT guests can use that pool as well as the two pools at CR, but CR guests can't use the BLT pool.

Haven't walked that BLT area in awhile...I assume everything is fenced & that entry is controlled by the room key access codes? But the buildings are all self-contained & seperate BLT vs Contemporary/Wings.
With Poly1 consisting of designated DVC buildings & hotel guests in other buildings, I guess that could be accomplished.
But current Poly layout puts 3 Poly1 "Hotel" longhouses (& their patios/balconies) within a few feet of the new pool, directly overlooking the Tower pool area. Maybe they'll plant tall trees? Seems a bit awkward to me...

BLT replaced a garden wing and took some occupancy away from CR cash so sharing the pool one way seems fair. Same with CCV and PVB1 conversions of guest rooms having full access to cash resort pools without overcrowding.

DLH tower and Poly tower are both new structures adding a ton of guests while sharing amenities with the larger cash resorts. If tower guests/DVC have access to the cash resort pools I think it's only fair that cash resort guests have access to the DVC tower pools.
