The Plaza (NYC) on points....

Yes, I did mean the Plaza and not the Palace!!! Opps! Thanks for the heads up, Pam!!!

Anyone have more information about the Shelburne Murray Hill or Eastgate Tower?

And there was a more recent movie that featured the Plaza...It Could Happen to You starring Nicholas Cage. Toward the end of the movie the lead roles wind up staying in the plaza.

Just as an added comment....I think I've learned my lesson about staying at old time luxury hotels & DVC. I stayed at the Claremont in SF and was quite disappointed except for the meals there.

However in the case of the Plaza I wouldn't bother eating there...you are going to Manhattan...eating capital of the country...you can find anything 24 hours a day, 364 days a year...why give away money to a hotel when you can find the same quality and service elsewhere? That's why I love the days I occasionally work in Manhattan. Couldn't recommend anything in particular because I've never been anywhere twice. And I have never been disappointed....from the Oriental buffets to upscale restaurants...all the way down to the dirty dog carts on the street.

Does anyone have a website for a bulletin board on NY or NY hotels, travel, etc? Kind of like this one?

Thanks

If you're an AOL member there is a New York City travel board. (But, it's not as nice as this.) ;)
