Hey!!! So for a good character meal is this the one to do? My kids aren't as in to characters as they used to be but Id like to do at least one meal to get some done and enjoy it not rushing. I am looking forward to the character meets so different than DW and it not always sucking up all your time in lines.

Is character meet just for breakfast? Lunch? Whats the best time? Early morning would just waste our lower crowd rides times correct?

Who all have you seen there? What can we expect :)

Minnie's is only for breakfast. Plaza Inn is CS for lunch and dinner. Since you have EE/EMH as an on site guest, you might want to book a later breakfast as a sort of brunch. That way you can hit DL right at opening, get a lot of rides done, then relax and enjoy a nice breakfast with characters, get some photos, keep booking FPs with MP!, and hit the parks again after your break. Some people say after 10:30 am is too late, and you'll be on East Coast time, so maybe think about 9:30 am to a bit after 10 am?

Thanks! I think we'd be ok with 10ish. We'll just eat something in the room before hitting the park or grab something quick on our way in. I like the idea of getting in park super early hitting as many rides as we can and then when crowds start more taking a nice break for a meal :) I need to get this trip booked stat as our 60 day dining will be very soon.

There are lots of places to grab breakfast: Starbucks (2 in DTD, 1 in DL, 1 in DCA), Jamba Juice (DTD), La Brea Bakery Express (DTD), Tortilla Jo's Taqueria for breakfast burritos (DTD), EOS (DTD), Jolly Holiday Bakery (DL), etc. You'll have lots of choices!

Awesome. We'll just need to pick our place before and go even earlier haha don't wanna waste any precious park time getting food in the am!

The Starbucks in DTD (both) have mobile ordering. So that can speed things up a bit. And there is Whitewater Snacks (CS) in the GCH -- they serve B,L,D.

Oh good to know!!!! Is the Starbucks DTD out of the way from GCH? Whitewater snacks will be good too hoping they open pretty early.

Ok random question if you don't mind me asking because you've helped so much. You have no pic and your name doesn't give anything away. Do you have kids? Married lol does your spouse enjoy Disney as much as you! Its like I'm chatting with a mystery person HAHA.

The main Starbucks (Starbucks DTD) is very close to the DTD entrance for the GCH. It's right on your way to the main gates for both parks. First thing in the morning, you should use the main gates because the lines will be shorter and move a lot faster for DCA on your early entry days. (For DL, you have no choice but to use the main gates!) The smaller Starbucks (Starbucks West) is on the way to the DLH, is by the Lego Store and EOS, and is near the monorail DTD station. Make sure that you know which Starbucks you're using for your order! We have friends who get mixed up -- quite a headache!

DH wasn't a Disney fan when we met (he didn't grow up with Disney and wasn't really familiar with characters or movies), but has become one over the years. He says he loves watching me be happy in the parks -- that's his Disney magic! :)

Ok awesome!!! Ill make sure to use the one closet to us! Were gonna need lots of coffee. The time change is rough. My DH says he goes because it makes us happy :) He likes rides he just doesn't get the big hype of Disney and its magic and then throw in crowds and waiting for everything he really docent love.

We have gone to Minnie's a few times with a 10:30 reservation - this was when we'd use our 7AM Magic Morning. We'd get up early, have a snack, get in and enjoy several hours of light crowds and get a LOT of rides in and then head over for a great brunch. We always found we met a lot of characters, just as many as we did when we'd have the very first reservation of the day on prior trips. You see great characters there and the have fun interactions. We found we saw so many characters that we had to stop eating and it took some time to get through our meal.

This will be our first trip in awhile where we are not booked to do this again - as it's not cheap and our kids are sort of outside the age of enjoying it as much as they used to.

Family of 5, we have always done Plaza Inn's Minnie breakfast buffet each trip and thoroughly enjoy it. Last trip our kids were ages 2.5 to 9.5 and everyone enjoyed it. We had close to 11 characters! The interactions were great for us too, with lots of poses and autograph books and some tom foolery with Hook and my youngest in a tinker bell outfit. Lots of interactions with Pooh, and Tigger :tigger: and others too. Ideal time is probably mid-morning for you on a magic morning day, so you have a nice big meal and rest built in! I hope you get your 10ish time slot :)
