Slipping by the crew of the Swine Trek, we headed around a corner.
Past a desert supply shop and through a jungle before stopping in our tracks.
There it stood.
A metal Kraken towered above us directly in our path but luckily it was faced the other direction.
Off to the side was a strange vehicle and we quickly hopped on in an attempt to keelhaul out of here!
Meanwhile, our Fair Maiden parked little X over with Tramp who needed a break.
Luckily X was already asleep.
It turned out those mechanical speeders werent so fast after all and we needed better transport to evade the huge monstronsity looming above us.
It just so happened that, tucked away inside the jungle was a company which specialized in escapes to other worlds.
So we clamored into the facility and hoped for some Fair Winds!
At this point we slowed to inspect our surroundings a pirate must always keep a lookout you see.
And my did we see some strange things.
Some creature was running the facility which almost seemed like some sort of dock.
Except the ships here were like none Ive ever seen before.
They had motors and no sails and did not look like they could float at all.
Off to the side, a golden mechanical man was working on the machinery of the new fangled ship.
His counterpart, another mechanical creation was already aboard the vessel and also working feverishly as they were trying to prep for launch.
Im not sure I liked the look of this place.
But me and me crew ventured on to the next chamber where scrap metal littered the floors and more mechanical beings were hard at work.
What manner of facility have we found? There must be sorcery at work all around here!
And then, we even caught sight of an homage to that Muppet Crew.
That amphibian Captain is everywhere!
We were ushered to the boarding area and then a magical screen illuminated with instructions.
Not to sure what to think but ready for adventure, me crew boarded the ship and prepped for launch.
Belts were provided to insure our safety which made us all the more cautious as to what we were in for.
Nevertheless, me crew was all smiles!
We settled back for a new adventure and then, all of a sudden, the wall in front of us disappeared.
Another metallic creature began talking to us he was clearly the Captain of this vessel.
He introduced himself as Rex a newly promoted seaman as we prepared to disembark.
And then we began to move through the docks towards open sea.
However, it wasnt sea we were moving towards.
Shiver Me Timbers we were in outer space!?!?!
What voodoo magic do these machines possess?
Me hearties and I grabbed on as the vessel tossed and turned along its path.
I honestly dont think Captain Rex had any clue what he was doing.
We flew into large rock formations made up of ice, crashing this way and that.
And then vessels armed with canons of laser light began attacking from all sides.
Oh how I wished we were back in the seas with a rusty cutlass in my grip.
Finally we spun around (I must say this vessel maneuvered better than mine), and entered a long trench.
Once again, blasts of light flew all around us. I didnt want to know what happened if one of them found its mark.
At the end of the trench, the Capn dropped a torpedo into a hole and apparently started a chain reaction.
We hoisted the sails and fled the scene just as a monstrous orb exploded into billions of pieces.
Our Capn seemed satisfied as he headed for home and we once again docked.
In the process, we almost destroyed the dock
and our vessel.
Me crew scampered out of the vessel and were happy to be back on the ground.
The port was bustling and no one seemed to mind that these ships were destined for space and not the sea.
In fact, overhead were directions to pick up luggage and any metallic creatures you may have left behind.
Apparently these creatures are referred to as droids
Beyond the gates, we entered a trading post known as Tattoine Traders.
We know this establishment well and have taken many a portrait here.
In fact, compare how the crew has grown with a shot of the First Mate from 2006 as well as now:
And dont forget the Pirate Princess
Happy to be back at port, the entire crew posed under the jungle canopy
Then we headed back to where The Tramp was waiting with little X who was still asleep.
But since the sun had dropped a bit over the horizon, we wanted a new set of portraits on those speeder bikes.
After all, I may be a dread Pirate Captain, but I am merely a kid at heart!
Alas, the gigantic metallic Kraken was still on guard.
We would have to make a break for it.
Stay tuned as we make our move!
