This is supposed to be Moms story but shes been busy packing for her trip this weekend.
So youre stuck with me and a second-hand account of the goings on.
After Soarin, Mom had strict instructions to go directly to Kim Possible at Innoventions and get us 11:00 tickets to check-in at the International Gateway.
This somehow translated to having Mom stroll down the rose path next to Imagination out to the World Showcase Lagoon and find the Kim Possible station on the bridge.
She did manage to secure our pass for later and then headed back to the Fountain of Nations Plaza for a drink.
On her way she noticed a CM putting out a velvet rope near Innoventions and asked what was going on.
She was informed that the characters were going to be out in 2 minutes and no one was on line.
So, Mom headed inside Character Connection with X and DD and found only 2 or 3 families in front of them.
After just a couple of minutes, X was introduced to the Big Cheese himself.
And, of course, he was all shy
Mickey gave him a big hug but he was still a bit tentative
But once DD joined the group, he seemed to lighten up a bit.
Here hes even trying to say Cheese.
But more importantly, he wanted to now where Donald Duck was (after all, Xs favorite is Donald).
Alas, he would have to settle for Mickeys Best Pal.
And what do you do when you see a big, yellow, fluffy dog?
Why, scratch its nose of course!
And then get a giant hug!
NOW can we see Donald? asked X.
But DD wasnt listening she was in her element.
X didnt stand a chance however when Minnie literally grabbed him in a huge embrace!
X turned and then asked Minnie NOW can we see Donald Duck?
I dont think she understood.
After all, for her response, she tickled him!!
But around the next bend, X would be gratified.
There was the Duck himself.
X ran right over.
Do you know Ive been looking for you? (At least thats what it looks like hes saying
DD joined her brother for more shots.
But if you look, youll noticed Xs biggest smiles at the Character Connection were in fact with Donald
Last, but not least, was the Goof.
X was still on Cloud 9 after meeting Donald so he was all smiles.
And then he grabbed Goofys hand.
He was having a blast!
Finally, the trio headed out.
Not sure why Mom didnt jump into any of the pics but shell have to explain that.
And I think Mom finally decided to check her phone as I had been calling for the last 20 minutes.
By now, DS and I had given up waiting and were passing the Odyssey restaurant on the way to the World Showcase.
Mom hurried over with DD and X and joined up with us on the bridge.
We had brunch plans after all and we were cutting it close.

The expression on L's face just before the ride is priceless! I'm glad he ended up enjoying it!
I'm sorry to hear their flight was delayed!
