Safely back on Earth, we headed back toward the World Showcase Lagoon.
Luckily a boat was coming in so we scrambled aboard and were off!
We arrived on the shores of Germany shortly thereafter and wandered into the magnificent courtyard.
In the back of the courtyard, we found our destination.
Guten Tag! Willkommen in Biergarten!
We checked in at the desk for our 1:00 ADR. This was important as I knew the entertainment was to start about 1:15.
There are some benches off to the side where you can wait until your buzzer goes off.
So we wandered the countryside
Ours mouths began to water as we discovered the menu.
And boy were we lucky we arrived just in time for Oktoberfest!
Our buzzer went off and we were finally invited in.
We entered the great hall but, to our surprise, we were suddenly outside once again
In another courtyard
And it was nighttime
Our Princess dubbed this the Dwarfs Houses or Dwarf Village because it reminded her of the Seven Dwarves house from Snow White.
In no time, we arrived at our table and settled in.
Each of the kids had coloring books to occupy them:
Everyone loves this restaurant and its one of the must-dos on every one of our trips.
We especially like it for lunch as it is less crowded and makes for a great meal to last you all day.
Right after we settled in with our first courses from the scrumptious buffet, Oktoberfest Musikanten took the stage.
After some introductions, they wheeled out two sets of hand bells and were off!
Dueling bells! Such fun!
They two players would cross back and forth trading places and even steal bells from the others table.
Its a blast!
The glockenspiel was next and boy could that guy play!
Everyone was having a ball!
And then, the piece de resistance!
The Ricola Horn (or at least we call it that as it reminds us of those awful commercials for the Ricola cough drops).
Then the fun stuff!
Mom and I split a Riesling wine flight!
You can barely read it at the top of the menu.
This is sad to remember as the last time we went, these were no longer offered which is a great error on the part of Disney.
We tried some sips of the 1st glass.
Our waitress told us to go from driest to sweetest.
And she pointed out which was which.
The 1st glass was deliciously sweet and fruity.
Wait, they get
better than this?!?!?!?
Meanwhile, X was chowing down on the pretzel bread.
And I took the kids for some grub.
Check out some of your choices:
The kids downed the macaroni and cheese while I had a little of everything.
The sausages here are awesome as are the meatballs and everything else you try.
Mom had pasta salads, potato salads, spaetzle, and fish.
The kids finished fast and then went right for dessert.
