I was rummaging through my purse, pulling out the last of the receipts from our pin event trip, and I came across my little pin bag. (When we're walking around WDW without our pin bags, I keep a few traders in a small bag in my purse. If we trade for anything -- usually just CM lanyard trades -- I put the pins received in there too.)
I couldn't help it. I had to spread the pins out on my desk.
First the easy ones...The last of my rack traders from the DS:
1. Framed Minnie from the new lanyard set
2. "Hawaiian Holiday"
3. Easter Pooh 2002 (No idea how I got this, since we don't celebrate this holiday at all.)
All cute pins, no big deal.
Then I came to the two Beauty & the Beast pins I received for ordering the new DVDs for my family and for Joy Duckfan.
Those made me smile at the thought of seeing the new version of the movie!
Then I found one of the new lanyard pins -- Daisy in the inner tube. That made me happy too, because my DS#2 found that one for me, during our very last hour at WDW, during our last shopping run through DTD. And he handed it to me with such a pleased smile on his face.
Sometimes these boys are still cute....even if they're taller than me and mostly talk back.
Then I found the last two pins we found for Joy Duckfan (our pin proxy pal): Epcot UK Mickey Ears & Epcot Norway Mickey Ears. Each of the boys spotted these on CM lanyards some time that last morning in DTD. They were so darn proud of themselves!
And then the last two pins.
I didn't get these at WDW on this trip.
These are my two most special pins.
Even when I'm not wearing them, I usually have them with me.
The first of these is my Y&BC Happy Honeymoon pin -- from our 20th anniversary trip, last Thanksgiving. That alone would make this pin special. But it's more than that because a CM at Y&BC refused to give us the pin. Then my DH and the Concierge conspired to acquire the pin and have it delivered to me in a gift box.
The second pin is one of the original CTTs.....Given to me by Darlene (Mickey 7811).
Pins...Pinpals....
Just for a moment I was somewhere else...Instead of in my ratty old office doing a job I hate.
