The Palm @ HRH !

Has anyone eaten at the Palm restuarant located at the HRH ?

I am wanting to make a reservation for a 'special' meal on the night after my wedding day - just me and the wife !!!!

We are staying over at the HRH for 1 night and thought the Palm would be an ideal choice as we would not have to travel.

I have looked on the web site and the menu looks tempting - however the tariff is pretty steep compared to most places !

So - is the quality worth the price ?

tyke, we've eaten there 3 times which should give you an idea of whether or not it's worth it! It <i>is</i> very expensive, especially if you have the signature surf 'n' turf (steak of your choice plus jumbo Nova Scotia lobster).

The steaks are superb (and huge!) and we have always had excellent service. It's a good choice for a special dinner for two although not particularly romantic in that it can get quite noisy. I prefer a restaurant to have a bit of a buzz about it - I get a bit uncomfortable if it's too hushed.

The restaurant has a bar area, but you must have a drink beforehand in the Velvet Lounge.
