It was pretty fun. The girls, DD's softball team had a great time, even though it was really cold. About 65 but it was at night so we had a fire. Our team mom and manager did a shrimp boil-it was so good! No swimming though, the water was 62! (water here is always cold)

Tonite's their last regular game, against the first place team. We're in 2nd. Tournament starts on Sat. for a week and then no more softball until Winter League starts practicing in August (I know, WINTER League, right?). Going to the games is fun and watching DD11 improve is great, but it's amazing how only one sport can take up so much of our time. Min. of 2 games a week and 2 practices really eats into my Disneyland time!

TO ALL my upcoming swappers who are driving_

We desperately need a new box for the fridge. The fridge measures approx. 19 x 19.5 x 27 high. The toaster can fit inside the fridge but the coffee maker is a tight fight. So if the box could be big enough to fit the coffee maker outside the fridge that would be great.

The coffee maker is probably about 8 x 10 x 13 tall.

So a box 27 x 20 x 27 would work. Or 19 x 28 x 27, etc. I did a quick search and 27 x 27 x 27 is one standard size I found.

Maybe someone has a large box they've been saving they would like to get rid of?

If you are driving and can bring a box please let me know. I will be getting pictures and a first hand report this weekend from my DSis.

Just want to say THANK YOU so much for sharing your fridge with us! It was SO much easier than a cooler to fill and drain. Hopefully it will still be circulating when i am able to return ( btw arent they building some family suites at POP?)

Yes, across the lake from POP (where they were going to open the 1900-1940's buildings) they are creating...

The Art of Animation Resort-The new resort will have themed room interiors in the nearly 2,000 new units: 1,120 family suites in The Lion King, Cars and Finding Nemo wings and 864 themed rooms in The Little Mermaid wings. And once open in 2012, the resort will create 750 permanent jobs. Booking dates have not been announced yet

This sounds really cool and I would love to stay there once they open. If they open in Dec. 2012 (as announced) maybe I can stay there in Oct. 2013 (if DD's school stays year round) or during the holidays Dec. 2012 or 2013. Wouldn't it be funny if I still got to use my fridge? Unless we decided to splurge on a family suite, of course.

I would love to stay in the Lion King buildings but it looks like only the Ariel buildings will have regular rooms.

The All Star Music already offers family suites but one family suite is more than 2 regular rooms. However, you would, hopefully, save on meals since you have a kitchenette. Maybe if we had more than 3 going, it would work out. If I could get my 2 Dsis to go too. Perhaps another all girl family vacation? If my DNiece could join us that would still leave room for my DNephew to sleep in the Pack 'n Play. He would be almost 4 in Dec. 2012 (Christmas Eve actually)

OMG.. I cant wait! My youngest will be 3 this year. We have 3 DDs and will have to move up to a family suite next trip. This will be perfect!!!! YAAY!!

I'm thinking December 2012. DH says Dec 2013... Dont know if i can wait til then.

My DSis is leaving tomorrow a.m. and will be arriving at POP around 6 EST. She is bringing a page protector to put on the outside of the box just in case ours is gone. Also so duct tape. I'm also going to ask her to bring along a little baking soda to leave in the fridge.

I never thought when I started this back in August 2006 that my own sister would be one of my participants.

She'll also be taking some pix for me to update my first post with.

Have a a great time, Lori, WISH I WAS GOING! But hey, at least I won 2 tix (and DM won 2 as well) to go to the Star Tours Preview on May 20th!
