The Oogie Boogie Bash 2022 Thread (ALL DATES SOLD OUT)

Oooooooooh! I hope it means somethings rumbling in OBB world and not an oversight where they'll cancel and refund you later.

I’m guessing it’s an oversight since that’s the only Saturday party for D23.

Although having this available during OBB would really help our plans.

I wonder if its an oversight. When I booked DCA reservations on OBB days it specifically said that DCA would be closing early and WOC would not be offered.

Yeah good point. As others said, there isn't a desert party on Sept 6th, which is an OBB night. So it probably is an oversight. In a few days, the window for the 9/13 OBB will open and we can see if it's there... but I booked it, and best case, it happens, worst case they realize their mistake and cancel and I get it refunded. Actually worst case is they don't realize it, don't do it, and I have to call a million places to get a refund, but... LOL.

Tonight, my wife decided she wanted to go to OBB this year. Just got online to discover that it’s sold out. Are there any other ways to get tickets? Do they hold some for resort guests? We were planning on staying at the GC.
(Yes, next year we’ll calendar the date!)

It has been reported in the past that a very limited number of OBB tickets would be available at the front desk very early in the morning. Disney has given no indication that this will happen and this was the first time anyone remembers the ticket link also saying completely sold out.

We’re magic key holders…. I bought the last day of the presale…. We’re going 10/20. We’re locals, and my kids are out of school 10/20 and 10/21, so we may book a hotel and also go into the parks on 10/21. My littlest one is so excited…. She is a huge fan of Jack and Sally, and all the villains in general. This will be our first OBB!

Don't wait to book a hotel. October is booking up super fast.

This is correct. And pricing is reflecting the fact that it's expected to be in high demand. We booked the same day that we confirmed our OBB tickets.
On the same note so are other things. Car rentals are also booked up. I looked into renting a car vs. Uber and enterprise gave me no availability

If you are a Costco member try renting a car through Costco Travel. They pull rates from all the major companies and they are usually a decent deal and no money up front.

Echoing this x1000. The close hotels on Harbor right now are either sold out for several October dates or extremely expensive. I need only one night, and one of our go-to places, the Park Vue, was over $400 per night after taxes when I checked. Thank goodness for Candy Cane reopening as I was able to get a room for $250 including taxes. Still more than I would usually spend for a "just want to avoid driving home late overnight stay" but comparatively, still a lot better.

We had a late change of plans from WDW to DLR last October and all OBB dates were long ago sold out. We were staying at the DLH. I called the hotel and several reservations CMs leading up to the trip, and none would confirm if day-of OBB tickets might be available to hotel guests. They would not even say “maybe”! I was so frustrated.

When we checked in, I explained that we had to change our trip last minute. The CM said I would be able to try for day-of tickets, but that all of the onsite hotels shared the very small pool of tickets, first come first served. I was told to show up at the front desk at 5am the day-of to get on a list. There was only one family ahead of me in line at 430am when I got there, and they took my credit card and scanned my tickets as well. Then we waited until exactly 5am, and the CM called each family up one by one, and printed their tickets, until they ran out. About 8 families got tickets and then they were saying they thought they were out. So at least last year, I can firsthand confirm that they did sell them the day of our party (during Columbus Day weekend). The number available (or any availability) may be different this year when demand seems so much higher for everything.

To all who plan to stay onsite in October, BOOK NOW. I booked our rooms at GCH for October weeks ago, and the weekend sold out all all 3 hotels within a few days.

My reservation window just opened for our Halloween trip and I just realized I'm not seeing the OBB parade desert party. We enjoyed it last year and wanted to set it up again. Has anyone seen or heard anything about it?

They have not announced anything!

For those of you guessing the 9/10 WoC desert party was an oversight, you win. :)

Just got an email that they were canceling and refunding due to a “conflict in event scheduling”.

Oh well.. was worth a shot!

That was my guess but I’m sorry to hear it!

Pre covid... we got our tickets by just calling randomly one day and they had released some additional tickets back into the availability. We had a trip planned and had not planned to attend OBB but then our friends were going and already had tickets. So yeah it never hurts to ask.
