Ashley, how is Buddy? I thought about him when I was SO MAD at Jonas yesterday. He knocked over a full glass of grape koolaid -- right on Lyzzie's book report that is her homework for the whole week!! I wanted to strangle him. Then I thought about Buddy and was a little easier on Jonas (but I did tell him he's this close to going back to the shelter -- of course I didn't really mean it). I sure hope your kitty is ok!!

Emma is so excited because today is her Easter party at preschool. She wants to wear a pretty dress. I told her she's so pretty that she'd look pretty in a paper bag. She was still in bed and (I thought) asleep when she said, "Ok but we'll have to cut the handles off."

I had my appointment with my pain dr. this morning. It is so discouraging because he really doesn't know what else they can do for me other than keep managing my pain with meds. The ablation that I had a few years ago is wearing off and my sciatica is starting to come back. Even when it doesn't hurt that much, it's just so draining to be in pain all the time.

I still haven't been sleeping that great this week. I have no idea why. Last night I was doing fine until I had one of those dreams where you are not deeply asleep yet, and I thought a voice from my dream sounded like it was really in my ear. Creeped me the heck out!

Hey guys!!

Just wanted to share my good news- Buddy is home!! I'm so happy. He seems to be acting like his normal self! Unfortunately he has to be seperated from the other animals for a week and he's also on 3 different meds. He's resting under my bed right now. He did really good when he got home though, he ate an entire can of wet food, drank alot of water and used the litter pan within a half hour. The vet said that he has one of the best personalities of a cat she's ever seen, she absolutely loved him!

What did you guys think of American Idol last night? I really liked Matt & Adam. I was annoyed though, at the end my DVR cut off and I didn't even see Adam's performance live, I had to go searching Youtube!! I learned my lesson, usually I always record things for an extra couple minutes but for some reason I didn't last night.

I liked those performances too, with Adam being my favorite. I just happened to turn it on for the last couple minutes last night and caught him. I'm glad I did, because I didn't set the DVR to record longer either.

Lyzziesmom-Emma is too cute, I hope she had a good time! I hope you are able to find some relief from you pain. I've been sick so I haven't been sleeping well either, so today I bought some deep sleep spray from work to put on my pillows. I hope it works, it takes me anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours to get to sleep each night and I'm tired of it!

I was called into work today because my manager fired the one lady who she had been wanting to fire, all because she wore the wrong colored shoes. I also have to go in tomorrow to cover her shift. I don't mind it, I need to work. Yesterday was a little scary though. As I was leaving I saw two men fighting. I glanced at them and opened the door to the parking lot. Then they started coming towards me! They went through one set of doors as the security guard came running and I stood in fear that I was going to get hit. They all went through the other set of doors and one of the men ran, taking off down the parking lot. The security guard and the other man did catch him though. I don't even want to know what he did!

Maybe I should start watching American Idol so I know who ya'll are talking about!

Oh Nicole, that must have been so scary! I would have been freaked out for sure. At TDS we are not allowed to walk out to the parking lot or take out the trash alone, we always have to be escorted. Of course sometimes the escort is a teenage girl but it's still better to be in pairs I guess. I hope the sleep spray works, I have never heard of anything like that. Is it like aromatherapy? You should definitely start watching Idol! This season is really good. There isn't really anyone who I can't stand (usually there's at least one or two that make me wonder what the heck they are doing still there) but I sure know who I am rooting for!

Amber -- Our DVR cut off too, the show went REALLY long! Almost 10 minutes over. Even if I had the DVR set to the max setting (5 minutes over) it still would have cut off Adam. I hate when they do that! They really need to give the judges a time limit on their "comments." Luckily we were home and watching about 40 minutes behind, and had the tv on Fox so we were able to rewind live TV and catch the end of the show. I haven't watched the results yet though, so no spoilers please!! (Sorry I'm such a pain about that! We almost never have time to watch live TV.)

Ashley -- I'm so glad Buddy is doing great! He is a cutie pie for sure. Is it hard to keep him separated from the other animals? Mine would go absolutely nuts, I don't think I'd be able to do it. Jonas scratches deep grooves in the walls if he's locked in a room, the little stinker. He sure is lucky he's cute!

We are still without email at work. It's been a very boring week. I'm sure I'll have tons of work to catch up on when the email is back up but for now I've been cleaning out my desk. There are things on the TOP of the desk that are over 2 years old! The craziest part is, the company moved just about a year ago.

I am on call at TDS tonight & tomorrow, and then work Sat nite. I forgot to check to see if the mall is closed on Sunday for Easter. Oops! I feel like I have been away from the store for a long time (it's been 4 days) but I am kind of hoping I don't get called in, because there are a ton of things going on around town that I want to do with the girls.

We had a gorgeous day yesterday -- no coats needed! -- and today it is back to cold & drizzly. They are talking about possible SNOW on Easter! Blecch. I hope not. I still have to shop for Easter candy, can't do it too early or it won't make it until Sunday!

Well, today has been eventful. This morning my FIL had to go to the hospital. He was in a ton of pain, was very disoriented, and had trouble walking. My MIL couldn't gethim to the car and he refused to get an ambulance, so Mike had to go help. He is there overnight and they aen't sure what is wrong with him. They did a CT scan and it was normal, his bloodwork as ok, but he is in a ton of pain (and is currently on morphine).

Mike had his interview this morning. He said it went well and he should get a call next week.

Hey guys!

Buddy seems to be doing REALLY good!! It is hard keeping the animals seperated. Buddy has been pretty good (unlike on Monday before the surgery when he was screaming at the top of his lungs! I think its because he loves to sleep on our bed.) Currently Ruby is upstairs outside our bedroom door and keeps barking and crying at it. Lily is handling it better than I would have thought, normally she would be having a fit. Buddy sure has a big appetite!! He will eat as many cans of wet food that I can give him and is using the litterpan just as he needs to!! Thanks guys for asking about him.

Amber, Oh my goodness, I hope your FIL is ok!!! Please keep us updated!!! Pixie dust for Mike's interview.

Nicole, That is very scary!! I hope you don't have to go out unsupervised much, that can be dangerous! Yes you should watch American Idol. It is a fun show!! Did the spray work? That stuff never really does for me(probably because I'm convinced that it won't!) I do take melatonin every night and that helps me to get sleepy. You can buy that over the counter.

The spray didn't work. But I'm going to give it a week or so, if it really doesn't work I'll return it. I don't know if the spray was the cause or not, but I had a nightmare! If I have another one tonight, it's going back tomorrow!

Amber -- I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL. That must be frightening for him, and for the family too. What kind of pain is he having? Also, how is your grandmother feeling? Glad to hear Mike's interview went well! When will he hear back from them?

Nicole -- I'd return the spray if it caused a nightmare! I'm always very leery about products like that, I am very skeptical and tend to think it's a scam. Like Ashley said, I think a lot of it depends on how much you believe it will work. I will agree that melatonin can work pretty well. I used to take it years ago and while it didn't cure insomnia altogether, it does wonders to help reset your "body clock." You take it at the same time every night (about 1/2 - 1 hour before you want to sleep) and after about a week or so, your body will naturally get sleepy around the desired time. It's not a quick fix though. I hope you find something that works, it stinks not getting enough sleep!

I'm glad to hear that Buddy is doing so great! I could never just give my kitties as much as they want to eat -- they would end up looking like furry basketballs with legs! Jonas will eat until he pukes it back up, and then eat it again and go back for more new food. Then he will steal food from the table. He's even figured out how to get into the kitchen cupboards, and also jumps into the fridge & freezer whenever he thinks we're not looking. I swear he is a bottomless pit!!

Well I am not working tonight so we'll be watching the Idol results! And we just found out that we're getting off work here at 3pm tomorrow for Good Friday (but I'm still getting paid for the whole day! ) Our email is starting to come back up so I'm sure to be quite busy tomorrow. Now if only the weather would improve... for a day that started out crappy (I was behind a fender bender this morning, then stopped for donuts at the gas station & they didn't have any. The horror!) it's turning out pretty good.

PANIC!!

I open the mail at work. I opened a letter from my temp agency, and it details all the info for the new receptionist starting on Monday!! What the...?! The letter is from the lady who does temp placement, and I am now temp-to-perm which is a different division of the agency & handled by a different lady.

So I called my rep at the agency, and it is most likely a mistake. She said the lady who sent the letter has had a death in the family & been making tons of mistakes, plus their computers went down yesterday so some old stuff got mixed into a mail merge. Whew. I am really hoping that is the case. I explained that the last I heard was good feedback and my boss is not here today for me to ask him about it. She said if they were terminating my contract, she would have heard about it. She is going to look into the other lady's files and call me back.

Meanwhile, I am freaking out!

What did you guys think about American Idol??

Anybody have any fun plans for the weekend? We are having my parents and Grandparents over to dinner on Sunday but that's all thats set in stone.

Ashley, I was not surprised at all about Idol. It's going to be very hard from here on, because I think all the ones who are left are really good. I think Lil Rounds will be leaving soon. I really like her and don't really get why the judges have been so hard on her, but they obviously do not want her to win. She needs to ditch the wig though.

Lyzzie and I are pretty sure the finals will come down to Adam and Allison. I think Allison sounds great but man, she is so weird when she talks! I'm also beginning to think Adam doesn't like girls. Lyzzie was pretty upset that I might think that.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that he doesn't. (I know this because I saw certain incriminating photos online that I would share but I'm not sure if they are Dis appropriate. )

I like Allison too, but I think that she needs to develop a better personality. I always thought it would be between those 2 in the finals. I'm starting to like Kris alot, even though I didn't like him this week. I think Lil has a wonderful voice, but she doesn't seem any different than the Fantasia's of American Idol. I think she needs to develop her own style. I also think she imitates whatever artists song she happens to sing.

I felt bad for Scott, but I never thought that he would win so he had to go sometime! I thought for a split second that they would use the save just because they felt guilty but it makes sense they would save it for a better singer. I was surprised to see he was so young!!

They think my FIL had a small stroke and that caused vertigo. He is still in the hospital.
