As I left off, we were heading out to the Magic Kingdom, and without even waiting, we hopped on the bus and were on our way. As we pulled up alongside the Contemporary I nudged Lauren for about the millionth time, perma-smile still in place going "Lauren...Lauren...there's Space Mountain...Lauren! We're here! Oh I just love it here!"
As we walked up to the entry way, there were not many people around. It was still raining a little but it was nothing to write home about. This was our view as we walked through the tunnel and up to Main Street:
As you can see, the rain had cleared whatever crowds had been there earlier! I was also getting my first taste of the Christmas decor! From what I hear it is majorly reduced this year but it is still very beautiful in my opinion. It doesn't totally overwhelm you, just enhances the spirit of the parks. I have only ever seen the holiday stuff in pictures or on TV specials so I was pretty excited!
We made our way up to the hub and looked at Partners and the Castle. I really love the castle! I think it is one of the most gorgeous things and I love the magic it stands for and all that it is an icon for. Which prompted me to turn to Lauren and say "oh I just love it here!" She just said "Ok! Let's go to Pirates!" And so off we went to Adventureland! But not before I snapped a quick photo of the Crystal Palace (I think this is yet another gorgeous building at MK...love it!):
Doing Pirates of The Carribbean first thing is a tradition for Lauren and I. But there was a little misshap on the way there this year. Alright...we came to Florida from nice cold Canada...I wanted to get back into my flip flops....it was raining...the ground was slippery and wet....and thus I slipped and landed squarely on my butt!

Now, I should mention here that I had also taken a major fall with similar landing style in my driveway, on ice, earlier in the week! I was not only embarassed, but in some serious pain...
But I got up with a smile and we continued on to Pirates! I would deal with the pain later!
There was no line at all when we got to the queue which was fabulous! My inner Captain Fingerhook (my pirate alter-ego from previous trips) was emerging and it was all pirate-speak for the next little while! "Ahoy me matey Lauren, ye be getting on the ride with nooo linnnne...arghhhh"
I managed to get a somewhat decent picture (with no flash!! No flash photography means
no flash photography! This is a major pet peeve of mine! Sorry), at Lauren's favourite part of the ride...:
Why you ask, does she love this part?
One line: "We wants the redhead! We wants the redhead!"
From Pirates we made our way through Adventureland and over to Frontierland to ride Splash Mountain, then to Liberty Square for Haunted Mansion (my favourite!) - sorry I don't have many pictures as the rain had returned a little so I had the camera put away. Don't worry, there will be many pictures to come...I took over 3000!!!! I was a woman posessed! Anyhow, after we finished HM, we went into Fantasyland. I noticed there was a 5 minute wait for It's A Small World so I pulled on Lauren's arm and we got in the teeny little line (there was one other family waiting!). Now, Lauren hates the song! Hates it! Which inspires me to sing it loudly directly in her ear! I started in the line this year!

Which led to this photo:
Doesn't she look pleased with my singing! I try to sing off-key to make the experience that much more enjoyable! Bratty I know, but it's fun!
Here are some other photos from my favourite parts of the ride:
It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all...it's a small small world. It's a small world after all, it's a small world...
After this we made a stop at Mickey's Philharmagic and then at Snow White's Scary Adventures. It was getting close to dinner time so we headed back up to the hub and Main Street.
As you can see, the rain was still lingering, but the crowds were starting to come in for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party that night.
But we had dinner plans with some mice and dogs and a duck, so off to the Contemporary we headed. And that's what will be up next for you all!
Have a nice night all!
