I love IASW, I know lots of people hate it but it is a classic in my mind and the song doesn't bother me in the least! This is one of my favorite rooms.

Me too! It really doesn't bother me at all!

Well I do have all of these suits now...from my previous job that I have nothing to do with! And if I wind up with the nanny job I certainly wont be wearing them for that!
"Hey Kids...let's go to the park - Suit up!"

You could be like Mary Poppins, though!

Sometimes technology can be GOOD. Can you imagine what previous generations would think of a group of "strangers" meeting up at Disney for a week?

We get the chance to move out of each others computers and into our happy place!

I wish I would be like Mary Poppins! But in the end I have decided not to take the nanny job. I don't know how well of a fit I would have been with the family in question. I think I'm a little too easy going for them.

I think I have managed to Disney Lauren out! She has decided that she doesn't plan on going back for at least a few years. She says she loves it but that going every year she doesn't feel it as much....I understand where she's coming from and have no problem going solo! Plus we also have the thought going that we may head to England and Scotland in 2010 also, and she'll be needing to save for that. All my Dis friends will have to keep me company!

This totally freaks my mother out! "You don't know them!! What if they're men in real life?! How will you know each other anyway? You don't know what each other look like! What if they're axe murderers?!".....my mother doesn't know....we have a beta-max in the basement next to the record player...and the typewriter...next thing you know I'll find my mother doing her taxes with an abacus!

so at my mother's request please leave your axes at home for our get together!

All of us on a boat to see Pirates...now that would be one fun ride LOL!!!!! I could so picture it now LOL!!!

Aye, a fun ride! So ye best be ready with an eye patch or peg leg, savvy?

Lauren and I left the Magic Kingdom to make our way over to the Contemporary for another tradition;
first night dinner at Chef Mickey's! Yummo!

We headed on to the monorail platform at the MK and wound up getting on the track heading away from the Contemporary! So we made a little detour and just went through the long way, we had plenty of time! After passing by the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian (AKA, the Tahitian Village!), and the Transportation and ticket centre, we arrived at the Contemporary! It was a nice mistake though as we hadn't been to any of those places yet! We were a little early so we browsed through the gift shops and then got in line to check in. This was exciting as I met my first Disser!
Figment's Friend and her friend were in the line behind us and spotted my tag! After Dissing for nearly 3 years I finally met someone! Yay! Too bad about what happened next...
Ahead of us in the check-in line was this woman who wouldn't move up in the line, causing it to swell behind us for miles and miles! Figment's Friends' friend asked her politely if she could move up a little and the lady swings around and goes "Do you mind?!" I think the four of us probably had to pick our jaws up off the floor! She flipped! "What difference does it make if I move up?! Just mind your own business!!" She was NOT in the Disney spirit and we couldn't help but laugh! I guess I hope she enjoyed her dinner...

It was about 10-15 minutes before we were seated and it couldn't have passed quickly enough as we were starved! Neither Lauren or I had eaten an actual meal since Friday and it was now Sunday! Lauren was happy and so I took her picture!

Our server's name was Michelle and she was super!! She was so quick with the refills I couldn't believe it! I had to snap a photo to show you guys. My first drink is on the left and my refill is on the right:

Wondeful service! And I was a thirsty girl so I was in Heaven!

Oooh, the time!...ok, I'm just gonna post buffet pics for now as my family is due in any second for family Christmas. I'll finish the review and such in the next post. Sorry! Here's the buffet to get you started and then we'll discuss more!

The tree was too big for an axe, so we borrowed a chainsaw.

All of the Disers we have met have been nice, normal people.

Well, sometimes I am a pirate! I have several alter-egos that I interchange now and then...just call me Sybil! You know how when you get on Journey into Imagination it says not to let your imaginations run wild? Lauren always points at me and says "That means you crazy!" But hey, sometimes its fun to get out of your own shoes for awhile!

The family gathering was nice last night and we have another tonight! My cousins and I just sit around laughing at each other really!

Sorry about the abrupt departure last night, but not to worry I have tons of time this afternoon! I've brought Lily dog over to our house so I can use my computer and not drive back and forth since it's -15 out now and the snow is blowing around like mad! Lily's chilling out on the couch now watching Jon and Kate plus 8 so I have time! So back to Chef Mickey's!

Well, you've seen the buffet and our amazing refill time! Here's a picture of my first plate so you can see what I chose from the buffet!

Yes, that would be a cornbread muffin, chicken nuggets, mac & cheese and parmesan mashed potatoes!
This is what I ate. Well, I did have a plate with a Mickey ravioli but I basically stuck to those items. I have a very plain pallet(sp?) but Lord knows I love cornbread and I think He sent those parmesan potatoes down from Heaven!! Fabulous!!

Now, when we got there, Goofy was headed right for us and so we figured it would be a quick round with the characters. We were wrong. Every other time we've been there we've seen all the characters within about 20 minutes and usually a couple of times each! This time, we were there for an hour and a half and never did see Minnie! No biggie for us since we would see her later and have been there before, but it was different. The characters were very fun though! I don't have many of Lauren as I took those pics with her camera! But here are some of me! (Aren't you all lucky! Please disregard my hair):

Now...please realize I was chewing when Donald stepped up for a photo so I look pretty odd...

And of course one with the chef!

And then of course there are the celebration parties! This is where all of the characters dance and twirl napkins! This has become a running joke with Lauren and I after a little incident a couple years ago! Lauren has some trouble with the twirling...try as she might it will not twirl! So there she was sitting sheepishly in her seat as I flung my napkin around like a wildwoman! Well who comes over and tsk-tsk's Lauren for not twirling? Minnie Mouse!!! Oh it was hilarious!!!! So ever since then she puts the napkin up and just kind of gives it a little shake! It is soooo funny to see! Here's a picture, as you can see she even looks a little scared of the napkin!

Then it was time for dessert! I loved the Chef Mickeys Christmas wreath!

I had another bowl of parmesan mashed potatoes....
and a little tiny bowl of chocolate ice cream (but I didn't take a photo)

I have been to Chef Mickey's for breakfast (and it was yummy) but never for dinner! It looks yummy! I may need to make sure I stop there on my next trip!

That's where we ate Thanksgiving dinner. It was very good!

It took us forever to even get our first glasses of water. We were halfway through our first plates and had to stop eating until we could get some water to wash it down. That was really the only drawback to the meal.

Why thank you my dear! I did enjoy spending time with my family, hope you did too! The desserts are definately good, but I need to get as many of those potatoes into me as I can on each trip!

Santa was very good to me, got some nice collectibles! One lennox one I never thought I would get in my wildest dreams! It's a gorgeous Christmas tree with all the characters around it and even though it's a holiday decoration it will be displayed year-round!!

Nice gift!!! I have season one, but none of the others. However I too did get Neil under the tree! A little low-brow comedy in Harold & Kumar 2.... totally bad and wrong and I certainly don't do what they do, but I just find it really funny! And you certainly were up mighty early!!

Anyhow, I'm afraid I don't have an update for you...I have to go and get more of my pictures put on disc and have been avoiding Walmart and their boxing day chaos! I'm gonna be at my aunt's until probably the 2nd or 3rd of January but I'll try to do one before that! I hope you're all staying safe and happy! I know it's a little late but I hope you all had a lovely holiday and have a safe and happy new year (just incase I don't get over here again until then!!)
