The Official Who's Going in October of 2007 List!

Count us in! We'll be at CSR 9/28 through October 6 for a week of birthday cake and Food and Wine! :bday:

Anybody else getting worried that it will be WAY more crowded than usual?? My daydreams of walking onto all the rides in under 10 minutes are starting to fade....:sad1:

Tee Hee :lmao: - can it ever be that short of a line? maybe in early Jan.
Maybe - I'll be amazed by the lines - oh, wouldn't that be great!:hippie:

Well, I can only tell you that it's regular season for a reason! I am quite certain that there will be crowds, but it won't be nearly as bad as Christmas. I will say that if you guys haven't chosen to utilize Touring Plans or TGM, you might want to spend the extra money to have access to those Least Crowded Park Charts, so that you can plan to be where the masses of the clueless general public isn't. I have used Touring Plans for several trips and found their data to be right on. I have paid for TGM this time. So far, I have been unimpressed at the "extra" stuff that he offers for the much inflated price. But, I wanted to give it a try. I somehow doubt that I will drink the Koolaid again. ;) Anyway, to each his or her own. Hopefully, everyone here is pretty much set with some ADR's and a plan of attack!

Happy planning! The list has been updated. Maggie

Yeah...:cheer2:

Just had to post that my DH and I decided to go to MNSSHP while continue to await our daughter!!!:dance3:

I'm soooo excited that I can't sleep; I can't wait. Just have to decide on costumes.

Hope to see everyone there.

I am already on the list - but we will not be staying at WL - instead we will be at GF from 9/29 to 10/7 :)

Hey there!! Maggie, I have to start giving you a shout out to put together this list so thank you very much!
Through reading this thread, one of the comments was, "I thought October was supposed to be the slow season" - I just wanted to say Yeah, that's what I thought, too!!, Guess we were wrong!"
Regardless, I am so excited to experience WDW again. I've been four times but my last time I was a sophomore in college (10 years ago!!). My fiance hasn't been since 3rd grade (his one and only time!). He just turned 30
2 weeeks ago and this was my surprise to him for his B-day. And I turn 30 on 9/11 so it's my b-day present to myself as well(and just and fyi, we don't have any kids so it's just him and I)!! How much fun it was surprising him!! He had no idea it was coming. He was thinking it was too much money for me to get him a Randy Moss N.E. Patriots jersey! HA!
I bought the Unofficial Guide to WDW and wrapped it up. THen I wrapped that up in a box, and then another box, etc (you get the picture!). You should have seen his face when he finally did get down to the book. He knew exactly what I meant!! TRIP TO WDW!!
Anyway, just wanted to share that with you! YEAH, WDW HERE WE COME!!
Matt and Michelle (memomuffin) 10/6-10/13 POFQ :woohoo:

It's slow season if only 800 of us (plus our travel groups) are in the parks :)

Since only people who have actually researched WDW know that October is a slow time maybe there will only be the 800 posters and their families. :rotfl:

We were there the end of last September and the parks really seemed empty and the ride lines weren't too bad, but at the end of the night, after the fireworks, we decided to people watch instead of rushing for the gates and we were wondering where all these people were coming from. It was like a cattle stampede. We just stayed in place and watched until the crowd thinned out and it was safer to move toward the exit. Where were all these people hiding all day?

Where were those people hiding? They are the ones that sleep in late in the morning, get to the parks at around noon, wondering why they can't eat anywhere, and complain about long lines in the middle of the day.

I visited 2006, the first week in December, and October seems pretty slow compared to the extremely large volume of people that were there at that time.
I havn't been since 2004, in October, but the lines are were short and we barely waited more than 20 minutes for the favorite rides. Plus, the benefit is that it isn't 105 in the shade so the wait doesn't seem all that unberable.

Thank you for creating the list :)
I Hope to see some of you in just 44 short days. MNSSHP on the 18th as well.

My dh and I will be there Oct 24-27th for our 10 year wedding anniversary! We're staying at CS! I'm so excited! It'll be our first trip with no kiddo's in 11 years!

UPDATE...10_kyle_10 is now stay at ASMu October 8-12! Any other DIS'er staying at Music during my stay ?

Added a new Fireworks/Illuminations Cruise opportunity in the original post. Maggie
