Sorry if I offended anyone with the Veterans Day pic I posted this morning, I've removed it.

Honey, you didn't offend me. But I'm a hard woman to offend.

Congrats to Kyle! I know you're so proud. But honestly, I keep waiting to hear which college baseball team wins him over.

Dinner tonight was leftover spaghetti and sausage. I gave up on the MB"s and turned them into meat sauce. It was a big thumbs down from Kady....who doesn't seem to like anything but PB&J. Her Mom has finally had it and told her to EAT! After Marisa headed out to meet Jeff and pick up a new car "Pa" stopped trying to keep his laughing in, so the show really started. I now believe that I have to send two to bed early :lmao:

And to think you were worried that Kady wasn't getting the "full grandparent experience". :lmao:

Sheryl--Tell Marrrrrio "Niiiiiiice Lemons" :woohoo:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Hope things go well with your Dr. followup.

So, my WFD friends, I learned something very important on this trip:

It isn't a vacation until they call the Reedy Creek Fire Department on you.

:lmao: :lmao: Thank you for sharing that. I think being "rescued" by such a fine looking group would be a highlight of my trip too. ;)

It's my Mom's bday today so we are all doing dinner at one of our favorite italian places.

Happy Birthday to your Mom! How are things with your siblings and your mother's care? Is she (your Mom) happy? Are you satisfied with the way things are going for her?

Tonight's dinner is a pork chop casserole. It is a new recipe and one I chose because it can be assembled ahead of time and popped in the oven. I threw it together last night and will bake it tonight and serve with rice and peas.

I am going to a visitation tonight for the 89 year old mother of a dear friend. She was still very spry, but was killed in an auto accident. She insisted on driving even though her skills weren't quite up to par. She pulled out in front of another car on her way to get her hair done. Thankfully, the occupants of the other vehicle were not injured (although they are understandably very upset).

Morning all. The french toast bake was good--but you would've never guessed by the way the kids were screaming. You'd think I was trying to poison them. I tried to reason with Emma that the casserole had everything she liked in it: milk, eggs, sugar, apples, craisins. No such luck. Oh well, if anyone is interested in the recipe I'll post it. Tonight is going to be Clam Chowder with some crusty bread. Feels more like Spring out right now, so I need some comfort food to get in the fall mood.

Lindsay--Love the story! thanks for sharing

Kathy--No offense taken here! Congrats to Kyle as well!

Lauren--Happy Birthday to your Mom!

Thanks for the bday wishes for Mom.

Things are tense between some of us. We cannot all agree with what is good for Mom. I am happy that she is at home but not happy that some of us think she is OK to drive. Her memory and skills are not the same so I am afraid. I've said it before, her health is pretty bad...multiple anuerysms, ulcers, spinal problems, etc. so it just makes me nervous. She is a very old 74...:sad1:

I am so very sorry for the loss of your friend's Mom...

Lindsay - I'm so glad things worked out OK, great looking bunch of rescuers!!

Lauren - Happy Birthday to your Mom. Sorry things are still tense, but I understand how scared you must be with her driving. I'll keep her in my prayers that she stay safe.

Gretchen - So sad about your friend's Mom. My Dad was still driving at 85 right to the end, it frightened me so much. Baseball season will kick in after the holidays, hopefully Kyle will have a good senior year and even more colleges will be looking at him.:goodvibes

Thanks to everyone, yep I'm a proud Momma!!!

Alex is at a Pokemon card thing he should be home soon.

Do you understand Pokemon at all? All the boys here are into it (Liam has more Yu-Gi-Oh cards right now than Pokemon, but Pokemon seems more popular) and all the moms are like :confused3

Lauren -- Thanks for the Raglan Road review. We have an ADR there for our upcoming trip because, like Gretchen, we thought Dad would like it.

Kathy -- No offense taken here, either. Congratulations to Kyle! It sounds like a great meal he picked.

Gretchen -- I don't think you are strange at all for being wary of the processing plant. I don't even want to imagine what kind of conditions you would find there. :scared: I am sorry to hear of your friend's loss.

Lindsay -- Wow! That's quite a story. I am glad everything worked out okay.

Sheryl -- Great picture!

For dinner tonight I think I am making salmon, macaroni and cheese and spinach. However, I could be persuaded to get Indian food instead. I am still not feeling that great.

Lindsay - thanks for sharing the story and picture! Glad you had a great trip.

We are having Not Sanga, that Lindsay posted I think. YUM!

Sheryl, those are gorgeous lemons! Wow, they almost look like grapefruits!

Lindsay, I'm glad everything worked out for you. BTM is the only ride at Disney I've had to evacuate from. I found it a little unnerving, I have to say. Nice photo of your crew though!

Here are some photos from last night. Roast pork with a fig-onion compote:

I also made some spinach.

Tonight I am making a roasted lemon chicken, mashed potatoes, pan gravy and brussels sprouts.

Sheryl- Those lemons are gorgeous! So Mario come bearing gifts, hmmmmmmm?

:confused3 No offense taken here, I thought it was a rather nice way to start the day.:)

Sheryl--Tell Marrrrrio "Niiiiiiice Lemons" :woohoo:

Noooooo! Where'd the cutie go? :upsidedow

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Y'all are soooo bad! :lmao:

Kathy, Your asking this group if they are offended by a pic of a hottie???:confused3 :lmao:

Here's a pic of lunch I fixed for my DC-dear contractor!!!! :lmao: Last's night's Lemon Olive Chicken.

Lindsay Great Story!!! :goodvibes I'm very glad to hear it was handled so well! We've often wondered how they would manage getting Bob off of a ride in that situation. Very happy they took good care of you!!!

Becky, WOW!!! That meals looks fabulous!!! :thumbsup2 Was that a pork roast? Can you tell me how you cooked it?

Kathy I burntd my throat drinking my coffee yesterday as the picture loaded but soo not offended. Congrats to Kyle.

Lindsay I'm glad you were able to get off that ride in such great company.;)

liamandcaili I don't understand the fascination in the Pokemon At least the shows are a little more entertaining than Yu Gi Oh from what I've seen. Would Liam like some more cards Alex is not into Yu Gi Oh anymore.

Oooh, glad I dropped in today. Thanks for the eye-candy Kathy!

WFD? Teriyaki salmon, white cheddar shells, and mixed veggies.

Good morning everyone! I messed up my multiquote thing yesterday and lost all I had to say :headache:, and to a chatterer that is a lot of talking!

Kathy- Now that's better!
Hooray for Kyle! The scouts are going to have a field day with him so I know his choices are going to be excellent! I can't wait to see some of those pictures!

Lauren- Happy birthday to your Mom! I am sorry to hear that the aging process has not been kind. My Mom was driving when we wanted her to avoid it as well. I think that it is so hard for our parents to give up that last measure of independence, but it is equally hard to worry about them. This was an area of disagreement in our family as well.

Lindsay- you made my day with your story. You really touched my heart because I know that you have some limitations in regards to the attractions, but I really don't understand how they affect you, because you never let your disability get in the way of your life but you shared how happy you were on BTM I could feel it too. Then I stopped breathing when the ride got stuck, and then the calvary came! Thanks again for letting us know how wonderful the EMT's at Disney are and for that great pic!

Gretchen- I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. How sad for everyone .

Steph- I was dying when I read your French toast woes. I have the same problem here, but my whiner is 54 YO! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Laura and Sheryl- I have got to stop drooling over your meal descriptions and drooling over your pictures when I know we are having KFC for dinner :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:. Somehow it just doesn't taste as good when I just looked at a yummy meal and then I dug mine out of a box :rolleyes1

I am heading back in to the yard after I get back from school with Kady. I am a helper and will have lunch with her again. Her sentence of the day was "Tomorrow my Nana will hopefully have lunch with me." We are both bringing lunch and I'm glad of that! It took all day to recover from last week's burger .

I'll fix something with ground turkey tonight.

It's fiesta time in my house again. I have yet another craving for tacos, so that's what we are having tonight, with some Spanish rice.

WFD at your house?

ETA: As if I needing something else to happen to me, I am coming down with laryngitis. Not a big deal, except I am supposed to sing a solo at church Sunday. Blech. I went to the doctor and should be ok by then, but it's still unnerving.

Also, am I a total perv for thinking the silver fox to my left in the RDFD picture is a total hottie??
