You ladies are giving me a much needed laugh today.

I really hate leaving message with people to return my call which is returning their call with all my numbers, only to get "I've been trying to get you all day". My phone has not rung once!:confused3 I just fired off an email at least they can say my line was busy then.

I think we are having take out tonight I feel to upset to be near a stove tonight, I might burn dinner.

How frustrating is that!:headache: I hope your evening is better.

I'm sorry that your day was not going well. Hope it gets better.

Poor Marrrrrrrio, first we're checking out his butt in pics now we're talking about his huge lemons!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Lauren said almost the same thing. I'll tell you what I told her - we need to figure out how to do a WFD trip. I don't know what city could stand this much craziness in one place, but I'm sure we would have a blast.

:thumbsup2

I dare. ;) I have no idea what is in a Skyyberry Martini, but I'm in. Now, as for the sampling, I think your wanting to make sure they're ok before I order one shows that you are a considerate and true friend. :lmao: I'm sure otherwise you wouldn't be tempted at all.

So now I am searching all over for teh recipe and finding all kinds of yummy concoctions, but no basic SKYYBERRY Martini.

Kathy--Congrats to Kyle..."aunt" wendie is very proud of him!!!!:) I can not wait to see these photos...he is so handsome that I am sure that it will be hard to pick! Make sure you let me know when his first game is, I want to follow his season!

Thanks "aunt" Wendie, from Kyle! Believe me you'll know when he pitches his first game, nervous Mom will be a wreck all day, as I know there will be so many "eyes" on him this season.:scared:

I wish I could scan and post all of the proofs, we're having a really hard time deciding!!!!!

You ladies & your lemons are sooo bad! :lmao:

Kathy, That berry martini looks fantastic!!! Where is the Bellevue Lounge, inside the BW lobby?

Wendie & Hersey, Sorry y'all are having a rough day!:flower3:

Here's a pic of dinner. Hot & cheesy right out of the oven. Chicken Enchilada Casserole.

Later tonight or tomorrow I will have to post more pics of the bathroom for y'all. It is coming out absolutely beautiful, if I do say so myself! ;)

Yes, it'll be only a short walk away from my room hopefully.;)

That Chicken Enchilada Casserole looks so good - recipe please???????

Sheryl- I can see why you DD loves that dinner, it looks so good! I cannot wait for bathroom pics. Is Mario in any of them?

Kathy- nervous Mom's can come here, we will all wait with you. I bet Kyle will be fine, I know that Gail's girls never understood why Mom got all nerved up. They don't get that it is a Mom thing.

Dinner was good tonight. Salisbury steak, baked potatoes, corn and salad. Gravy on the side.

I raked again but left the leaves in piles for Buddy to pick up. I dragged them on a tarp yesterday down the street to the leave dump but by the last trip Kady was helping me to drag them. I figure if she did not pull with me I would have been in one sorry lump, lost under a pile of wet leaves :sad2:. It was sad.

It is official, I hate oak trees! I never do the leaves adn now I remember why.

Thanks Nancy, it's definitely a Mom thing. I can only hope that if he pitches for college I'll be able to live through it.:guilty:

Nancy I would take a skinny old oak tree any day I have a huge maple. It hasn't even lost 90% of it's leaves yet and the villages free leave day is next week. Maybe I can nudge the tree with my car ;)

Sheryl That casserole looks yummy.

I went to Costco for a few things and picked up a pizza for dinner. You gotta love a store that's cooks for you.

Sorry I vented alll over you guys. Poor ex got it to :rotfl: At least he gets the fustration and is also as mad as I am about the lack of return phone calls. Part of my problem is that there are 2 kids in DS's school with the same name and my Alex may have gotten an incorrect grade as a result.

Ok I'm going to go take another advil and try to get rid of my migrane. I love the tempature change here in Chicago 60's one day 40's the next my poor head can't take it.

That sucks that Alex may be the one to suffer for it.:sad2:

Hey we know the weather change all too well, we were at 80 today and tomorrow we'll be in the 60's.:confused3

I'll keep you in my prayers, I know how those migraines are, hopefully it will be gone soon. Have you tried excedrin for migraines?

Thanks excerdin has too much caffeine. Even though I drink coffee it gives me palpitations.:confused3

liamandcaili I don't understand the fascination in the Pokemon At least the shows are a little more entertaining than Yu Gi Oh from what I've seen. Would Liam like some more cards Alex is not into Yu Gi Oh anymore.

Alex would be Liam's new best friend if Alex sent Liam more Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Her sentence of the day was "Tomorrow my Nana will hopefully have lunch with me." We are both bringing lunch and I'm glad of that! It took all day to recover from last week's burger .

That is so sweet. My stomach hasn't been appreciating burgers lately either -- I can't imagine what a cafeteria one would do.

As if I needing something else to happen to me, I am coming down with laryngitis. Not a big deal, except I am supposed to sing a solo at church Sunday.

I prescribe hot tea with lemon and honey. A friend of mine had strep throat and still managed a great solo after drinking this. If you don't like tea, just plain hot water, lemon and honey works too. Good luck Sunday!

I don't understand either one and Patrick has cards for both (I think). But frankly Laura, now that he's 12, there are a lot of things he's interested in that I have absolutely no idea about. :confused3

Oh dear. I already feel like some of the things he really likes, particularly videogames and Yu-Gi-Oh...and now Pokemon, I don't understand or really don't like. I suppose it does get worse. I hope he keeps playing baseball. I do really like that.

Thanks Nancy, it's definitely a Mom thing. I can only hope that if he pitches for college I'll be able to live through it.:guilty:

Kathy, my philosophy is that it is better for me to be nervous than the kids to be nervous. My parents chide me for getting all stressed before Caili's skating competitions (and at this point, there is not nearly as much at stake as with Kyle), but I figure it is better for me to be nervous than for her to be nervous. I am taking plenty of jitters for both of us. So just tell yourself that you are nervous so Kyle doesn't have to be. I can't wait to hear about his season.

Maybe I can nudge the tree with my car ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: We have one of those too. I hope you are feeling better.

We did have the salmon last night, so tonight we had the Indian food. We needed something quick since Caili had skating and DH was going to a VFW meeting tonight. The spice still wasn't enough to kick this cold out of me, although I am feeling a little better than I did the past two days. Thanks for all the well-wishes!

Just popping in quickly with some photos...I'm behind on the chat but it's really late and time for bed! I'll catch up tomorrow... it's going to be slooow at work...

Anyway, here is last night's lemon chicken...the recipe stretches the skin so tight, all the fat goes out and it is just crackling crisp:

Sorry about the second lemon making its way out...not very appetizing! Sides were mashed potatoes and the brussels sprouts.

Tonight I made a mixed mushroom pot pie. Here are the mushrooms starting to saute with some leeks. There are five kinds: regular button, shiitake, lobster, hen of the woods, chanterelle, and porcini (rehydrated):

And here is the finished pie...I cook the puff pastry seperate so it gets really puffy and no soggy underside. I also make extra puffs "just in case" anyone wants a second one...;)

DH surprised me and actually made egg noodles to go with the chicken.

I'm glad I thought ahead and did dinner tonight in the crockpot as something really bad went down at our monthly business meeting tonight and I got home 1.5 hours later than usual. It's a very hard time right now...

Tonight I am making veal ragu with campanelle, except I am making it with turkey and ziti :) We will have roasted garlic bread to go with it.

WFD at your house?

Aimme

Lindsay I second the tea with lemon and honey I works get for me the 2 times I had layrngititis.

Not sure what is for dinner maybe tilipia something.

You'll live, you are just going to need more appointments at the hairdresser ;)

We have those too. We have planned to take it down for two years and it, along with 4 oaks that I hate are still there. If I hear Buddy say they are nice shade trees one more time I am going to scream!

I don't blame you fro being upset. Mistakes happen and that's fine. What is not okay is not rectifying those mistakes in a timely manner, especially when they affect kids and their grades. I would have a headache too .

FIrst, I hope you feel better soon!

I sure do understand how the jitters work. You're right though, better you than them :thumbsup2

Between the pie and the chicken my stomach is rumbling and it is not 7AM yet!

DH surprised me and actually made egg noodles to go with the chicken.

So Aimee- what do you do in your spare time??????? How on Earth do you manage???

I have chicken for tonight. I think roasted sweet potatoes for us and a baked potato for Kady. He classes always used food to celebrate Holidays and after one tried to get her to try green mashed potatoes for St Patrick's day she told me she "don't eat orange potatoes", and she "don't eat green potatoes", She "only eats white potatoes". And she still won't touch anything that doesn't resemble a white potato.

Hi All! I really want to get caught up with you guys but it is really difficult. I hope all is well...

Laura, Andrew LOVES his yugi oh and pokemon cards as well...webkinz too...He must have thousands of those cards. I really don't get it either.

Sheryl and Becky, love the pics!

Kathy, please share a pic when you figure it all out.

Tonight we are having sausage, peppers and onions, rolls and salad. Maybe a little pasta on the side.

I am getting my first order of Markey Day today. Andrew school is selling it. Has anyone ever tried it?

I raked again but left the leaves in piles for Buddy to pick up. I dragged them on a tarp yesterday down the street to the leave dump but by the last trip Kady was helping me to drag them. My yard is a mess since we got home. Tom usually mulches and blows the leaves but its bad out there. I guess I should get to raking too.

Sorry I vented alll over you guys.
