Whole Wheat Spaghetti and Meatballs (bought these at an italian market), lettuce wedges with blue cheese dressing.

Tonight's meal was yummy.

We overproduced a mexican marinade this morning, so I got the excess. I braised Chicken cutlets in it, then made twice baked potatos and sauteed green beans. Yum!

Suzanne

Tonight we are having grilled teriyaki chicken and rice. Mmm mmm mmm!!

WFD at your house tonight?

tonight it's lasagne! I'm a little afraid to cook tonight, though, as last night I almost burned out house down. I had set the italian sausage on the stove to defrost--we have the smooth top cooking surface, well, I turned on a burner, which I thought was the one with the pasta water on it--Wrong! I set the Italian sausage package on fire--I walked back into the kitchen and could see the package burning! I was really freaked out! OH well, I'll just be more careful today!

Ha ha! That sounds like something I would do. I am a terror in the kitchen. I even set MYSELF on fire once!

Tonight I am making grilled garlic sausages, corn cakes with a jalepeno, tomato and cheddar topping, and slow cooked bitter greens.

I am going with comfort food tonight -- garlic sausages, tomato sauce, pasta, bread and salad.

I've done that before, and it was scary!...My DGD says that I am a firefighter because I set the grill on fire and put it and our beautiful steaks out with the hose. DDIL caught the whole thing on her camera phone.

Anyway, tonight we are having spagetti and meatballs and sausage. Yummmmm. Maybe some garlic bread.

I'm making Wild Rice Soup for dinner and some homemade foccia bread to go with it.

Last night was turkey and rice with gravy and broccoli.

Tonight I'm just making BLT's. DS10 loves them.

I'm using last night's salsa and chicken leftovers to make an enchilada casserole. I think I'll have a tomato and cucumber salad with it and mango slices for dessert.

I am totally taking a day just for myself today. I normally work out on Fridays (at 2:00), but I told them yesterday to take me off today's schedule (this is also the place I work). I am staying in my pajamas and not doing a dad-blame thing today (hee hee, how Southern am I?).

I am going to cook tonight though. I am making us a pizza. It's easy and quick and yummy :)

Tonite I am going to a Tastefully Simple party at my SIL. My DD and DGD are coming with me, so the men are on their own for dinner. Guess that they will have sandwiches.

I am not cooking tomorrow either because I will be in NYC :goodvibes, so my family can have spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. I better come up with something good for Sunday, so I am heading to the 1st page. for some ideas. Thanks Lindsay, for keeping all of these yummy recipes in one place!

Chicken cutlets with fileto sauce and mozzarella, salad and bread.

I have a ton of cooking to do today for my niece's baby dedication on Sunday.

We're headed out of town this afternoon to visit my DAunt--and I know she'll have something yummy cooked up for us when we get there! Can't wait--great food and I didn't have to cook it or pay someone else to cook it!

We have invited the neighbors over. DH is doing big juicy pork chops on the grill; I made sweet potato casserole, biscuits, asparagus, and a chocolate pie. I also made some sort of burger/noodle casserole for the kids.

I have not decided what I am making tonight yet, but I do have to say something funny about last night's dinner.

For a vegetable, we had bitter greens--they were dandelion greens. I'd never made them before, so I probably cooked them wrong, but they were not that good--very, very bitter, much more than I was expecting. DH ate a few bites, then put his fork down and said: "This tastes like Ursula food." Huh? What's Ursula food? I asked. He said "You know, Ursula food. In the Little Mermaid, when Ursula is throwing all that stuff in her big kettle to make the voice potion. I bet her concoction would taste like this."

Maybe you had to be there, but I laughed so hard! Needless to say, the rest of the "Ursula food" went down the garbage disposal.
