Well, we're supposed to go to a Super Bowl party tonight and eat munchies. However, DS woke up with a GI bug (already done laundry and given him a bath), so we'll see. My dsis was supposed to watch the kids, but I don't think she wants a sick baby. If no party, I guess I'll make the snackies I was planning on, and add some pizza or something else easy!

penne bolognese from dream dinners....meat sauce with these chunks of stew meat falling apart.....mmmmmmmm

Lindsay...300+ now! Thanks for keeping up with this thread. It is my favorite!!!

Stephanie, Hope your DS is feeling better...

I am going all out for the superbowl...:lmao: I am making an italian hero and then all premade stuff...chips and dip, buffalo chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, potato skins and pigs in the blanket. Yes, I am lazy and not even making onion dip!!! Oh, I do however, have to wrap the weenies!!!

Have a great day all!

Oh, we decided on Whalers Bay Breezes for drinks...may a shot or two...we're nuts like that!

Lindsay - thanks for this wonderful thread and the work you put into maintaining it!:thumbsup2

Steph - hope DS feels better soon.:flower3:

Lauren - be careful wrapping those weenies, don't throw your back out!:rotfl:

I'm doing a new Emeril recipe today - shrimp and potato stew, with a salad and french bread!

Garlic Chicken and broccoli with angel hair pasta. Quick, easy and low in points. (I'm on Weight Watchers).

We have company for dinner tonight, so I'm doing chicken breasts with mango salsa, mashed potatoes and carrots (I cook and then mash them together, and add roasted garlic), salad and steamed broccoli. I'm thinking of blueberry cobbler for dessert (frozen blueberries were on sale last week so I bought lots, but my kids have been using them up in smoothies so I have to check the freezer to see if I have enough left!)

Life got too hectic yesterday, and I wasn't able to post. Dinner last night was baked fish and chips. It was ok, but not wonderful. I won't be making them again.

Tonight for dinner we are having chicken with peach stuffing. We are not big superbowl watchers, and our kids just won't stand for sports, when they could be watching Disney, so we'll be having our dessert (Apple Pie in a Goblet with Vanilla ice cream) while watching Cinderella. We're heading to Disneyland in 4 months, and we're trying to make it through all our Disney DVD's before we leave.

Gee Thanks! With my luck something catastrophic will happen...:)

I am eager to know how your recipe comes out...although, my boys don't eat seafood...:sad1:

We're having Lady & Sons fried porkchops and scalloped potatoes.

This looks soooo yummy!!!

I can't believe I JUST found this thread! Thanks Lindsay for keeping it going and tracking all the recipes! :goodvibes

We went to DH's brother's house for a cookout yesterday. We had burgers, potato salad, and the Calico Beans I took. It was an uncomfortable meal. BIL & SIL insist that their DS(almost 4) always try at least one bite of everything. I agree with that, but I don't agree with how they enforce it. He didn't want to try the beans so BIL held him down and SIL forced a spoonful into his mouth. :sad2: He proceeded to gag and I was sure he was going to toss his cookies. :scared1: Thank goodness he didn't. They were the beans I brought so I felt especially awkward.

We're having vegetable beef stir-fry, rice and potstickers for dinner. I'm not a big football fan so I won't be watching the Super Bowl. It's a good night for me to catch up on all the shows I have recorded since Desperate Housewives isn't on.

We're having Superbowl munchies. I just got done making quesadillas. To that I'm adding chili cheese dip with chips, homemade "bloomin onion", pizza rolls, & spicy popcorn (regular for the kids). The kids love nights where we have "small food" so they are excited. ;)

Allright, Zandy, that just gets a big yuck-o from me! What a wonderful way to make you feel that your contribution to the meal is appreciated.

We'll be having chili tonight and munchies for the Super Bowl. :) popcorn::

I'm not a big fan of the Super Bowl either, Sandy. I watch awhile, go through the paper, make my lists or read a magazine or two. Sometimes I'll go do some things for awhile and pop back in. I enjoy watching it my way. :)

I'll post the recipe after dinner... I have to check one thing before I can confidently post it! Silly me... I can't remember if I cover it or not while in the oven! Go figure!

The recipe was given to my Mom by one of her hispanic friends... but I hate to call it Spanish rice because it has quite a bit of garlic in it. You "compliment" it with picante sauce... but alone, it's not all that "spanish" if ya know what I mean... I'll post it after dinner! :cool1:

I just want to say thank you to everyone that posts on this thread. My husband and I rarely cook, but I have now printed out over 20 pages of recipies from this thread and we intend on trying them all! Thank you for inspiring us non-cooks to try new things!

Lisa

Today I am making crockpot chicken noodle soup. It's yummy and I haven't made it all winter.

WFD at your house?
