DH grilled T-bones for us and we also had some fries and salads. Dessert was either fresh cherries or ice cream.

We are going out with some friends to Jason's Deli. I've never been there and my friends love it. For dinner we are having some friends over to hang out and may order a pizza if we get hungry.

Tonight we're grilling baby back ribs and burgers. Sides will be Glynis' ranch potato salad (served warm) and baked beans!

We had a late breakfast so I can't even think of food now...We had pork roll, egg and cheese sandwiches...Did you guys ever have this? Taylor Ham aka Pork Roll is a Jersey thing...everytime my DB comes from VT he has to bring some home...

You should be used to me babbling now...what are you questioning the Frikadellars or Pork Roll??? The frikadellar things are like a meat patty and pork roll is a breakfast meat...yum!!!

I found this recipe I'm making tomorrow for the Superbowl

Double Chocolate fruit dip

3 squares (1oz each) white chocolate for baking
1 container (8oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (8oz) cream cheese softened
1/4 c plus 2 tblsp chocolate syrup
7 cups assort fresh fruit

Microwave white chocolate and half of whipped topping, uncovered on high 1 minute stirring after each 20 sec interval until melted and smooth.

In a bowl combine cream cheese with white chocolate mixture; whisk until smooth. Fold in remaining whipped topping.

Place half of the dip into a chilled bowl; drizzle with 1/4 c of the chocolate syrup forming an even layer. Cover chocolate syrup layer with remaining dip; forming a smooth surface. drizzle remaining chocolate syrup in a spiral pattern over the top. Using a cake tester drag through chocolate syrup, forming a swirl pattern. Makes 2 3/4 cups

Well, I haven't decided what we are drinking yet, I still have my mind on the vodka and cranberry I am drinking now ...we usually do beer for football but sangria sounds good...I have to see what DF wants...he usually will come up with something good...maybe meanie belinis...oooh, now I am going to have a craving!!! Whatever it is, I'll be making them...he tends to put 151 in everything!!!

Actually I'm trying something new. I saw Emeril do a shrimp and potato stew that looked really good, so hopefully it will be "Super Bowl" worthy!

Super Bowl--I'm making a swiss and bacon dip (RAchael Ray) and then I found a recipe for Buffalo Meatballs (flavored like buffalo wings, not buffalo meat) and I think I"m trying those as well!

We had a quick build your own baked potato bar at my sisters tonight. Last night we visited friends and planned on a late supper once we got home. We we had our first snow of the season, someone plowed into a pole and we lost power until; after midnight. Good thing DH had the fireplace ready to go! We ended up with ham sandwiches by firelight.

I am starting with hot dogs and kielbasa dogs along with my homemade sauerkraut and potato salad for an early dinner tomorrow. Then we are having wings, I don't know what kind yet, chips and dips, chicken and cheese quesadillas, and what ever else I feel like making. Was thinking of wine, but the sangria sounds good.
