I'm off to the first page to plan my menus for the upcoming week. I also have to decide which 6 pies I'm going to make for our families Pie Night next week. I know I'll do my killer pecan pie, but I'm still up in the air for the other 5. Have to do some thinking. All suggestions and recipes are welcome!

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished watching the Foodnetwork's Pie Challenge, adn am heading off to see if some of those recipes are posted. There were some amazing pies on that show!

Let me know what you find!!!

Thanks, guys!

Welcome back Lucas and Lindsay as well!

I just got an email from Boma with some recipes I requested- Chocolate Mousse Crunch, Coconut Chicken Curry Stew, Zebra Domes and Carrot Ginger Soup. :) If anyone's interested, I will share happily.

Those pies on Food Network looked great. I watched for about ten minutes before I fell asleep. The Vidalia onion pie looked interesting but I heard that the judges didn't like it. The Margarita pie with pretzel crust called to me, too. And the Creme Brulee one. :)

Tonight I had a green salad and some mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar and pecans with the little bit of casserole that was left over from yesterday.

I'm in the mood for Beef Stew this week. Anyone have a good, easy recipe - one with really tender meat?

Tonight is my husband's monthly Geek Meeting and he won't be home until late. I will probably just make myself and sandwich and tomato soup, or something. I got The Notebook from Netflix and will be watching it tonight.

WFD at your house?

ETA: I fell last night at my parent's house (yes, AGAIN!). I'm ok, just hurt my elbow. It's really sore but the rest of me is fine. *grumble* I'm getting too old for this nonsense.

Spaghetti here tonight... with venison sausage. My bil got a deer on Saturday morning.

Hope you feel better soon Lindsay!!

I wanted to find the creme brule pie also, but it was not posted. I also wanted one of the apple pies that was shown....again not posted. I am trying to put together my Thanksgiving dessert menu, so I am going to do a search and see what comes up.

I have a chicken stock going on the stove this morning, but no idea what to make for supper. Kady is still not feeling well, she had a stomach bug yesterday and says she is never eating again. I will make some sort of pastry and maybe a stew to bring to the shed today.

Good morning everyone!

Lindsay, hope you're feeling better and Nancy I hope Kady gets better real quick so she can eat again!!

Tonight we're having chicken breasts in a creamy tarragon/tomato sauce with some pasta and salad.

Hey you all, hop over to the restaurant board. I just finished our reviews, with pics!!

I'm hoping to make it to the grocery store this afternoon, so who knows whats for dinner. If I don't make it to the store, it's probably chicken helper (Yuck, but that's all that's left in the cabinet!)

Lindsay--hope you're feeling better!

Nancy--Hope Kady feels better soon!

Tonight we are going to have cheesburges with fried onions.

I have no idea what else I will make on the side.

Love your review and pics! Thanks for posting. :thumbsup2 Now I'm hungry!!

Thank you all for the well wishes. Kady is still not able to eat, and has been sleeping all morning, but the other symptoms are gone. If you can, will you offer a prayer for my Mom? She seems to have gotten the bug overnight. My sister is with her now, and I am going over as soon as Marisa gets home form work so that Gail can get some rest. My sister is a respiratory therapist so she is trying to keep her out of the hospital, but if her breath gets much shorter, she won't be able to do that. Thank you all.

Nancy, sorry to hear your little one is not well. I'll keep her and you in my thoughts and prayers. Mine are sick as well. Must be something going around. One child had to get a breathing treatment in the office and has been on an oral steroid and they both have been on antibx. since Friday. Still have runny noses and an awful cough. Not eating very well. I think they have multiple things going on! Missed school today and the way it's going it might be a few more days. Ugh. So --- long story short, you aren't alone! :grouphug:

I don't know what will be for dinner! Maybe pancakes. They both said they are interested in that. :)

ETA- It happened for my kids overnight too! Went to school fine on Thursday and Friday night the respiratory sx started. By Friday morning it was no question it was time to go to the Dr.'s. (The vaporizer does help some.) I called the teacher and she was shocked. He was fine all day Thursday! She could hardly believe he could get so sick so fast! It was very quick!

Prayers for Mom, Nancy. Please let us know how she is when you get a minute.

Well, I haven't made it to the store for groceries yet, and it's so windy, I don't really want to leave the house, so I'm thinking breakfast for dinner. French toast, scrambled eggs and sausage.

Group hug for all the sick and hurt people here. :grouphug:
Hope you're all feeling better soon.

Great restaurant review Lindsay! I remember arriving an hour early for dinner reservations one time because I forgot to change my watch for daylight savings. At least it wasn't an hour late. :teeth:

I made a beer butt chicken, shells in white cheddar sauce and corn for dinner tonight.

Lindsay, loved your reviews and pics! It's nice to finally see a face to connect with the name. :goodvibes Your Shutter's story was so funny. We have been to Shutter's twice and really enjoyed it. Glad your back, we missed you!! :thumbsup2

Awwww, thanks. Actually those aren't the best pics of me. I'll see if I can find some better ones.

Blech. I feel like I've been rode hard and hung up wet. I have a sleep hangover. Ever have those? The kind where you sleep a little too good and you feel rotten the next morning? Not to mention my elbow still really hurt. *grumble*

Tonight I am making the spaghetti and meatball stoup. It's all about comfort food this week!! We will have garlic breadsticks with it.

WFD at your house?
