The *Official* Walmart Lovers Thread

I too love Wal-mart especially since they redid ours over the summer. They have a great clothes selection and the food section has really improved.

I love Walmart. Walmart was great about letting us park, shop, or just take a break in our camper, too. Now our motto is "Don't be afraid to hit the road--Walmart is everywhere!" :thumbsup2

minkydog, that line should be added to your tags. "Don't be afraid to hit the road--Walmart is everywhere". Too funny.

Shoot, I was so grateful to have our local Walmart reopen a month ago that I was in awe.

I don't know where everyone sees all of these crazy, snappy dressers but I have never seen people who dress that way.

I don't see what the big deal is about Walmart bashing, my fiance and I work very hard and I am a person who keeps an eye out for deals and I really do notice that Walmart has great deals on some of the things we buy. Besides, I kind of like going over there to get some candy or nuts before going to the movie theatre  the prices!

We don't have many stores here, so Wal-Mart it is!

I've never been in a bad Wal-Mart, like so many people say their local Wal-Mart is. The only ones I have ever been in have been clean, well-lighted, and I've never seen any of the customers dressed oddly or outlandishly. I have no idea where those people shop, but it's not in the Wal-Marts I go to.

I've never understood the bashing that Wal-Mart gets from some people here. :confused3

My daughter worked 9 years in the accounting dept. of our local Wal-Mart, and was recently promoted to zone supervisor. There are people there who have worked 20+ years, I'm sure they wouldn't stay if it was "so bad" to work there, like some people think.

Maybe some people don't mind spending more for everything, and go to Target or another dept. store but personally I like saving money on everything I buy, so I choose to shop at Wal-Mart. :yay:

I LOVE Walmart! :goodvibes

I do ALL of my dry goods and health and beauty shopping there! (I get meat, dairy and produce that is fresher and cheaper at Meijer.)

I seriously drop about $500 a month on groceries and other "stuff" at Walmart a month!

We just moved into our new house, and there is a Walmart literally around the corner and behind our house! It's a little "different" :scared: than our old Walmart, but it does it's job... and it's great that it is around the corner!!! :thumbsup2

So good to see the outpouring of WM love here :goodvibes

My latest trip to WM (see recent thread about people soliciting for charities outside of WM doors....) I was in a huge hurry. I hadn't been there in a few weeks. When I walked in, they had completely rearranged 2/3 of the floor space. The only things that were in the same place were the grocery aisles to the far left side. It looked like they had made a whole new store. The aisles were nice and wide and not full of "islands" that you have to try to navigate around while avoiding kids on bikes, chit chatters, and ECVs. It was surreal! But after shopping there under the old configuration for the past 7 years, now I need to memorize the new floor plan - hopefully before Christmas shopping :lmao:

You know where the coolest Wal-Mart is? Roswell, New Mexico. Roswell is the home of the supposed UFO landing back in the 40s (?) The main streets are decorated in alien theme, right down to the street lights--they look like alien heads. The Walmart has pictures of aliens on the front of the building. It is so cool, we pulled in and took pictures! When my DH went in the buy some things he asked the clerk "Don't y'all get sick and tired of all the UFO stuff?" She looked at him, wide-eyed, and said,"Oh no, sir. I be-LEEVE!" :hippie: cue "Twilight Zone" music and tiptoe quietly out of the store and sprint to the RV.

Its not Walmart, its the people in them. Mine is nice and clean, big and open aisle but as much as I love their prices I hate going to it because of the people who are always shopping there.

Not anyone here of course :flower3:

Is it true? Is it really, really true??? Omg, you have accomplished the impossible. I tried, others.. nay hundreds tried, but YOU did it!!! You got that miserable thread knocked down to page 3. I will pray to the 6 lb 8 oz baby Jesus that no one has the foolish inclination to comment on it any further.

THANK YOU!!!

:worship::worship::worship:

Carry on, Lovers of the Big W. Don't reply to this either or the sickness may follow. Just sayin'.:)

I feel the need to correct you I believe it is the 6lb 8 oz newborn baby jesus( I admit I could be wrong 'cause little Walker & Texas Ranger are giving me headache right now sassin' their grandpappy).

Anyway I also luvs me some Wal Mart.

If you have to ask, don't worry you are not one of them :)

I probably am. ;)

I don't think it's any more appropriate to stereotype WM customers than any other group. Anyway, that's not what this thread is about. :goodvibes

The hubster works overnite at Wally World, so I have to like it by default. :rolleyes1

I worked there for five years and never felt the need to love it.

As a consumer, I can understand shopping there. As a former employee, I hate the place with a passion.
