Thanks again everyone, our deed was just recorded so I am hoping for a delivery soon..lol. I'll keep you updated..lol

I of course have another question...
I just read something about add on points. Are they the same as one time use points?
Also, if I bank my points and then decide to take a trip am I allow to purchase one time use points for a quick trip, or do I have to have some points left currently to buy OTU points?

Add on points are points in a new contract that you buy to add onto your membership. So points that you own.

OTUP are points you can buy when in the process of booking a reservation at 7 months or closer to checkin and don’t quite have enough of your own points available. You have to call MS to buy them, because essentially they’re DVC’s points that are being transferred to you. And in your scenario, yes, you could buy OTUP, a maximum of 24 per UY at $20 each, if you banked your own points and then planned a quick trip.

Thanks, I assumed that add on points were just a second contract.

I love this OTUPoints idea. I feel that will definitely be something we might really take advantage of.

COURTYARD POOL IS OPEN!

Picture posted on FB.
I was there this past week when it opened, and the crazy part is the bartender at the courtyard bar said all they did was replace the roof. He was dumbfounded as to why it took so long.

Yes, that’s actually all the announcement stated “routine maintenance on the Courtyard Pool building.”

Art From 1900 Park Fare Restaurant Now Available for Purchase at Disney’s Grand Floridian

A new Art of Disney on Demand kiosk has been added to the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the kiosk sells several pieces of art from 1900 Park Fare that are available to purchase for the first time.

Entrance to the boutique store Acadiana Mercantile with open double doors reveals a Grand Floridian-inspired interior. Mannequins display clothing and accessories, while the tiled flooring with decorative inlays adds an artistic touch.

The new kiosk has been added to the M. Mouse Mercantile gift shop located on the second floor of the Grand Floridian Resort lobby.

A well-lit Disney-themed store in the Grand Floridian boasts display shelves filled with plush toys, shirts, and unique merchandise. An on-demand kiosk takes center stage, allowing guests to explore custom options while a few customers browse in the background like living art.

The Art of Disney on Demand kiosk has been placed directly in the middle of the store’s center room. The wood around the stand has been painted white with gold trim to match the store’s aesthetic.

A touchscreen at the Grand Floridian Resort displays eight Disney-themed artwork thumbnails, each labeled with a character name. The options include Tiana, Alice, Rapunzel, Snow White, Ariel, and others. Indulge in this captivating digital art experience during your stay.

The kiosk can be used to order art that is printed and shipped to guests’ homes. There is a regular selection of art featuring Disney characters and park icons. However, like the kiosk at Disney’s Riviera Resort, the Grand Floridian kiosk also features art exclusive to the resort.

A digital display at the Grand Floridian showcases three stunning Disney artwork thumbnails: Belle, Sword in the Stone, and Sleeping Beauty. Experience art on demand with menu options like start, categories, search, and basket for seamless navigation. This Grand Floridian Art piece showcases a stunning mermaid with red hair and a green tail, holding a fork amid vibrant sea creatures in a mesmerizing blue aquatic setting. Perfect for any space, it's available through our On Demand Kiosk for resort-inspired elegance.
The eleven pieces of art available in the Grand Floridian tab are comprised of paintings that were added to 1900 Park Fare when the restaurant reopened in April 2024.

The new paintings were added to 1900 Park Fare during its lengthy refurbishment. Guests dining in the restaurant can see the full-size paintings adorning the walls of the main buffet room near the ceiling.

A series of framed paintings adorn the peach-colored wall in a gallery-like setting, reminiscent of Park Fare Art at the Grand Floridian Resort, all beautifully illuminated by recessed lighting.
The paintings in 1900 Park Fare were all chosen to match the renovated restaurant’s theme of characters who all achieved their dreams after making a wish. Some of the art includes Aladdin wishing on Genie’s lamp, Tiana wishing on a star, and Belle wishing for adventure in the great wide somewhere. The characters meeting guests in the restaurant also match this theme.

I would love one of those guava cream cheese rolls. We love the guava danish at Tamu Tamu in AK.

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere in this massive thread at some point but does anyone know how good availability is at the 7 month mark here for a 2BR villa in June? I'm contemplating either buying direct at Riviera or buying resale here depending on the answer. Thanks.
