This doesn’t change the fact that VDH is a very studio and duo heavy resort. It’s going to be much harder to get villas than at VGC. Not impossible, but more difficult if not booking at 11m depending on number of nights & flexibility.

We got 2 studios and waitlisted a 1bd right at 11m for this upcoming Jan 1-5 and it never came through…..

Possible ..yes. Cancellations happen & may depend on how long you let waitlist run. One plus with VDH, there is still inventory to declare. Might get lucky and hit a time when units enter the system!

Downside to WL in CA is the way they classify rooms. You should be able to say give me any 1 bed that becomes available.

@AstroBlasters do you have some VDH points too? I thought all your California points were at VGC.

I will be very interested to see how availability changes, but the studio-heaviness could be a problem at times. Great for short trips with few people but more 1 br and 2 br would be nice too.

I have access to 150 VDH points.

I slept on the murphy for two trips to Boulder Ridge and found it to be comfortable. (Though the second trip, it was already getting a bit too soft from use, I think.) I actually found it to be MORE comfortable than the regular bed in the studio during that first trip. I'll be curious to see how I feel about the murphys on the west coast. I assume they have the same mattresses but maybe not.
