"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

All I have to say is last night the best quote came from Jason to Rev. Steve "I reckon I've already been to heaven, and it was ................." well you all know the rest!!!!:lmao::lmao: :thumbsup2 YESSSSSSS Jason!

I thought last night's episode was great. Did anyone catch Eric smiling just a little after he had his talk with Lafayette?

Can anyone tell me what a blood orange soda might taste like? My son is saying I should by True Blood the drink since I'm so addicted to the show. It's killing me though, that I might not like it and it's probably 27 bucks or so with shipping.

Isn't it going to be in stores??? It is not going to be available until Sept for the season finale.

I can't stand the gore. :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

I said when I joined this thread last season that I'm not into Vampire stuff. :p Too much blood & gore. I only watch it for Bill. . . and now Eric. . .

I love the blood and gore! TRUE VAMP SHOW!:thumbsup2

Godric is a little mellow for my taste, but he does keep the peace. I would rather see vamps attcking, but, what are you gonna do.............in time I guess.

I could not get enough of Eric last night! He looked so HOT......and tall! I was laughing when he was distracting the church members when he and Sookie were trying to escape and was he talking in that goofy voice, at first, and then, he meant business!:woohoo:

I am now obsessed with Eric, even with his short hair! :worship:

:rolleyes1;)

I think Godric has just "evolved" and realizes he can get more done by being patient and benevolent.

I think the writing this year is *so* much better than the first season. Each week I keep waiting for Sunday to get here. I'll be sorry when this season's over.

Being a fan of the books, I'm not at all upset by the HBO version. It's different and I never know exactly what to expect!

As a huge fan of the books, I'm liking the differences, too...it would surely be boring if I always knew what was gonna happen...the only difference I really don't like is with Sookie herself. By this point in the second book, she has saved the vampires' butts a couple of times, proving herself absolutely invaluable to them. On the show she just seems to find herself in the middle of things, but hasn't yet been the heroine of her novels. I miss that Sookie.

:sunny: (We need a fanged smiley!)

RUDisney.....they explained the sleep thing to you. They must have been listening. That was pretty cool actually.
I missed that. I haven't gotten to watch the episodes more than 1X yet. I watched them back to back last night since I was away last week. I really wish hotels would supply HBO. What did they say?
However, my favorite part from this week's episode was when Eric pretended to be human at the Fellowship of the Sun. :rotfl2: His southern accent and aw shucks manner cracked me up. It was like he took lessons from Jason.
Isn't that the truth?!? I loved Eric's southern hick personna.

I kept waiting for the big vampire fight that was in the books. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see that.

As for Tara and Eggs eating the heart, that was weird, but done so much better than the brain-eating scene in Hannibal. I'm ready for Maryanne's character to go away. I can't wait to see them wrap that up.

This was a very good episode. Each week, they seem to be getting better and better. I'm sure the season finale is going to be great! I loved Eric this week!:lovestruc

I also like the changes they make from the book, especially fleshing out minor characters! BUT, I hope this isn't leading up to keeping Sookie and Bill together. I like that she dates around in the books, especially with Eric. :lovestruc

I have a question from last week's episode. When Detective Belfleur showed up at the orgy, why wasn't he affected by Maryann? Since we know supernaturals aren't affected, an that mean he has some supernatural ability that we don't yet know about?

Probably too much alcohol was already affecting the brain. Maybe her powers don't work as well on sloshy brain matter. :teeth: It could be like that Mel Gibson movie, Signs, where a simple liquid affected the aliens.

so the episodes are more interesting than the first few this season...but I'm still not happy. Personally I think the writing it pretty bad this season and I seem to be in the minority, but I still would have rather have seen an actual series of the books, not something VERY loosely based on the books. I just don't see the point of associating the series with the books if they are going to change that much. I keep watching, but every week I'm just disappointed and I was SO excited when I heard they were making a series OF the books and then they've just proceeded to mess it all up...:sad1:

I think if it was just a random vamp show, I might actually like it. But to take something and try tie it into the books and then mess up so much, just really confuses/annoys me.

ITA!!!!

Did I miss this part? What "talk" did they have? Please fill me in cuz I think I'm having a brain fart!

Again, ITA!!!

I could not get enough of Eric last night! He looked so HOT......and tall!

I am now obsessed with Eric, even with his short hair! :worship:

Last night was the first time I noticed how tall he was! It reminded me of another tall man we find attractive.:rolleyes1 Hmmm, wonder if they have the same attributes?!

I've kicked Bill to the curb and replaced him with Eric, he has definitely tripped my trigger!

Very nice!:goodvibes

I think Godric has just "evolved" and realizes he can get more done by being patient and benevolent.

What I was curious about was when he said he didn't need "much" blood anymore, how come?

As for Tara and Eggs eating the heart, that was weird, but done so much better than the brain-eating scene in Hannibal. I'm ready for Maryanne's character to go away. I can't wait to see them wrap that up.

I was trying to figure out how the dish went from frying a heart in onions & green peppers to becoming a souffle loaded with blood and who know what else!

I agree, I am ready to see this whole Maryanne thing go away. It doesn't seem to be really going anywhere, it's just the same thing each week.

I have a question from last week's episode. When Detective Belfleur showed up at the orgy, why wasn't he affected by Maryann? Since we know supernaturals aren't affected, an that mean he has some supernatural ability that we don't yet know about?

I was wondering the same thing about the alcohol, but wasn't everyone drinking alcohol at her parties? Or were they all just smoking Maryanne's "special" marijuana as Eggs & Tara have discussed after blacking out?

Did I miss this part? What "talk" did they have? Please fill me in cuz I think I'm having a brain fart!

I think the poster was referring to Erik and Jason having a talk. Loved how Erik was messing with him, and how Jason was like, "Uh, yes... I mean no" when Erik asked if he was going to do any more V.

Also LOVED the awkward man-hug between Jason and Bill. Poor Bill looked like he'd rather be doing anything else than having a heart-to-heart with his girlfriend's brother.

Erik is yummy when he is more lighthearted and smiling! OK, he's yummy when he's brooding, too... :worship:

ITA!!!!

I guess they are taking a bit from an Anne Rice version of a vamp.

With Anne Rice as they age/sleep they get stronger, get more vamp skills and their body changes with adding a stone-quality which makes the blood requirement less.

So I am guessing they are using the fact Godric is so old his need is less.

I missed that. I haven't gotten to watch the episodes more than 1X yet. I watched them back to back last night since I was away last week. I really wish hotels would supply HBO. What did they say?

That was last week's episode when Bill was hold up with his maker and teen vamp was with her BF.

They get sick/weak if they do not sleep at night. Bill was having nosebleeds and feeling sick.

OK, wow what a great show. I KNEW Sam was going to get busted somehow.

So, how is Tara and Eggs going to get rescued? Looks like she is trying to kill them!

I do somewhat agree with you...although i really do enjoy True Blood and do watch every week..i do wish they stuck to the storyline of the books a bit more. Now i kinda like that i don' know what to expect each week, but they have changed so much already that so many important (think Lorena) storylines can not happen now. The storyline with Lorena in the book was such a surprise..that is what changed Sookies life.
I do like Jesscia, i didn't at first..but she has gown on me
So happy they kept Lafeyette around..he's so damn funny
Tara and Eggs..still not my fav
Maryann..enough already
I am happy that Jason is now done with the FOTS..and i guess he took Luna's spot from the book to kind of save Sookie.
I am really upset that we haven't seen Eric in the pink spandex...lol

Sam was in jail in last week's previews.

I think Lafayette is going to save Tara. He's had V in his blood from Eric. Might still be nipping at some of the V, so that may make him more immune to MaryAnn.

Also, there's Sookie. She should be heading back home now that the FOL stuff is going to be over after next week. Since she's supernatural, she may be immune to MaryAnn.

Sorry Tammy- I DID mean Jason and Eric :headache: Thanks MomofKatie for clarifying that;)

I wondered about this, too. I don't know that it would be the alcohol because maenads are goddesses of wine. I wonder if keeping Andy in a state where he knows things but no one believes him is what Maryanne is after.

Thanks. I saw that, but I thought I missed something specifically being said about a vampire's sleeping arrangements. I still wonder why they don't all want to sleep above ground, or at least in more comfortable arrangements than in a hidey hole or dirt pit.

Oh! Yes they didn't say anything about that however as in most vamp lore, it is for safety, because they are "dead asleep".

How about "Moonlight"? They slept in a deep freezer.:lmao:

Hopefully the whole Maryanne storyline will finish up soon as well.

:thumbsup2 Me, too. I'm soooo ready for the whole Maryann thing to be done with.

Agree. The direction of the show has really effected the book series.

Eric in pink spandex.......:cloud9:
