Hi...

Thought I would chime in here as I am one of the many addicted to this program. I did not realize you all were talking here as well.

I am reading the books and am on book 3....I like that the series is somewhat different from the books.. Tara is hardly mentioned in the books and I do love her character and Lafayette, well I will not share what is in the books, but I think he is hysterical. He reminds of a young Flip Wilson doing Geraldine...too funny.

I am so glad that in real live life Sookie and Bill are together, one hopes that it continues as it sure makes good sizzle for the camera. I cannot believe that Amy chick killed Phil....grrrr and not sure if anyone else feels this way, but Jason drives me nuts.

Here's to whatever is left for the season and so glad they were picked up for next season....just hope we do not have a long hiatus like with Lost......oh please, oh please.

Pam wasn't trying to glamour Sookie. She was trying to hit on her. Pam prefers female companionship.

Darn it! I wanted Tara to be nice for longer than 3 minutes, though I enjoyed the part in the pharmacy.

How are they going to ruin the show with Bill's newly turned spawn? UGH! Won't she have to live with someone (i.e. Bill) to learn the ropes of vampiredom?

I don't remember Sookie being so mad at Sam in the books about being a shifter. I thought she was more sympathetic and interested that there were paranormal people other than just vampires.

I was happy that Hoyt finally grew a pair with his mother. He was always shy in the books and was always with Jason, but he wasn't henpecked by his mother.

I think Rene's accent is absolutely horrible. Other people from LA have complained that it isn't authentic, too.

I loved last week when Bill was playing Wii Golf. It reminded me I have to pick up a copy of that for my DS for Christmas so Mommy and Daddy can play it, too. It's the only way I can beat my DH at golf.

I think Pam is going to have a new "playmate" in Bill's victim- did you see Pam almost licking her chops when they took her out of the trunk. She is very pretty. Maybe she will live with Pam.

Sookie is annoying me with her 'tude. Get over it about Sam not telling you HE WAS A DOG! How do you just come out and tell someone that I know Sookie is the main character. but she reminds me of Ally McBeal- do you remember her, it was all about "me, me, me" Sookie seemed fine on the porch when she was asking Sam about werewolves etc- and then she turned on a dime!

I honestly think they need subtitles for Rene when he talks- it is horrible trying to figure out what the heck he is saying. Does anyone watch Wife Swap? A few weeks ago they had a family from LA and the husband spoke so badly- they had to use subtitles when he was speaking- that is what Rene sounds like.

I thought it was hilarious last week when Bill was playing golf- I love those little funnies thrown in here and there.

I was just about to give up on this show until last week. I really enjoyed the episode. And my wife was saying all along that "something" was up with Sam.

I am glad that I am watching the TV show as opposed to reading the books... I sat in Border's one day and read a little. I thought it was terrible.

Yeah, the books are written pretty badly. But they're entertaining! I just finished the 3rd one. I love how the show has taken on a life of its own and goes so much more in depth than the books do.

Question- when Sookie was in trouble last night being chased by the "killer" (I am assuming that is who it was) why didn't Bill feel she needed help???? I thought he was in tune with her.

I wonder if he was "out of range", b/c he was too far away to feel it. In the books when she goes through that, he doesn't rush home either. I always wondered that too.

I'm a true "True Blood" fan!!! I love the show! Only two episodes left, what are we gonna do? Knowing HBO, we will have to go a whole year for a new season, this will be hard to do!

Probably for the same reason that things happen on Desparate Housewives that are left for us never to recall that they originally happened... for the same reason Sookie can drink vamp blood without getting high and Jason can't.

I think Eric was grandstanding for effect when he said that the vampires know what people do. If he truly knows everything, he would have known that the blond girl knew that Longshadow was stealing from him. I think they only know when they glamour someone.

Amy's character is only on TV. It'll be interesting to see how that turns out, too. I can't wait to see how it all comes out in the end about who the real killer is. I know who it was in the book and hopefully they'll stay true to that. I just want to see how the revelation is shot (I mean filmed).

I got confused because the Amy character is not in the book this way, just the name , and she gets killed,
wonder if the killer in the book will be the killer on the show.
I think the 1st book is good, and I wish they could have stayed a little closer to it. I didn't like what Bill had to do,I felt bad for him and the girl.

I have another question- sorry, my brain runs on overtime!

When the girl was begging for her life- did she know they were all vampires and that she would be bitten- or did she not know who they were and thought they were just going to kill her???

I was wondering that, too. At times, she seemed to know and at others she didn't. I thought at first she thought Bill wasn't a vampire and could maybe help her, but then I wasn't so sure.

They just stumped us all on that one- I guess there is no real way of knowing it from watching the show.

But you are a big help about many other things!!!!

About the girl that Bill bit, if she was not a lesbian in this life- I wonder if she can be one now ....with Pam. BUT, better yet, maybe Bill will take her in (out of pity) but something may blossom since Sookie is going to reject Bill. And then of course, Sookie will end up being jealous.
