"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

How about AMBIVALENT Amy?

:lmao: I'm still trying to get used to being called Good Amy.

Spoiler about Bill's descendants for those who are interested. Highlight to read if you're so inclined:

The Bellefleurs are Bill's descendants. Andy also has a snotty sister and a haughty but poor grandmother in the books and they all end up benefitting from the connection although they don't know it's Bill much to Sookie's irritation.

The first book didn't mention the descendant connection. But I did kind of get the idea that would be it from a few bits of foreshadowing in the show. Like Bill's reaction when he heard that name.

I went ahead and downloaded the first book from iTunes.;) It's not the same as reading it, but considering how much windshield time I have a week I'll finish it quicker this way. Thankfully it's unabridged!:thumbsup2

Okay, I've been dying to ask this since Bill & Sookie have been doing the horizontal mambo. Can humans have babies with vampires?

Hmmm- interesting- but please, do not give an answer I have to highlight:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I need to know too!:rotfl2:

No, and they can't transfer diseases either. That's why no protection was necessary in the cemetery.

Okay, I get that no protection was necessary for certain things, but what about all the dirt going in the wrong places and did she not have any undergarments on? or maybe I missed that step.

:lmao: Boy- you notice the details, don't you:thumbsup2 That was the last thing on my mind!
It was explained in the books.

That was my initial thought about all that dirt. I like the suggestion someone made that Bill could have been gone, showered, and back in 5 seconds. Oh, and undergarments can be moved or torn off. They're not made of lead. :thumbsup2

Finally I am caught up! My family was here so I was about 3 episodes behind.
Doeas anyone know why he was naked underground? Did he just decide, "Hey I'm going to get away. Wow! These clothes are just so bothersome. Hey, it's getting light, I better get underground even though my house is only 2 seconds away...naked"

I just saw it again. Right before Sookie went to the cemetary to lay the flowers, it rained and she sat on the porch.

I'm guessing, that after a hundred years, he can tell when it's going to rain and that it has ruined his clothes before.

In terms of the writing, (it is HBO,) they probably thought it would be sexier with him without his clothes. They probably diodn't count on the dirt being so damp & sticky.

I can't figure out where he would have put his clothes. Are they still underground? Why would he take them off there? He slept in his clothes in the hidey-hole that he had in his house, so why not in the ground, too? I agree with Imzadi. It doesn't make sense, but it is HBO and they have a history of liking to show men's backsides, so that's probably the reason.

I was watching the episodes last night during the marathon in between watching our HS team get beaten by the other undefeated team. We were #1 and they were #2. Today things are different. But, I digress. The point I'm going to make is that Bill was much colder in the opening episodes. He started warming up not only to Sookie but to the others as the series has gone on. I hadn't noticed it before until I watched the first couple episodes again.

.

I forgot about the rain! But I did comment to DH about it during the show- it WAS pouring rain and storming one minute and the next she is running outside in her nightgown and the weather was fine!:confused3

Maybe it's like FL rains. You get hit by that "rain wall" where it's pouring and then just as soon as it comes, it's totally gone again.

The lyrics to this song sounds like our dear Bill!:scratchin

Suspended In Dusk

"Da*n me Father, for I must sin..."
Four centuries of this damned immortality
Yet, I did not ask to be made. Why?
I will never again feel your sun upon my face
Or the comfort of a grave
I am not alive and I am not dead
This is Hell on earth
How can I possibly explain this eternal youth?
When I can do nothing, but sit by
As my loves grow old and wither
And with each of them, take a fragment of my heart
And prolong this endless winter
It is October's perpetual agony
It is the shadow realm
Father, please forgive him
For he knows not what to do
With every victim I pray for my own death
And as much as I love the night
I curse the moon's eerie glow
Tis bloodlust that drags me to forever
The toxic rays of dawn that condemn me to limbo
I am forced to dwell in grey Autumnal twilight
I am suspended in dusk
Father, please forgive him
For he knows not what to do
Father, please forgive him
For he knows not what to do

I knew Sam was that dog. I just KNEW IT. Jason is in waaaay over his head.

UGH! I SO wished they'd stayed closer to the book last night. For all of you who haven't read the book, the surprise security guard was supposed to be Elvis... not Sam. According to the books, when Elvis was thought to be dead, he was still in a comatose state when he was in the morgue. The morgue worker was a vampire and he turned Elvis into one, too. Only Elvis goes by Bubba now and doesn't want people to speak his human name. He is a little slow because of all of the drugs/alcohol that were in his system when he was turned. That screwed things up a bit. Elvis/Bubba likes making meals of cats instead of humans. He's a very placid vampire who will become as violent as the others if someone crosses what he's supposed to protect.

Bubba shows up periodically within the books when different things are going on. I wonder if Graceland wouldn't give HBO the rights to use Elvis' likeness in this show and that's why they wrote him out of it. It is explained that vampire Bubba is the cause of all of the Elvis sightings after his death. I thought it was great comic relief in the books.

The whole scene with Sookie naming that dog, Dean, and having Dean sleep in her bed and her learning Sam's secret isn't affiliated with Bill's departure in this way, but comes later.

Tara needs to take Sam's money so she can go to the voodoo woman. She's already starting to believe in it and then maybe she'll become the likable Tara from the books instead of the hell on wheels Tara on HBO.

Were you watching the same episode we were?
What surprise security guard? You mean Chow? You said Sam. So did you mean the dog who turned into a surprise security guard a.k.a. Sam?
