"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I agree with you. I guess the thing that really sceeves me is why is he SO dirty? He looked like someone coming out of a mine instead of someone coming out of the dirt. Wouldn't the dirt be moist and brush off of him? I guess parts would be dirtier than others, but he was dirty all over. It's not like he was a child playing in the dirt. Vamps are supposed to sleep motionless. So why all that grime?

But, I guess that it's the same thing as with Sookie not being affected by Bill's blood and Jason being massively affected by V. We're not supposed to question it.

What I want to know is: How does a vampire cover the dirt over himself so the ground does not look like it's been moved? :confused3

As for Sookie not being affected by Bill's blood, I thought that was because she had lost so much blood that his blood saved her. It was bringing her back to normal, instead of over-affecting her, the way it does Jason. She doesn't drink his blood every time they do it, right? Bill is the one taking love bites out of her.

The concept of getting into the ground didn't bug me so much. In Dracula, the vampires would turn into a mist and could get into their crypts even when they were sealed with lead. I guess I just figured getting into the ground was a given.

I don't understand why he was naked either, unless he did get into the ground as a mist, though Bram Stoker's vampires always were able to do that with their clothing remaining intact.

I'm ready to start overanalyzing this. (Like I haven't already started.) How long would it take for worms and such to attack a body that is lying motionless underground? Bill didn't seem to be the worse for wear other than being dirty beyond belief.

At least in the first book, V was barely mentioned. So there was no dilemma over whether Sookie would be a V-addict or not after drinking his blood. In the book, she drank from Bill before going to the bar because she was weak from him feeding off of her. Plus, it gave her a boost in her telepathy. But I guess now with Jason being a V-addict, they can't have her drinking from Bill all the time with no problem while others go all nuts and kidnap the poor guy from Office Space.

The previews of this weeks show told me Bill was still alive -- they showed the hand grabbing her ankle in the cemetery.

I, too, wondered just how come he was naked (not that I'm complaining that much, you know ...) Seems he would have taken his clothes with him unless it was one heckuva vampire party he'd been at ....

:lmao: Thank you! I'd been trying to figure out where I knew that guy from. I wonder if his red stapler was around there somewhere!

I was a little discombobulated when I realized that the guy playing Terry was Zack on the Gilmore Girls--I couldn't figure out why he sounded so familiar.

I'm very new to the vampire genre. There's a lot of back story I'll be needing you gals to fill me in on. :teacher: It's kind of like jumping into Book 5 of Harry Potter. :)

I think worms only attack decaying bodies. I assume Bill doesn't give off much odor, being semi-dead.

As for being naked, (I'm not complaining, :teeth: ) maybe he was expecting rain the night before and didn't want to mess his clothes? :scratchin He was covered in a kind of moist dirt.

But it seemed strange to me that he seemed to need Sookie's leg to pull him out of the ground. It wasn't like he could ust sit up and say, "Hey! Wait for me!" :wave2:

Good Amy, you and I were in the same boat. I knew that the vampire was familiar, but I couldn't place him. Office Space, of course!

:lmao: I could do one better. How about Anne Rice where the vamps lay under the ground for 100's of years?

Anyway, they are dead so no rotting flesh and hence no bugs if you want to get technical.;)

Wow that was an episode. So what is the deal with Mr. Head Vamp? Now he is cute and I wouldn't mind another episode that includes him because Bill just doesn't do it for me.

And AMY! They made her so nice to like and then BAM...what a monster!
We thought Jason was bad. She really found some suckers, I guess.

I wasn't able to find full episodes of the earlier shows, only a 5 minutes synopsis. But, you did give me the idea to hunt online to see if I could find them. I did find a site that had the first episode with Chinese subtitles. It is so funny to see American swearing subtitled with Chinese characters. :rotfl:

Anyway, it must have been the original pilot episode, before a final version aired on HBO because they have a different Tara. She must have been replaced for the series. It was like watching an alternate reality. This Tara was prissier. She doesn't have the heavy, screwed up quality & complexities that the current Tara has.

BUT: the real interesting part of this older version is that they showed some extra footage not in the final HBO show. It was during the scene where Sookie saves Bill from the Rattrays. I saw the HBO clip first on Youtube the night before, so I was able to see the differences.

There are clips of a person in the woods watching the whole thing as Sookie is about to hit Mack with the chain. When Bill looks off to the side, he not only sees Sookie sneaking up, he sees this person. There is also a clip of the face of this person.

They show the person disappearing, and a little later, the DOG appears. Bill gives the dog a real interesting look when it first shows up. And of course, it licks Sookie for saving Bill. I'm sure this person IS THE DOG!

HBO cut it out of the final version as it gives too much away about the dog.

Also, at the end of the second episode, when Sookie is in the office with Sam, they clearly focus in, for a moment, on a large picture on the wall behind Sam, of that dog sitting in the grass with a small girl sleeping at his feet. :scratchin

Anyone who wants a link to see the episode, let me know. I don't think I can post it here because of the adult stuff in True Blood, with the swearing & Jason doing his usual stuff. :ssst:

OOh! I would love to see this! Can you send it to me?

thanks!

There is way more Eric in the later books. I'm hoping they keep including him. I am smitten. Bill doesn't do it for me, either.;)

Okay, I thought you were talking about me again. :lmao:

.

He was also Jimmy James on News Radio, - I liked him in that roll- I do not like him playing whimpy rolls, like this poor vampire but the dude in Office Space was hilarious, whimpy and pathetic, yet hilarious!

Then you'll be liking that Eric takes a more prominent role as the series continues. He'll be in more and more of the episodes.

Who's Mr. Head Vamp? :confused3

As for Amy, she's a poster child for the power of addiction and what it will make you do. :scared1:

I wonder if Lafayette will be blamed for the murdered vampire (if he's dead.)

I thought it was funny when Sookie & Bill are in the car in front of Fangtasia and she is putting down fang-bangers and Bill gives her a look like, "Honey, YOU are banging one too!" :rotfl:

With each new episode, I notice someone different too. Poor Office Space man!

And I finally figured out that Amy was Lindsey Lohan's friend from Mean Girls. That one took me the longest because she looked and sounded so different.

And on a side note, I had a problem with Bill being so dirty and him and Sookie going at it. He could have at least taken a speed shower and been back in about 5 seconds!

Did anyone hear Sookie tell Amy (BAD Amy:lmao: ) "my brother's a dog"...........

There was a short pause and she then went on to tell her what a dog as in "jerk" he was.

At first when she said that- I was thinking, heyyyyy- I don't think he is the dog-dog.

Yeah, I caught that and it made me perk up a little, like WTH?

Whenever my daughter sees him in anything (as much as she loves Office Space), she always says, "I know a man who'll pay you good money to sing into his can!" ( He was the blind radio man in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?")
