"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

But the ending of the latest book makes it seem like it is Sam.

OMG I didn't see what you wrote in white until I went to quote you just now. I thought you were saying she was going to end up with someone else (I just read the book tonight)

I really wish I had waited until the book was out in paperback to read it. That way there would be less time until the new book came out! The books aren't that great, but she definitely ends them with big cliffhangers!

I still feel like they're trying to cram in too many storylines. While I find Sookie kind of annoying sometimes, she's supposed to be the main character, and she's hardly been in this season at all!

I guess I find the Eric/Bill storyline most compelling. The rest I don't really care about at this point.

Did anyone else think tonight's episode was S.L.O.W??? Slow like when the DIS was so slow and we had to wait for pages to load to see what was on them, slow?

The characters talked so slowly, the action & storylines moved so slowly.

I agree, they need to get rid of some of these stories. Terry is nice, but I am just not interested in what happened to him. They need to get rid of the evangelist. Does Jason have a storyline that is going anywhere? :confused3

It's seems like the producers, in order to get this level of actors, had to promise starring roles to ALL the actors and that they'd have big roles, which means each one now has to have their own story. :headache:

Tonight's episode was B O R I N G. Too many storylines. They need to make some cuts. The only thing that saved it was Eric's quips.

I guess I am the strange one.

I liked this episode.

I DO HATE the Terry story line. I like when he and Arleine(sp?) were small characters with good one liners...

I actually find the Rev Newland thing hilarious! The way he danced into the house:rotfl:...I could see it getting really dumb though.

I find myself wanting more of the wolves this season! Martha is a very interesting character to me.

I'm mixed on the Tara thing so far.

I enjoy seeing the history of Pam.

I miss Eric and Bill not getting along. Some of the best dialogue has been them giving eachoher a hard time.

I actually opened my laptop last night and messed around on FB during TB which I never do because the episode was so boring.

I thought they would tie up Pam's background last night. When they started with the flashback, DH was like 'these are so pointless" and I was like "oh they will show her as a vampire by the end" (they didn't do that right? or did I miss it?)

Terry's storyline is stupid. Andy's storyline is stupid. Jason's is bordering on stupid. Sam's is kind of dumb.

Steve Newlin is funny.

I feel like they are skimming through everything because there is way too much!

There was no Alcide in that episode right?? If so, that needs to be fixed next week!

I love that "Patty" from My Name is Earl is on True Blood. Not sure I love her character but I love the actress. She was hysterical on Earl.

That's where she was from! :thumbsup2

I don't understand the need to eat your pack master. Doesn't make sense.

I have my snack ready(yes...I plan snacks for my T.V. nights:lmao:) and the kids are in bed so that they are asleep in time.

I do too. If I am watching 2 - 3 shows back to back, I have to have enough snacks at home, (or ready) or I won't get to eat for those 3 hours.

Then there are some shows where I have to eat before the show. When there is a True Death on True Blood, with the splat! of blood & guts everywhere, I kind of loose my appetite. :crazy2:

Let's hope tonight's episode was better than last week's.

We didn't even get a whole page of posts here last week. I don't think that has ever happened on this thread before. :surfweb: :(

Just not happy with the season so far. Bill and Eric's scenes were hard to follow. Tara's just plain stupid. I was hoping Pam didn't have a sexual past with Eric. I liked their dynamic before. Having Pam secretly in love with Eric is so formula. Jason and his teacher? blah, blah, blah

It seems like there is a contract between most of the actors that they each get X amount of air time. This makes the episodes seem so disjointed. They should spend more time on a certain storyline to actually have some progress. I couldn't believe it when Alcide said Debbie had been missing for 4 days! 4 days? Feels like weeks!

My biggest gripe...no Russell. Enough with the teasing already.

I am starting to think this show has lost it's mojo. :headache:

I agree its very disjointed. There is too much going on. What i liked about this book series is its Sookies life, her story and pov. The series is not even remotely like the book series anymore.
I know i probably gripe every season about this, but the show can still be its own thing but keep the spirit of the books.
This is so far off the only thing similar is the character name Sookie. Thats it.

I am wondering if the guy in the clothes store is a fairy? Claude maybe?

This episode would have benefited greatly from more Steve Newlin. Specifically if he were dancing again! In fact, I'd love to see him and Jessica square off over Jason every week. The show needs some comic relief.

I hate what they're doing with Tara. Her character's been tormented and brooding for five seasons now. She deserved a clean exit, but now that they went the vamp route, she's still tortured and suicidal? The only way I could appreciate this storyline would be if they'd made her vamp rebirth a sort of awakening and shot for her to reclaim some strength and power and finally feel fearless. She's just depressing.

Guardian Stabler talks way too much, and he's mostly just repeating himself. If he's this season's supervillain, he's off to a dreadfully boring start.

I covered my eyes and went "AHHH!" when they first showed Pam kissing Eric. That seemed so incestuous to me! Much more irksome than Eric and his "sister" Nora, because we've seen the relationship between Eric and Pam for so many years now. I did like her flashbacks though. More Pam is always preferable to more Sookie!

Impatient for Russell!

I agree. It's like the producers don't know they can hire actors for MINOR roles. :confused3 They've laid a soap opera format onto the show, where all the characters get equal time. That would work if the show aired 5 days a week. But, once a week and they've only got 12 weeks to do the whole season, it's too little of too much of everything.

I also noticed they showed more naked women in this one episode than they showed in an entire season. Like they think if they air all those women, it will distract from not showing Sookie's "girls."

I haven't read any of the books. But, from the first season, I always thought the show was supposed to be about Sookie & her POV. Yes, they have strayed a lot from that. :(

Makes me wonder if Anna Paquin's marriage to Stephen Moyer has anything to do with the new direction of the show. Last season people noticed her scenes with Eric weren't as hot as when she was with Bill. The one Bill & Eric "sandwich" scene with the 2 guys, she was basically facing & responding to Bill/Stephen. In addition to recently becoming pregnant, has she said no more love scenes with anyone other than Bill? So the producers have had to change the direction of the show?

Yeah, I was afraid of that when I heard Chris Meloni was cast. Last week he talked so slowly. I think he thinks he's being dramatic. No, he's just acting and talking s.l.o.w.l.y. :headache:

Okay, this I don't get. :confused3 In like Season 2, there was a scene where Eric & Pam had a sex orgy with a couple of other humans or vamps. I assumed they did stuff like that often. It was also mentioned in one season that Pam was a prostitute when Eric turned her, so I figured back then that they either had done it, or that Eric found her on the street & was going to eat her, then decided to turn her instead.

I don't usually mind the little sub-plots, but these are getting out of hand. One or two here and there with one of the other mains is fine. Terry and Arlene...Not so much.

I want to see more of the Sookie and Alcide dealing with the aftermath of Debbie and more vamp stuff.

I kind of liked that there are other stories with the other characters, but Sookie's storyline should still be the main.

It was definately a fairy...They played the fairy "music". I feel like if you didn't know much of the series you wouldn't have gotten that and it was shown for such a short time that when they elaborate on it, people will be confused.

I feel like it would boring if it were only about Sookie. I think that is why I got bored with the books. It was always the same. Sookie gets in trouble, BIll or Eric save her...

I don't think I like Christopher Maloni in this part. I really dislike the way he delivers his lines. I can't pinpoint why though.

I like that they showed this side of Pam and Eric. I don't think they are still IN love, but that they will always love eachother very much. Those things happenend YEARS ago and I feel like they are over that part of their relationship. (Except recreationally, like the orgy:rolleyes:)

***I don't know. I'm really torn on this season. I definately like it better than the last one with the witch stuff. I feel like that was just really poorly done.

Yeah I'm not a fan of this season.

They could at least give us some naked Alcide to make the show more entertaining :lmao:

I love Christopher Meloni, but his scenes last night dragged on and on.
