BTW, he was supposed to have been on Jay Leno last night. I haven't looked at what I taped yet so I don't know for sure.

I did!! He sang Run Around & played a bit of harmonica...dynamite performance
although thats all I found was the performance...no interview... I was wondering if I missed anything b/c what I taped was not an hour long and I thought Leno was on for an hour.. so please tell me it wasn't cut or something here and I missed something

That's all there was to it. I actually stayed awake. Now that he's a recording artist and not the "New AI Winner" there will be more music and less talking on his TV appearances. Just seems to be the way it works.

One thing I noticed: I think most of us saw him on the AI tour...doesn't he seem far more comfortable on a live stage than in front of cameras? I sometimes thing the crazy dancing is a little nerves.

Anyway....Nice to see y'all back on this thread!

I happen to LOVE his crazy dancing!!
When I hear his songs other than on TV I always wish I could see him too! He's as much fun to watch as he is too listen too. I always find myself grinning ear to ear ... like this

and yes, I agree he looked extremely comfortable

Thanks for the info. Yes, I've been listening to all the tunes that are available online. The Right Place is a VERY good number.

The original, performed by Bill Withers, was also amazing. I'm not going to get into comparing apples to oranges but my hope is that this type of music will encourage a whole new generation to perhaps reevaluate their music and their musicians.

BTW, I was actually swaying back and forth while I was listening to Taylor sing. The husband gave me a look over that! Like Calgon, it took me away!

I loved the original but I love this more!

My 18 year son was listening to Aerosmith the other day... while riding in my car and it is his opinion that there was a lot more music talent in the 70's & 80's than there is today. I think he may be right

But I will play this for him when he he wakes up

I swear I saw Taylor's clone today!

I took the kids to Friendly's for breakfast this morning. Seated in the back were four young (to me) guys in a booth. All 4 were wearing sweatshirts and baseball hats (all were the Patriots, our local football team who I think were/are playing today). This one guy REALLY resembled Taylor, even had grayish (very short) hair under his hat. I did a double-take when I saw him when we first walked in. (And I am embarassed to say that I had my 7 year old dd change seats with me so I could check to make sure it wasn't Taylor. )

I was finally able to hear him talk and he talked like he was from around here (Bawston area) and didn't have a southern drawl. He also wasn't as tall as Taylor. Shucks.

It was funny tho and I wonder if anyone else has pointed out to him how much he resembles Taylor..

ITA! I was also over there this morning and, WOW, there are some really good songs on that CD. And that's coming from someone who is hyper critical of most of the new material that's out today.

I had a feeling Taylor was going to get it right when I heard he was asking for more studio time. This very well may be the best Idol CD to be produced yet.

Did you guys see him on GMA this morning? Specifically the interview? I felt sorry for him... apparantly he was misquoted or misinterpreted or something and you could tell he kind of felt bad. No biggie...he's just so dang cute.

I'm still streaming here. I keep telling myself that I should turn it off so I don't get tired of it, but I just can't!!

Oh and Robin....yay, when did you get speakers? I was worried you wouldn't be able to listen.
