Happy ThursTAY everyone!! I hope you don't get offended, ckay, but I skipped over your post of the AI review! LOL (Must...not....look!) hahaha!

So apparently the Jay Leno birth certificate I created and sent to clpc to send to Jay is creating controversy on the AI boards. *Sigh* Whatever. Just goes to show you cannot please everyone. I posted on there that I apologized if I offended anyone.

On a happier note....

I FINALLY HEARD DIMYP ON THE RADIO!!

I was just getting into the shower in the gym and it was playing on the system. I heard the opening chords of the piano and SCREAMED! I nearly ran out naked into the gym, I was so excited!! The lady in the shower next to me asked if I was all right and I said "oh boy, AM I?!?!" haha! Then I began to (badly) sing along very loudly.

You couldn't wipe the smile off my face the rest of the day!!

Oh I'm not offended - I was scared that I offended you! But can't I just tell you that Taylor Hicks laughed at me! Oh I'm just so proud - he knows what an insane freak I am.

And your gym story cracked me up. You've trumped me on the insanity bit!!!

I had a great time tonight. So glad that I decided to go.
But man, I will NEVER eat two hot dogs before a concert ever again. I was doubled over in pain for most of the first half. Before teh show and during intermission, they have a number where you can text messages to put on the screens. I sent in "the hot dogs gave me gas! Sorry!" But they didn't put it up hehe. The first aid people gave me some antacids during intermission and I was back to normal for Taylor!

Don't let the Chris fans fool you. Yes, his fans squeel every time they see him, but Taylor definitely got the largest response when he came out.

The people in front of me sat on their blackberry's the whole night surfing the net. I don't know why they came. They brought their daughter but she seemed to sleep half of the time or play games on the blackberry. It was distracting.

As soon as Jailhouse Rock started I leaped to my feet and the woman next to me said "I just knew you were a Taylor fan" and we grabbed hands and squeeled. hehe. Funt to feel like a teenager again.


I took some video and a few photos. I'll try and get some more tomorrow and hopefully they will come out better.

I have to say Elliot grows on me more and more. I think I barely noticed him until the final 4. He's really good though. Both he and Chris seem much shorter in person. I hate to say it but I didn't miss Kat at all. I think she and Kellie are the only ones in the top 10 I could do without. And Kellie just looked awful. She needs a new makeup artist.

I've always liked Elliott, he was my second voice favorite. Ace was my other fave, then Paris and Mandisa. All the others can just about sing to themselves for me... can you say "bathroom break"???

Oh I love that. I took a video of her monologue (because I thought she might have a doozie like that) - I'll have to re-watch it.

For us, she described how they were presented with a 5 pound Hershey Bar (our show was in Hershey PA) and she said "I can't wait to get backstage and finish it." Ummm, not if you want to fit into that corsett tomorrow honey. For the record, a 5 lb Hershey bar is about 2 feet x 1 foot or so.

Not to hijack the thread, but I am starting to enjoy her banter more now that I'm not forced to listen to it weekly.

When I saw Barenaked Ladies in Hershey a couple of years ago, we waited by the buses after the show to see them. Steve, the lead singer had that huge Hershey bar and was having the fans break off pieces. I think there was still a pound or two left when he got to me. He handed it to me and told me to keep it. Took me forever to eat that thing!

Oh yeah, Taylor was wearing snakeskin boots last night. Hopefully I can get some better videos tonight. I cleared out my whole memory card. I didn't have much room last night. I also have to remember to pack some water bottle caps. I hate when they take them off. It's a racket. They just want you to spill it so that you'll buy more.

Tonight's show was 100x's better than last nights! The crowd was much better. Taylor seemed to smile more. And I was so close! It was awesome!

Alright - not to get y'all riled up, but I know it's gonna happen. Ok, I've admitted that I don't mind hearing Kellie Pickler talk, but what's this about a record deal, CD releasing 11/14??? (where's that vomiting smilie when you need it?) I suppose with a ton of studio production she'll end up sounding okay, but anyone who has seen her on stage will agree that she is b-o-r-i-n-g!

But that's just my opinion. Here's what's getting to me now....Record deals from this season alone will be for: Daughtry (that's okay), Yamin, Bennett, McPhee, Pickler, who am I forgetting...Ace I think, there's more. Probably just a matter of time before Kevin Covias is in MTV, huh?

Please fellow soul-patrollers remind me, what's the friggin point in winning? Wasn't there some kind of perk in the past of at least having the winner's CD release well in advance of the others'?

I guess I shouldn't care because time will tell who endures (though WE know NOW) and I'll be happy to have my Tay in any way, shape, or form. And maybe I should accept that his time in the winner's circle is just about done. Sigh.

He doesn't seem like one to hog this limelight and seems to want to "spread the wealth" around, so to speak. I think Taylor recognizes the struggle each of the contestants has gone through to get where they are (some more than others, yes) and he wants to see them all suceed as artists.

I don't think this is going to have any impact on him in a negative manner. I am seeing the big picture here in terms of him collaborating with the other artists (I personally would love to see Chris sing with Taylor and LiMBO someday - I think that would totally kick butt!). I know I will probably buy an Elliot CD when it's released, but not really any of the others as they held no real impact on me enough to spend my money on them.

This season had such a diverse crowd that AI is simply monopolizing on it, as any company would. They see $$ when they look at the different fan bases out there and the cross-marketing of these artists. I don't blame them. Heck, if I could've been a fly on the wall when they had this idea about bringing American Idol over to the U.S. - I would be posting this on my million dollar High Def million gigabyte super computer in my mansion in Paris! Taylor even said he's going to take his time on his album b/c nothing is going to be on it of which he does not approve. Let the others release their albums first! Good things come to those who wait. The Soul Patrol will be waiting, even stronger and in more numbers than they are now and he will have HUGE sucess more than any of the others. His album will be full of all the heart and soul we've grown to love him for. Not to put any other AI contestants down, but 90% of their albums will be "fluff." I don't want "fluff."

Man, I'd like to be a bug on the wall in that bus with all of these announcements coming out about record deals.... should be INteresting!!!

BTW, it is a major plus to have won considering how they compensate on the tour. Each person is paid depending on when they were eliminated. Lisa, $1,000 a show, Taylor, $10,000 a show. Add on the residuals from the Ford commls ALONE, the record deal etc... boyfriend has come full circle since his $50 a night gigs in his minivan!!
