Did anyone watch his show before it went all crazy? It was actually a normal talk show, and I really like him. He seems like a sweet man.

My mom said he used to be some sort of politician before his tv show, she liked him then. Said he was very popular. I don't remember him being a politician, but I guess stranger things could happen.

I agree with the OP that it seems more like a popularity contest. Vivica was an excellent dancer, but she was a Diva and didn't come off as very likeable.
I'm pulling for Mario or Willa. Those two can dance!

I wondered with you as well. I googled and, found it to be true: "His daughter Katie - who was born legally blind -" Of course, this has many meanings/definitions of severity. She may have seen someone coming near her but, can't make it out necessarily. Please don't flame me, I'm just saying that legally blind and 100% totally blind ARE different. She can maybe see something but, she can't drive a car, etc. Also, in what I read, she was born deaf in 1 ear and without nasal passages. She needed surgery to create nasal passages! He is much more than I ever thought of him before now. And yet I still feel bad for saying he should be gone - soon. I'm sure he'll be outstanding at her wedding in December tho!

Yes, legally blind and totally blind are two completely differnt things. I have a good friend who is legally blind, he can't drive a car, but he can drive a boat. He has a regular job. Katie probably knew what dad was wearing, also he has light colored hair and glasses, she could have determined these details so she knew it was him walking towards her and not Tom Bergeron!

He is pretty stiff, feel like Harry should still be around instead of him. Sara should have gone.

Viveca was one of my faves, I am sorry to see her go, but understand why others don't care for her.

I have yet to see Emmit dance, I hope to see him next week!

There is always a rumor about the teams being couples. It helps the publicity and the ratings. I'll believe it when I see it after the show is over.

His first (and only?) run for Senate was in 1970; he was unsuccessful. He then became a Councilman in Cincinatti but lost his seat after a term or two when it was discovered he used the services of a protitute. I know he got that seat back and sometime in the late 70's, he was appointed the mayor of Cincinnatti. He ran for govenor in the early 80's, but didn't get past the nomination. I guess that whole prostitute thing might have put a nosh on that.

I was glad to see Vivaca go after her smug interview with Samantha Harris.

Samantha asked her if she was worried about getting the boot and she said "No, we got solid 8's from the judges and we both have a large fan base so I am not worried". Ha. Shows you exactly what kind of a fan base she has, the kind that doesn't vote!!

Next week I would like to see Sarah or Jerry go. Mario, however, can stay as long as he likes.

I agree with you, Mary. I think of his 'talk-show' as an act now tho. You can't 'act' being a father and, he seems to have THAT downpat. His dancing is still not the best tho.

Okay, I am alittle late in posting this but I think the result show on Thursday was just plain wrong. I am sorry but the wrong people were in the bottom two. I will admit I didn't vote. I was a bad boy doing tons of other important things but I couldn't believe it.

I guess I better consider voting for now one.

I had to leave to work so I missed the final results of DWTS. I missed the performance's yesterday and was floored that both Jerry and Sara are both still in it. I hope they are next to go. I left because I was sure Monique was gone and she is my favorite girl! I was walking out the door and saw she was in the final two and was ready to scream!! I'm so glad she is still in it. She is an awesome dancer and at least should be in the top 3.

I agree. I'd actually like to see Sara go before Jerry. At least Jerry puts on a performance. Sara is just boring. She's not a very good dancer nor does she entertain. Thursday's show was just wrong in so many ways!
