The Official Riviera Owners & Info Thread

Hope everyone is having an awesome holiday weekend! Super excited to be brand new RIV owners and just wanted to say, as I'm combing through this thread, that it makes me extremely reassured that we made an awesome decision :D
Congrats & Welcome Home! I love it there.

If anyone is looking for a little Riviera in their lives, I’ve just discovered that Mrs. Meyers hand soap in the Rain Water scent smells exactly like the lobby. It’s amazing I’m gonna need the air freshener if they have it.
Thank you for the heads-up! We were just there for the day on Friday and my husband commented on how he wished our house could smell like Riviera bc it always smells so good. After I saw your post I went on the Target app and realized they also have a room freshener spray. We've been spraying the house all weekend so we can feel like we're there!! :cool1:

Omg that’s awesome! Does the room freshener smell just like it, too?! I was hoping it wasn’t just me! Tbh I was going by memory since I haven’t been there since January but I got such a wave of nostalgia when I was washing my hands I figured it had to be pretty close lol I’m gonna pick some up this week! Haha

It really does! Both our 6 and 10 year-old even commented on how it smelled like Riviera. We made a candle at Basin White earlier in the year and one of the scents was similar to Riviera. We were so disappointed when we burned it and could barely smell it. The Mrs. Meyer's is so much better and the scent lasts. If you really want to get crazy they have a whole bunch of products in the same rain water scent from cleaning spray, laundry detergent, hand lotion, body soap, to candles and more. You really could have the whole house smelling like you were on vacation at Riviera!! I have a feeling we're getting ready to see an increase in sales on the rain water scented products :rotfl2:

Oh man maybe I should have gate kept it a little longer until got my hands on some of it lol Just a bunch of us Riviera loving freaks buying out all the stock of a single scented product 😅 So glad this worked out! The laundry detergent is also appealing wonder how well that works now, too.

This is probably a stupid question, but what is the best way to get from RIV to the Boardwalk?

I don't think you can walk directly (or can you?), or can you take the Skyliner to Epcot and then walk?

Thanks.

Skyliner to Epcot and walk on over.

New(ish), bought last year, Riviera owner here. Our first stay is in Sept. Any tips /advice for us :)

P.S. We're staying in a studio!
If you don't have mobility issues and rope drop Hollywood Studios walk to the Caribbean Beach Skyliner station before the skyliner opens. No transfer and you'll be one of the first at HS entrance. Plus the morning walk through CB along the lake is beautiful.

Primo Piatto has some good grub. I love the Croque Monsieur. For some reason they don't stock Dejon mustard on property so I had to pick up some when I visited last. It's very good with Dejon if you like mustard....

I originally thought we would prefer to stay on the east side of the resort closer to the pool and food. Staying on the Skyliner side makes it really east to run down some stairs and hop on the Skyliner to the parks.

Good tip about bringing djon mustard!

Random question about the murphy bed wall art. Is it the studios that have 101 Dalmatians and the 1 bedrooms which have Peter Pan? Or is there some other arrangement? I love the Peter Pan art scene. 😍

I think all the rooms have the peter pan mural behind the murphy bed. I haven't noticed 101 dalmatian art at Riviera.
