We are staying at the Poly for the first time in May and we are very excited. :cool1: We booked a standard room and would like to request a building close to GCH but not sure which would be the best to request. Do all of the buildings have the new room layout? If not, which ones do? I have tons of questions but I'll save those for another time. ;)

Thanks in advance!

can someone tell me the best time and way to put in a room request?

We typically send a confirmation fax to the hotel 2 or 3 days before arriving. When doing this I would suggest a polite request (of a room, floor or building) at that time, but realize the more specific you get, naturally the harder it may be.

We have found the Poly makes all possible accomidations they can, but no promises...that would be very difficult.

Just booked Poly for the first time. April 2006! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited. Just wanted to subscribe!!!!

Either Rarotonga or Aotearoa, both have good views of the monorail and are close to the GCH/ Volcano Pool. Make sure you request a monorail view (and of course realize your request may or may not be granted).

Raratonga is my favorite for a monorail view. Request 3rd floor Raratonga facing the monorail and you will be very happy. That is my second favorite view at the Poly. The building is also right next door to the GCH and a super short walk to the volcano pool

Hello, Our family is going to stay at the Poly this October. We are very excited because we usually stay at WL but the Poly looks beautiful.

You will love the Polynesian. We are going in October also. It is probably our favorite time to go. Having stayed at the WL once, I can honestly say that the Poly is much better. My family agrees.

I am so excited to stay here I can't wait!! Never been and am going with a GF snob(I am hoping to get a new room the plasma would blow him away!lol) I only requested Lagoon View. For some reason- I never have made specific room requests. Will I suffer if I don't do it at the POLY?

I haven't booked yet but we are going October 1st-12. We will definetly be staying at the Poly. The Poly rooms are much bigger then the WL and really noticeable. My DD will be missing 7 days of school.

Count me in the October Poly club! Can't wait. Our first trip to the Polynesian was last Spring...a secret trip to "Florida" without the kids. SOOOOOOOOOO fun!!

We're letting the kids come with us this year in Oct.

Hello! We're staying at the Polynesian (and Caribbean Beach) in October, 2 kids ages 5 and 7, dh and myself. I'm wondering about a few things for the kids to do so dh and I can have a dinner or two together.

Neverland Club- we can leave the kids there, right? I think I read we can go there and stay with them at no cost. What is the cost if we leave them? Do they provide pagers or a way of staying on contact with us? We'll have dh's cell phone with if nothing else. Are the children divided up into age groups? Would you be comfortable leaving your children there for a few hours? How about the hours of operation?

Pirates Cruise- I was reading about a kid's Pirates Cruise that departed from the Grand Floridian, I think. I also just read about one departing from the Caribbean Beach? Does anyone know about either of these? Any experiences? Again, another opportunity for an adult dinner, etc.

Thanks!

My DS6 is doing the Pirates Cruise (at GF) later this month. It's in the AM so you could go to breakfast, not dinner! I'll try to report when we return or PM me.

the cost is $10 per hour per child, they must be 4 or 5, and I believe you can come in w/ them up until 4:00p.m. for free. My childeren loved it! They stayed there while my husband and I ate at 'Ohana.

a trip for 12/3-12/9 with a Garden View through AAA. I am going to call Disney and make request on a room. Which longhouse has the best Garden View Rooms?
