***The Official October 2016 Thread***

Star Wars fireworks time (and other shows too) are now up until October 1st... It's so hard to plan without all the info :(
I guess we will have to make a special trip To HS JUST for the Star Wars fireworks

There's no way we can watch the show at 7:45 and make it to Fantasmic by 8pm

FEA: for the start of our trip, first day in parks on the 12th, nope. FEA FP were just gone. However, on Monday the 17th? Sure thing!
7DMT: didn't have a problem with this one at all. Good morning availability.

FYI, I will give you a heads up that Dinosaur is a surprise "hard to get" for the 17th. No FP on the 17th at all and had to move our plan for AK to Tuesday instead to get the FP.

Not sure if this is the cause - but I think Dinosaur is down for a refurb from late July to Late September

Just booked a last minute Oct trip to hold me over until our May trip!

Just me and my 3 year old son, staying in a Pirate room at CBR doing Pirates and Pals cruise and MNSSHP. I have a Wendy costume and my son has Peter Pan and a Pirate costume, so not sure which he'll wear.
I'm so excited!!!
Also doing Ohana breakfast before driving home.

Yeah FEA was gone on the 13th so I guess we'll do the dreaded RD. Not ideal but we'll make it work. All FP+ times for the 18th were there but going quickly. We got an 8pm one for that day because that is how we planned it. 7DMT on the 14th only has 3pm+ but saw a 12:30 pop up and grabbed it. Have to redo entire plan for that day around it but shouldn't be too hard.

Our Epcot day is our 2nd day so our FEA FP is at like 6 pm, I think. We may rope drop too and just ride it twice.

I'm starting to get really excited!!

I am crossing fingers that FEA will still be there when my fast pass opens next week for our 17 Oct trip....

FP update for those asking, after doing mine today...

My Epcot day is #2, the earliest FEA time available for a party of 4 was 2:10. Days #1 and #3 are both party days. I had my pick of SDMT on day 3, but there were only 2 times still available on day #1 (luckily both after 4 pm, as we are attending the party that night!).

Good luck evertone!!!

Also want to add, there have been reports on the FP thread of booking windows opening a day early, so tried it this morning, and mine was open at 7 am (my 60 day is tomorrow). Some think its happens in months with 31 days, and / or may also be tied to having an AP, or another onsite stay before the one you're booking for (which I have both), so may not work for everyone, but just a heads up if anyone wants to check!!

I am trolling my account and hoping it lets me make selections early....so far nothing but I will keep trying until the official open time on Wednesday!

I have an AP and did not get to make my selections a day early. Today was my 60 days and it did not open up until 7am. I was shut out of 7D (nothing open all day even for 1 person) but got everything else we wanted at the times we wanted. I'll keep checking back for 7D. Wasn't going for Frozen so I can't help anyone out with that one. Good luck to those of you still waiting.

I don't know if you all saw this but it looks like RoL won't be happening in October.

Then again, maybe this guys doesn't know what he's talking about. *fingers crossed*
I don't think that I completely agree with what this article is saying. Everything closes earlier in the fall because it's a "slower" time of year. Plus it does get dark much earlier so they don't need to hold off on the shows until later at night...

IMO the article reads like it was written just as a puff piece because someone needed to report on Disney's stock price. It doesn't seem like he has any "insider" info, just facts known online already and a one-off encounter of his own. I wouldn't read too much into it personally.

YOU GUYS. I just happened to log in to MDE this morning and looked at my HS date and BOOM! there was a Sci-Fi dinner res just sitting there! So I grabbed it up, swapped my 50's PT res from dinner to lunch and now my HS day should be great!

Why does making dining reservations, months in advance, feel so good? :teeth:

Oh, and PS (I also posted on the cancel thread) I have a Sci-Fi on 10/27 @ 1:20pm for 5 if anyone would like to coordinate.

YAY!! It's such a great feeling to get that reservation you've been stalking.

I only read the first section, the writer obviously does not know that Disney has been slowly extending hours out and he is going by what is on the schedule the day he wrote the article. I honestly believe October will close at 9pm with or without ROL. November and December I can see an 8pm close.

Agree. Think they're trying to "create" a story based on the current posted park hours.....
