Just another quick post from me--I'm babysitting today and it's finally naptime, so I have a moment to breathe!

glt--come heck or high water I will make it to the PO today! Happy Bday Laine!!!

z--I'm sorry you are going through such a rough time right now. I hope the hospice can keep your dad comfortable. Come and talk whenever!

justhat--I must have missed where Henry needed to see the urologist?? I hope it's nothing serious. I hope Madison is feeling better

lissawyn--I had some really bad swelling with both kids. I had to take off my wedding rings and went up a size and a half in shoes--but as quickly as it came, it went away soon after delivery. Hope you can get a little comfortable!

jill--Weekend plans? Well, it's DH and my 6 year anniversary tomorrow, so we're doing something. My sis is watching the kids, and then I think we're just going to order some take out, rent a movie, and have the house to ourselves for a few hours ( maybe I'll get a "backrub":rotfl2: :rotfl2: ) And then on Sunday we're finally doing Christmas with my parents.

WEll, I better go! The baby is squirming already!

Only have a minute- been spending the morning tidying, as my parents are coming to babysit (how on-topic!) so I can go get my massage and pedicure. :cool1:

GLT- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LAINE! :rockband: party: :bday: Hope he has a fun, fun party.

Kim, Jill, Alisa, justine- so sorry either you gals are sick or your kiddoes are. :grouphug: Saying a prayer for quick recoveries!

Z- I'm sorry to hear the news about your dad; I'm so glad your sisters are there with you.

I'm trying to debate how to spend some of my extra (not too much) money- I found a DARLING old Gymboree dress for sale on the Gymbo boards....it's from a line called Lemony Fresh that was big before my 'time' with Gymbo. Or do I save my pennies for Gymbuck redemption. So far what I've seen is cute, but not to die for cute for my taste. But that could change. I'm waiting to see if that da** Star Wars stuff sells....the auction ends when I am at the spa. 5 or 6 people are watching now- it's a BIN so just buy it for goodness sakes!

Really quick cause Henry's waking up from his nap - Henry has to go to a urologist cause he was born with a hypospadias, which is when the urethral opening is not at the center tip of his "tail" as Madison calls it. (I think the real word is censored.) There are varying degrees of hypospadias-Henry's is coronal, which means his urethral opening is on the corona on the underside of his tail. Because of the hypospadias they wouldn't circumsize him at birth cause they need the foreskin intact for the hypospadias repair (I'm assuming to close the old opening without making things too tight). They do the repair and circumsicion at the same time, generally between 5 and 12 months. He saw a uro back in August who looked at him all of 3 seconds and said "yep, he has a hypospadias. Bring him back in 6 months and we'll discuss the surgery plans." So he goes for that visit on 2/27 with surgery sometime in March. They could have done it in February but since we're going away I didn't want to worry about him being post-op while we're on vacation so March it is.

Henry's definitely not going back to sleep so I gotta run. My husband made a Starbucks run-great timing for him!

Happy b-day to Laine!

Thanks for asking about me GLT and Jill. And thanks to those who PMed me. We are all well. I go back to school this Tues. I am looking forward to it in a way as the sooner I go back the sooner I will be finished with school! I found out today that I am being awarded a Special Career Incentive scholarship for next fall and next Spring. It should cover all of my tuition costs. I will probably also receive additional financial aid that should cover books and daycare and any other necessary expenses so that is a huge blessing! I was thrilled to see that in the mail!

Other good news is that we more than likely will be going to WDW this May afterall! Still not 100% sure but it's looking pretty promising so far. I am waiting to see how much our income tax refund will be so we can use a little of that. We will probably stay at Pop again which is great to dh as he actually really likes it there but again, not 100% sure. We may split a stay. I don't know. I will decide next month sometime.

I came in 2nd in the audience challenge for WPASADI with rewriting the song lyrics for a chance at a stay at the Swan/Dolphin resort. For a while, the winner and I were tied which was pretty exciting. She ended up beating me good at the end though. It really got me wanting to go to WDW though so I am glad it is probably going to work out. Kylie keeps saying she wants to see Mickey Mouse, Chip and Dale, and Pooh Bear too when I ask her so I think she would really enjoy it again.

Anyway, thanks to those who asked about me. I doubt I will be able to post much in the next 4 months or so because my course load is heavier than last semester. I also have to make sure I keep my GPA up so I don't lose the scholarship for next fall, so less computer time for me! Have a great weekend and I hope you all are doing well!

ETA: Jill and SL~ Good luck with school!

GM~ Good luck with your surgery!

Justhat~ Good luck with Henry's surgery!

Gems and lissawynn~ Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancies. I will try to pop in during the upcoming weeks to see if you've had your babies yet.

J&D~ Welcome back. Sorry your trip was a bust. That stinks.

Sorry I can't respond to everybody but I am really far behind on this thread....again.

Tasha - Wow! That is GREAT news on the scholarship!! I'm going to be in Disney in May also. We will be there from 5/6 to 5/10 and then heading to the Keys for a wedding. We'll be staying (gasp!) off site at the Mariott World Center because it will be free! It's just a little side trip before the wedding to celebrate Alex's birthday. That's too bad about the song contest!

justhat - I had to laugh at the use of the word "tail". That was Emmy's word for the "behind". She was always the little animal lover and just started calling it her tail. I see Madison has a new use for the word ;) .

nucpharm - Happy anniversary and enjoy your weekend plans ;) .

Aidan seems a little better but his cough sounds so ugly. We are supposed to go to a big 80th birthday party for DH's uncle (who we are pretty close with). I hate to miss it but I don't think Aidan will be up to it. I'm going to encourage DH to go with the kids. I like them to get the chance to see their humungous extended family.

Thanks for asking about me, Jill & SL. Jenna has had the Rotavirus since we got back from WDW, so I've been very busy with her and unpacking. I am totally exhausted. I feel I need a vacation after our vacation.

Happy Birthday, Laine!

I'll try to make it back here later tonight to catch up. If I don't make it, then I'll be back tomorrow night or Sunday.

TTFN!

Gosh, lots of sick moms and DIS babies here! I hope that everyone feels better soon!

J&D - I'm so sorry to hear that Jenna has the Rotavirus. :grouphug: Meagan had it when she was 5 and ended up in the hospital for 2 days. It is a nasty virus. Prayers being said that it goes quickly and she is better soon!

Tasha - It is great to hear from you! Congrats on the scholarship! :thumbsup2 That is wonderful! Pop in here when you can just to let us know how school is going. Also, I hope that your trip to WDW works out! :wizard:

DisKim - My next door neighbors stayed at the Marriott 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. I'm sorry to hear that Aidan is feeling bad still. Poor little guy! Are you feeling any better? It sounds like you have a bad chest cold or bronchitis with the chest pain. Feel better!

Justhat - I understand your anxiety and concerns with Henry's upcoming surgery. Is it going to take place at GW or Georgetown? Let us know how the visit with the urologist goes. Is Madison feeling any better?

Nucpharm - Happy Anniversary to you! :bride: Have a great time tomorrow! LOL about the backrub! :rotfl2:

Robin - How was the manicure and pedicure today? I bet it was heavenly! ETA: Oops, I see that you had a massage! Even better!! How was it?

SL - Good luck with the reading this weekend and enjoy the mall tomorrow!

GM - I think you should have a "Pooh" party for Olivia. That is crazy that your MIL can't stand Pooh. He is such a cute character! Enjoy your weekend with your friend if she comes up!

Hi to all the moms! I think we are all calling it an early night in this house.

My parents called earlier and thankfully they made it to Jacksonville without any incidents. The weather looked nasty and there were Tornado watches and bad weather on their drive down. I'm glad that they made it safely.

Meagan is still sick. Her head is just killing her and that bothers me. Motrin and Tylenol is not easing her pain. Katie's teacher told Dave today that the kids are dropping like flies again at school. Bad headaches and then the barfs. I don't remember the schools having such problems with viruses like these in the past and I feel bad for all of the sick kids.

I hope that everyone who is sick feels better very quickly and everyone else stays healthy! :grouphug:

I'm pages and pages behind...won't be able to catch up on all but...
GLT - Happy Birthday Laine!!!! :bday:
Fab - great to see your post!
Z - :grouphug: Sending you and your dad postive thoughts. I can't even imagine what you are going thru. Glad your DH is supportive.
DisKim: Poor Aidan...I hate when they have those junky coughs! Hope you are feeling better too.
T&S - :woohoo: on your WDW trip and :cheer2: the scholarship
Bellacam, Cabmom, and Pooh4: So glad that you are taking care of yourselves. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.:grouphug: to you!!
Robin - Hope you enjoyed your massage and pedicure! Sounds fabulous!!
Justhat: Poor Henry! Sorry to hear that he might need surgery. And Poor Madison - hope she's feeling better.
nucpharm: Happy Anniversary:lovestruc
GM: We did a pooh bday for Jace. What's your MIL got against poor Pooh??? :rotfl:
Jill: OMG!  in your house. I hope John does not have CP. You certainly have not had good luck with illness in your house lately. Not much here for the weekend - a friend of mine from college who lives in NH is stopping to have lunch with me on her way to PA to visit family. It's been almost a year since I've seen her, so I am happy about that.
Hillbeans: I want a ROOMBA! Glad to hear that it works well.
BNB: Sounds like Jocelyn might be :lovestruc :rotfl: Too cute!
SL: :yay: for no headaches recently. Glad your class went well.
Lissawyn, Nyprincess & Gems: Hang in there...not far now!
Tamie - if you didn't leave yet (is it tomorrow?) hope you have a blast in MEXICO!
I heard from IceBrat - sounds like Tess is doing well. Hope she posts with us again soon!!

Aside from my friend coming for lunch...not much on the weekend agenda. I would like to go dining room shopping. I've decided that I am going to use the $$ I'm getting back from my dependent care pre-tax account for Jace to get a new dining room table and chairs. We've been using my grandmother's set for a few years now and 1) it's not really my type and 2) the "leaves" do not set perfectly..almost like a bit warped. Just on website pics alone, I'm loving the ones at Pottery Barn. Hopefully we can go looking at some. I can't wait to get a new set.

It's supposed to be in the 60's here tomorrow.:worried: :(
Where is the snow???? I'm bumming - it's January people!!! I just hope Jace will be able to wear the snow suit and boots we bought him one of these days. I want to play with him in the snow!! 60 degrees in January - come on!

I need to start planning/booking our Sept trip to WDW. We haven't done much as my parents are trying to convince my bro and sil to come with the kids too. But Bro and SIL are being duds about it and it doesn't look like it's going to happen :(. It would have been so fun to have us all there for the trip - especially so Jace could do WDW with his cousins. At least my parents are going so DH & I can get to go on some good rides (EE,TOT....) and get some time alone. I think my parents are hoping that they'll let them take the kids with them if Bro and SIL don't want to go. I doubt they'd let them but who knows.

TGIF!
:)

joats - I am with you on the weather! It was 82 and muggy here today! :( Great for visitors maybe, but not us who live here. This has been a hot and awful 12 months!

Diskim - I used to work for Marriott many moons ago and stayed at the World Center many times. I loved that hotel. The pool is awesome, at least it was back then! The kids will enjoy it, the elevator and all.

j&D - hope Jenna feels better soon.

I better run, I stayed home tonight and DH wants me to watch some stupid Vin Diesel movie. So I will have to watch it for 30 minutes before I can give up. Good night all.

Another Mommy of a sick child checking in here. Kona is warm and barfed today.

I hope all of our babies are feeling better soon.

I was going to go to the mall today with Kona but that never happened. We went to Target and she started to act funny so we came home.

I did get some jammies in the mail today from Victoria's Secret so at least I'm comfy. I still haven't gotten the Sees candy I ordered but hopefully it will be here on Monday. I need my chocolate!!

HAPPY BIRTHADAY LAINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: :cheer2:

Tasha,

Wonderful news on the scholarship!!

DisKim,

Sorry Aidan isn't feeling well. I'm sure nothing is wrong but he sounds like he acts just like my cousin's baby that ended up having a hernia. Of course, his Dr. probably would have caught that so I'm just rambling. What do you think it could be??

Hi to everyone. I can't even begin to get caught up.

DisKim and Tamie,

I did get your Paypals. I hope I have PM'd everyone back to let them know I've gotten their paypals or letters. Just drop me a PM if you are wondering.

Brrrrr..it's cold here! I would like an order of 80 degree weather please. Even 60 sounds good. I left the spa and it was 38 and windy. :cold: It's snowing hard at higher elevations, but just rain here.

And, the massage and pedi were awesome. I was a little taken aback- the 5 times or so I've been to that spa I have yet to see a man unless it's a husband waiting for his wife. Well, I had a male masseuse! Call me CRAZY, but I couldn't help but think of the SATC episode for Samantha gets kicked out of the health club cause she heard the guy masseuse did 'favors'. :rotfl: Not that I was looking for favors, just a real backrub and he did an excellent job. And the pedi was heaven, as always. That's my favorite and I made myself appts to go back in Feb and March. So I will have pretty toes for Disney. :cloud9:

Well, DH just pulled up- sorry for my drive-by post. Hope everyone has a restful evening and that our sickies are feeling better tomorrow!:wizard:

DisKim- I’m sorry Aidan is so sick. It seems like everyone is getting sick this week. LOL about the teddy grahams on hall duty though.

Justhat- I hope Madison’s fever goes down. :(

Nucpharm- Happy Anniversary!

Tasha- Congrats on the scholarship!!!

J&D- Oh gosh, Jenna is sick too :(

Jill= Glad your parents made their trip safely. The weather here has been nasty all day. Very warm, but nasty.

Joats- Our theory is that MIL hates Pooh because he’s chubby and rolly-polley.

FF- Not Kona too! OMG I’m afraid to keep reading this thread with all the sick kiddos.

Alice- glad you had a good afternoon at the spa. A pedi is my favorite thing to get too. It always make me feel indulgent. Did you have any luck selling those toys on ebay?

Well, Olivia got her shoes. They’re actually really cute, pink and green and they remind me a little of Candyland with their pattern. It’s the popular pattern for girls shoes at StrideRite this year. Just my luck though StrideRite was NEXT DOOR to gymbo, so I had to stop in again. Now Olivia has an Imaginary Friends outfit too. I couldn’t resist it with the little panda that pops out of the pocket! Now I have to be done though, because there’s no more room in my budget.

OK, time to work on the trip report some more. WPASADI results got moved back again, so I won’t know until tomorrow night what’s going on. We're supposed to have SEVENTY degrees tomorrow though. Scary!

Robin - :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: About the SATC episode with Samantha and the masseuse! You've inspired me to watch an episode of SATC tonight!

FF - I'm sorry to hear that Kona is sick! :grouphug:

Z - Enjoy the movie with your dh!

Joats - Have fun with your college friend this weekend. :goodvibes Good luck with your Disney planning too! I hear you on wanting to get a new dining room set. I have my parents set and the chairs are in need of being recovered and the table has a bad scratch on it. Perhaps one day I will replace it.

Well, I seriously need to get off the computer! :surfweb: John is in bed and Meagan is passed out next to me on the couch. Katie is watching Emeril on FoodNetwork.

Everyone have a great Friday! :wizard:

ETA: GM - Our Stride Rite and Gymbo are next to each other at the mall too. Little girls shoes are so cute!! Glad to hear that you were successful today. Yikes about the 70 degrees too! This weather sure is crazy! The Cherry Blossoms are blooming in DC!

OK, I just inhaled dinner. I was so hungry! I just piddled around this morning with breakfast and lunch, so I was starving by the time I left the spa. DH brought home our payday standby, Chinese. Oh, and GM I just noticed today that the coloring page you sent me was the menu for Nine Dragons- thank you! I'm glad they still have the rice and sweet n sour chicken for kids- all 3 love the chicken and Molly & Josh suck up the rice like they're Dysons.

And, guess what- the kids got a postcard from Mickey & Minnie today telling them they were excited to see them soon! So, thank you to either Gina or Jen for doing that! :lovestruc

Justine- I would be nervous about the surgery too for Henry, but it sounds like it's a fairly common thing and he'll be rarin' to go soon afterwards.

Gina- those shoes sound cute! Molly needs a spring pair soon. I need to evaluate her clothes and see what would go with the most outfits. I did buy her a pink pair of sandals from Lands End a few months ago on clearance.

FF- I'm so sorry you were up last night with poor Kona. :( I hope you are able to rest tonight.

My toys did not sell on ebay. Off to Target we go tomorrow to return. I don't want to mess with it, and my credit card statement came today. I need to get those off of there if I am to pay it in full. Poop. That was going to be extra Gymbo money.

I'm kind of looking forward to this weekend. I hope to get some scrapping done. I have a hard time being crafty when DH is home- I feel like I need to be doing something with him, esp since my scrap space is smack in the middle of the downstairs. Not exactly a confined space.

Joats- I am excited that my parents are going with us to Disney. Like you said, it just makes things easier with the kids and DH and I getting a bit of alone time too. Not to mention I enjoy their company! I hope you have a nice lunch tomorrow and that you get to shop at Pottery Barn soon!

Jill- glad I gave you a giggle about SATC. I got on a rip about it last week and watched a lot of Season 4 and then the finale and stayed up late to do so. A little too graphic to watch when the boys are up. They do know the music to it when I watch the censored version on TBS and they'll say, "Oh...no...not SEX and the city!" I could die just hearing my children say the word sex! :rolleyes1

And I'm not a prude!

No sneak preview of Gymbo yet....I keep going back and checking...

Nuc- Happy Anniversary!

Tasha- good to see you- hope school goes well for you next semester.

Jen- so sorry Jenna is sick too! :(

Hey, our Gymbo, Gap, Stride Rite, children's Place and Disney Store are all at the same end of the mall too! Makes for good shopping! :thumbsup2

Well, I think I am going to take a hot shower and shower off all this massage oil. I asked him to really work on my upper hip/lower back area, cause every time I worked out this week, it ached so badly I had to stop in the middle and do a long stretch or I wanted to quit. So hopefully that will help a bit.

Sorry to anyone I missed!

justhat,

:grouphug: About the surgery. I'm sure everything will be fine but I know you're worried.

Robin,

Glad you had fun today. Sorry the Star Wars stuff didn't sell.

Oh, I have to share this with you ladies. A thread was started on the Gymbo boards, 'how much did you make on ebay last spring/summer'. I am not kidding when I say that a lot of the gals made between $2,000 and $7,000!!!!!!!! (most between the 2-4K range). This was me- :faint: . I want to show that thread to DH because that shows I don't buy NEARLY as much Gymbo as a lot of those gals! I mean, I only sold maybe 1/3 to half of Molly's clothes last year (the rest got ruined), and made $270. So say all of it was in good shape and I got $500. Still nowhere in the running!

It made me feel better about my Gymbo habit. :rotfl:

I'm going to bed cause I'm sure I'll be up overnight with Madison again (she kept waking in a delirium last night and we didn't know she was sick till this morning) but I wanted to wish Laine a very Happy Birthday!!! I hope the party goes well GLT!

And wow, that's a ton of money to make on Gymbo! I feel like selling Madison's stuff now, but I'm saving it in the event of another girl one day.

Robin !!! OMG those ladies are addicted. ;)

I bid you all a fond farewell for the evening. Apparently, DH would like to give me a BACKRUB. :rotfl: Is this move in the married man's manual?

Hi Ladies, thank you for the b'day wishes for Laine! He had a pretty good day, got lots of b'day phone calls, went to McD's for lunch, he chose Ramen noodles and hot dogs for dinner:rotfl: and then we had an indoor pool/b'day party for a friend of his (they have the same b'day). So it went pretty well.

I know this sounds insane, but I feel sorry for X. He has no clue how to take care of himself and has already dug himself into a financial pit, ontop of that since the car accident last weekend he has continued to go downhill emotionally (plus his bleeding ulcer) and now he thinks that the insurance company may total his car - he owes more than it's worth. I'm not sure how that works, but it's not looking good. There is no way I am taking him back, ever, but I can't help but feel badly for his situation -- and yes I know he did it to himself, so I don't think I feel guilty about it......but I don't wish those types of troubles on anyone.

zalansky - yes, backrubs are certainly in the manual:lmao: Can you claim a headache;) Good luck this weekend, I'll be thinking of you

My computer died posting, so the below is ETA:

hillbeans - what's a roomba?

robin - glad the massage went well, even without the favors -- ha ha
Wow about the gymbo stuff, it must truly be an addiction, think they lace the clothes with something?

justhat - well wishes for Henry

FF - hope you have a restful and delightful weekend and that Kona feels better

Tasha - yeah on financial help and bonus on an upcoming Disney trip!

Oh, I so want to catch up , but it's not happening tonight.

Thinking of you ladies, sending prayers and well wishes to all my DIS friends.

BTW- any regular posters on this board want some Enfamil NextStep coupons? I have about four $3 coupons. If interested, just PM me and I'll send them your way.
