Bellacam - I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you, Bailey, and your family. Please keep us updated on how she's doing. :grouphug:

I am dead tired. I just spent the last two hours grading papers b/c I was working on yearbook pages while I was at school. Jimmy is refusing to go to sleep. My BIL and DH are upstairs wiping down the walls and maybe priming. I have to go see what's going on.

Until tomorrow...

Joats- I bought that phone for Sam as a toddler and we STILL have it. It's a GOOD one!

Huge thanks to my SECRET SANTA!!!!! I got a vanilla bean B&BW spray (one of my absolute favorite scents), a hazelnut candle, a few candies, and a set of flavored sugars for my coffee. I'm making a cup right now to try one out and I can't wait. They look so good. I think I know who it is because I cheated and looked at the postmark. Thanks, BnB!!!! :Pinkbounc

bellacam - :grouphug: :grouphug: Poor Bailey! I hope she's doing better now.

joats - We have that phone! Lucas loves it. We got it for him last Christmas and he's played with it almost every day this whole year. Our voices don't sound quite as good as they did when the phone was new, but it's still a fun toy.

Tasha - I hope Kylie feels better. Puke is the one thing I can't handle. Give me the stinkiest, runniest diaper and I'm fine. Throw up makes me throw up.

I gotta run because Lucas just took all the cereal boxes out of the pantry. HUGE mess!

eta: DH can get the mess...LOL...I just found out I won the gift card for the dress competition! Yay! :yay:

Bellacam I'm so sorry about Bailey! My nephew had RSV at 4 months old and it was so scary. You're right that there isn't much info on it and there should be cause lots of little babies are hospitalized from it. I hope she's doing better now. Lots of hugs to her and you.

Hi all. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I still cant believe this has happened. Aidan had a pretty bad cold for most of last week and on Thursday he was put on an antibiotic for bronchiolitis. Bailey at that point had started with a runny nose, but I figured par for the course, with Aidan being sick too. I never even mentioned her runny nose to our Dr. :guilty: Her nasal congestion got worse and quite suddenly early Sunday morning she began to cough and wheeze and went down hill rapidly. I took her to the ER where they did the RSV test and we were admitted right away when it came back positive. She was the first baby in Maine to be hospitalized with it this year so far. As I said we are home now and have to watch her like a hawk. She is still having issues with breathing and is unable to nurse. She has also had reflux issues caused by the virus so she has had to have cereal mixed with her breastmilk just to keep it down. I rented a pump from the hospital since mine is not meant to maintain a milk supply. I did not get to see Aidan for almost four days. Thank God DH is still on paternity leave thru Jan 2 or I would have lost my mind. I feel like a fool for being so unanware of the diffrence in winter and summer babies and what they may be exposed to. The Dr used a portrait studio as an example of how infested a place can be with these types of viruses and I just about fainted knowing I had taken Bailey and Aidan both for pictures and she was so little. Sorry to be so dramatic but I really needed to get these thoughts out. I haven't really slept too much and now am going to get some much needed rest. I'm sure I'll feel better after some sleep and now that we are home.

bellacam - Poor Bailey! You are not a bad mommy! How scary for you all though. Please keep us posted when you can. Sending good thoughts your way.

icebrat - Congrats on getting Tess early! Don't sweat the small stuff. As others have said, just get the carseat and a couple of outfits. You'll figure out what else you need as you go along. I don't even know what to say about the job thing, I can't even imagine!

sl - congrats on winning!

joats - That's a great phone! We love Choo Choo Soul here too! (I think I might love it a little more than Tyler, lol) Sorry the tree trick didn't work!

lissawynn - Sorry Jimmy won't sleep for you! I can't believe the progress they are making on your house, how exciting.

alice - They aren't messing around with those challenges are they? It's like a full time job. Good luck!

tasha - Hope Kylie's puke doesn't come back!

hi to jill, fab, bnb, zalansky, justthat, hillbeans, cabmom, j&d (i forgot to tell you how cute jenna's pic was), nucpharm and anyone else I'm missing!!

I called my MIL tonight and asked her if she wanted to meet Tyler and I for dinner since we are on our own. She said she was too tired  I mean she has to eat right? I kind of thought if she didn't want to go out she might invite us over for dinner or just to visit so she could see Tyler. I guess not.

I know there are a couple of Texas Roadhouse fans on here right? I've never heard of it until this thread and we are getting one near our house. So, tell me about it!

see ya - tamie

SL - Congrats on winning the giftcard!!

BnB - I just want to say that you officially have me paranoid about being pregnant now! I mean, logically I know I'm not, but last year just about this time I got this weird illness where I was achey all over, throat pain, tired, fever, congested, etc., but not a real cold or anything. I really think it was an "inception illness" cause it was just days after Henry was conceived. And guess how I felt today? I think this time it's a real cold cause Madison's got a bad one, but I still have this huge sense of dread hanging over me. I would die if I had a positive pregnancy test now or anytime in the next 2.5 years! So I want to thank you for making me the most paranoid person in the world! :lmao:

J&D - Jenna's picture is so cute! I have some photos of Madison that I love, but you can't see her face too. I really think they capture their personality so well.

Alice28 - Good luck as team leader. I don't really know what you have to do, but I'm sure you'll be great!

Lissawynn - Sounds like your house is coming along nicely. I can't wait to see pictures of the finished product.

Jill - I'll send you a PM with our rough schedule. I know you've got a lot of people going with you so don't stress about it cause we can always meet up when we're back home.

Joats - Madison has the keys in that picture and still plays with them now. I never got the phone but now I think I will get one for Henry when he's a little older.

Ice - Don't stress over the 2 hours you'll be alone with Tess' mom. Just focus more on Tess and getting her to warm up to you cause she's your priority anyway. And I forgot to share a story about "sounding white". My mom's dad remarried a woman from Puerto Rico when my mom was a teenager. When they were looking for apts she'd (the stepmom) call and every place said they did not have any apts available so eventually she asked my mom to start calling and suddenly those same places now had vacancies. :sad2: When she'd show up with my grandfather to sign a lease they were often told that the apt was "just rented" and that she sounded different on the phone. Of course, this was in the 60s so you'd think we'd have progressed more than that by now, but I guess not. :sad2:

Tasha - Great to hear from you! Sorry Kylie's got a bug, but hopefully it's gone now and you won't have to clean anymore vomit. I'm not so great with that either so I can sympathize. Madison's only ever really vomited once (other than vomiting with a cough, but we came to expect that really fast and were prepared with a towel), but it was right after I picked her up facing me so it was all over me.

Nucpharm - I hope Emma is feeling better today too. I wouldn't have thought Madison was that sick either so you're not a bad mommy!

Fabumouse - Henry was actually quite the angel today. He must have known Mommy was sick. He napped decently too - 4 naps, 2 fairly long ones and 2 short ones - and still went to bed on time! He is not bothered by his cough at all, he's sleeping, eating, peeing, etc. without a problem and is happy as a clam, but with our trip on Monday I figure I should get him looked at anyway. The nurse seemed pretty unconcerned though and said she thinks it's just one cold after another, which is what we think it is too, but since we'll be away all next week, with my mom who will tell me what a bad mommy I am for not taking him the dr, I think it will be in everyone's best interest to take him in.

My pregnant friend in Bahrain sent me her list of possible names for her kid and one of them is Tierney, the name we were going to use for Henry if he were a girl. Well, the name I say we were using, my husband insists it was not cause he hates it. So he's thrilled now cause if she uses it he thinks that I can't. Not that there will be any more babies in this house for at least 3 years...!

Time for bed. I still am not feeling great, but at least it's just the cold now, the achiness is gone.

ETA: Tamie, that is weird about your MIL. Does she see Tyler often? I really wish we lived near family so we could just drop by like that.

Just had to share! My daughter called (from Hawaii) 11am her time , 1pm my time.....crying and saying she was going to have the baby today! She went to her weekly Dr. appt., and after few days of on and off contractions and staying dialated at 1 cm, she had dialated to 4 cm and Dr. said for her to stay ....first though she was instructed to walk around the hospital for an hr. I think her dh had to rush home to get his wallet that he left behind.....she was crying of nerves it sounded like. I told her she would be fine and that there are many people thinking of her .......she cracked me up by saying she could not wait for the epidural so she could finally sleep. heeeee what are the odds of THAT happening. who knows, her luck, she will get 20 min of sleep. ha ha

just had to share. I was at work and when I verbalized what she said to me to a co-worker I was getting quite verklempt..........

'grandma-just-waiting-in-the-wings'.......... popcorn:: :hourglass :surfweb: :cloud9:

Hermosa--congrats on being a very-soon-to-be grandmother!!

SL--congrats on winning the GC!!

bellacam--so sorry to hear about Bailey and the RSV! My dniece had RSV last Christmastime--she didn't have to be hospitalized, but it was very scary. actually the first test they did for RSV came back negative, but then my dsis got really concerned and a couple days later they did it again and it was positive. She was really sick for a while, and then pretty much was with some sort of cold all winter--BUT now she's a happy healthy little girl! Good luck to you all!

joats--also fans of Choo-Choo soul here as well! :thumbsup2

well, I'm being brief again--DH requested that I make Chocolate chip cookies tonight, so I"m baking again. For some reason, I really don't like making chocolate chip cookies--and I"m not very good at them. Oh well. Gotta make the man happy! Well, going to pull the last batch out of the oven and then curl up in bed and watch Top Chef.

HUGS to Bellacam and Bailey! :grouphug: Feel better soon baby girl and don't be so hard on yourself Mommy..... :)

Icebrat - yes about the roosters and yes there are days we want to kill them. Tha area we're in is turning 100% latino, mostly Mexican. They buy the homes and then 10 persons do the work on the house and those ten persons never leave. They don't leave the house except to get beer it seems, and they blast latino rap music some days - which is a nice accompaniament (sp?) with the rooster caw.

Sorry gotta roll, feel that Ambien coming on..... :rotfl:

Bellacam - Lindsey was in the hospital when she was 6 weeks old and it was devastating. I know how much that takes out of you and how stressful it is for the family for see your little one hooked up to IV's. I am so glad you are back home and totally understand you needing to hover over Baily - I believe after we got back from the hospital we began co-sleeping and it lasted for months as I was so afraid of something happening (she had a siezure while in the hospital and I was afraid to miss it if she had another).

Bellacam, you are not a bad mother for not knowing. There is no way to know. When infants get sick, they get sick VERY quickly. Please know that you did and are doing the best for Baily. Hugs and prayers to you and your family. :grouphug: I'm so glad dh was able to watch over Aidan for you, I know how stressful that is, to have been away from him for so long. Hug your babies tonight for me.

SL :cheer2: :thumbsup2 Good job!

nucpharm - all those other cookies weren't enough for him  Hope the cookies come out well!

Hermosa - good luck and congratulations!

justhat - feel better soon

Tamie - sorry MIL didn't want to visit, oh well, at least you tried.

lissawynn - you have been working your behind off, be sure to get some rest!

joats -that phone is really cute! Leif loves to carry my phone around and use it

icebrat - I think a restaurant is a great idea, distractions are there for each of you - I say do that. Sorry this is so stressful. What's happening with the other children? Tess is so fortunate you already love her!!

Tasha - I hope Kylie feels better soon

jill - hope you get some rest tonight

Sorry to all those I'm missing.

LADIES - I hate to be begging, but please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Tomorrow at 2 p.m. CST is a temporary hearing when I find out if/how much I get to keep the kids between now and when the divorce is worked out. I think I also find out where I stand financially. I need all the support and prayers you can supply.

Just stopping in quickly ladies.

I passed a kidney stone last night/this morning, which was misery. I had to pull through though, because we had breakfast scheduled at Crystal Palace with Pooh! Olivia was dressed in her piglet costume and loved all the characters. I don't think I mentioned this yesterday, but she learned how to wave a couple of days ago. Now she waves at all the characters in the parades, and waves at strangers passing by. She's so adorable. I'm biased, I know, but it's cute.

I have to get some sleep though. Been trying to get through WPASADI despite the lack of time and the kidney stone fiasco. Vacation is flying by too quickly!!!

glt - Sending good thoughts that everything works out the way you want tomorrow!! What a nerve wracking thing to know that so much is in someone else's hands. You're a great mom and the judge is bound to see that!!

gm - OMG!! You poor girl! What a trooper, you didn't miss a beat at WDW with all that pain!! I hope you feel better soon!

z - I can't even imagine roosters, my barking dog is enough to annoy the heck out of me!

nucpharm - With all the treats in your house your DH seriously requested something specific ;) LOL! I would have said "um, eat one of the million things I already made" ;)

hermosa - How exciting!!! Congratulations soon to be Grandma!!

justthat - I'm glad Henry was such a good boy for you today! We live 10 minutes from my MIL, but we really don't see her as much as you would think living that close. We see her every couple of weeks. She always complains that she doesn't get to see Tyler much. I guess I can't win.

off to bed! night!

GM- my worst nightmare- passing a kidney stone at Disney. I need to make sure I pack my demerol for our trip!

GLT- will definitely keep you in my thoughts tomorrow- please tell us what happens.

Bellacam- please don't be so hard on yourself... :guilty: :grouphug:

Icebrat- I will keep you in my thoughts as far as getting everything ready for Miss Tess. And that things go as smoothly as possible this weekend for you.

Justhat- hope you feel better soon! :wizard:

SL- YAY for winning the gift card! :cheer2:

Hermosa- I actually snoozed for about an hour with the epi with my first. It was great and I woke up and was complete and ready to push! Congrats to you and your daughter.

Bellacam - I'm so sorry to hear about Bailey :guilty: :grouphug: . Please know that you are not a bad mommy! I would never have suspected RSV either! To be honest, I've had 3 kids and I'm still unaware of the symptoms associated with RSV. I hope you were able to get some rest and I hope that she is better very soon. I'm actually tearing up right now :grouphug: .

Hermosa - How exciting!! Keep us posted on your daughter's progress!!

zalansky- We have the same thing happening in our neighborhood but we haven't had problems with roosters and loud music. Actually, when we first moved in to our house, the old couple whose backyard is behind ours had roosters and chickens. You would not believe how bad they smelled. They kept the coop against our yard and totally away from their house. They are the nicest people in the world but that didn't prevent me from calling the authorities on them. They made them remove every last smelly chicken and rooster :thumbsup2 . I still don't think they know that I was the one that made the phone call.

GM - Have you slept at all? Between passing a kidney stone and working on wapasadi, I would be dead on my feet! You are a trooper! Enjoy your breakfast today. Say hi to Pooh and friends for me!!

I've been trying to plan a few days in Disney before we go to the Keys for my cousin's wedding. I was thinking about renting DVC points since we would only need Sunday-Wednesday nights. It will still cost me over a thousand dollars. I just don't know if I can swing that with 2 weddings. I really must be insane or a true Disney addict to even consider this. We have my niece's wedding on 5/5 and we are ALL in the wedding party. I was hoping to leave the day after that wedding for Orlando. Then, we have to be in the Keys by Thursday since they have houses rented out for Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights. Then we would leave Sunday. Oh, and I would probably get fired from my job for taking so many days off. I'm going to get my 3 personal days approved but I'll have to fake sick for 2 days and I feel very guilty to miss so much school. The only reason I'm considering a few days in Disney is because one of the weddings falls on Alex's birthday and he is totally getting overshadowed by these 2 weddings. I figured no one can make him feel as special as Mickey!!

OK, I better get to work!

Another quick post here.....

Bellacam - :grouphug: :grouphug: Like everyone else has said, don't be hard on yourself about Bailey. RSV is very hard to figure out. It appears like a cold and then it goes downhill quickly as in Bailey's case. You didn't do anything wrong at all. Know that we are all thinking of you and saying some prayers for little Bailey. Try to get some rest.

Justhat - I need to pm you my schedule as well. My mom organized this trip since I was too busy this fall. The 'control freak' in me has a hard time letting someone else plan my trip but I'm going to be good and just sit back and relax. I hope that we can meet up! Feel better soon!

GLT - Prayers your way. :grouphug: Since you have been the primary caregiver with the kids since birth then you should be fine. Your dh will be granted some sort of visitation. Did your lawyer say how the state tends to mandate custody? In MD, where my sister got her divorce the courts liked to grant joint custody. My sister got sole custody and her ex got visitation. Continued good thoughts and prayers your way. :grouphug:

Ginamarie - You poor thing with the kidney stone! Like everyone else has said, you are a trooper!

DisKim - Go for the DVC rental! :woohoo: I hope that it all works out!

Tamie - Sorry that your MIL didn't come to visit. You are right, it sounds like you can't win.

SL - Congrats on the gift card!

Robin - Congrats on being chosen team leader! Does that mean that you will have a ton of extra work?

Lissawynn - Good luck with the rest of the home improvement! It sounds like it is coming along very well.

Hermosa - Congrats to your dd! :wizard: Keep us posted on her progress.

Joats - Thanks for the information on the phone! I need to stop by Target and pick one up for John.

Nucpharm - Chocolate chip cookies sound yummy!

Z - I hope you got a good night's sleep last night!

Today is a busy day here. I've got my eye appointment at 11:00 then I need to come back here and get Katie from school for her appointment at 2:20. I hope that John enjoys all the running around today. I need to start thinking of packing at some point too.

Everyone have a great day! :sunny:

Morning! I have a few minutes - I had to take DH to the train station early and the kids are all three asleep in my bed! Our old car is dead at the station - we need to get the battery replaced and the car picked up. We are donating it. GLT - you wouldn't want it or I'd get it to to you - it's not safe for the kiddos and we've only been using it to get DH to the station and back! I think they'll just use it for parts. Anyway....

bellacam - :grouphug: to you and Bailey! You are not a bad mom - please don't blame yourself! So glad she is on the mend!

sl - congrats on winning the contest!

lissawynn - sounds like the house is progressing nicely! How exciting!

GLT - :grouphug: I'll be thinking of you this afternoon!

nucpharm - how's Emma? Just think - a few more years and SHE can make the Choc. chip cookies for you! Hayley takes care of it for me and I LOVE IT!

Hermosa - congrats! Keep us posted!

Ginamarie - WOW! You are a real Disney trooper! Hope you're doing ok! Glad Olivia is having fun!

icebrat - OHMYGOSH! Tess is coming so soon! What a lucky new family you guys will be! Sorry you had such a bad experience with the new job. That's really odd - sounds like Mississippi (where I lived for 8 years). I had a mom call me and ask me if I knew her daughter was black because Hayley had invited her to her party. She was in tears when I said I had met her daughter at school before and that we wanted her at the party because the girls were good friends and played every day. Very odd. Anyway, for a different Santa take, he always leaves his gifts un-wrapped and ready to play with around here! Mommy and Daddy wrap theirs, though.

Well, I didn't get as far as I wanted to and I need to wake the kids. Have an awesome day, everyone and a BIG hello to all the mommies! :)

Morning all! :sunny:

Yeah, you would've thought after all the cookies I made that DH could eat some of those--but when it comes to sweets he's awfully picky--imagine! He won't eat anything that doesn't have chocolate in it, and heaven forbid try to make something out of the ordinary. Luckily I made the ones with hershey kisses on them, so he's been eating those up until now--he wouldn't even try the Magic cookie bars b/c they were "new" to him! Whatever! More for me!!! However, BNB, I told DH about the Santa Trail mix, and he was all about that! Gotta get to the store to get the goodies to make it up! :thumbsup2

Today is pretty much a "nothing" day for us. I might be watching the baby this afternoon, but not counting on that. So off to the gym and then home to tidy up. Maybe I should start thinking of getting stuff together for our trip--Nah, might as well wait until the last minute!

glt--Sending lots of prayers and positive vibes your way! :grouphug: :goodvibes :grouphug: I agree that you should get primary custody of the kids--especially after all you've let us in on. How are the leads on the cars?? Anything pan out? I can't believe you've been without a car for so long. Make sure to check in later to let us know what happened.

alice--how's the weather where you are??? We're getting your local weather reports here b/c one of those hikers lost on Mt. Hood is a local guy. Looked awfully windy yesterday!

gm--A kidney stone!! OMG--you are my hero to keep going with your vacation despite all that pain! How fun that Olivia is waving at everyone. Good luck with the wasabi thing as well!

Jill--good luck with all the appointments today. Reminds me that I need to try to make some appt.s as well.

dizagain--Too bad about the dead car. Hope you're being able to get everything ready to sell your house--I remember all to well the "joys" of tidying every, stinking day!

fab--How's your DH doing?? Still getting those steps in???

diskim--Aren't we all disney addicts?? :rotfl: If you could swing the DVC thing, it sounds great! I'm sure we'd be trying to do the same thing! Good luck with whatever you decide

z--too bad about your neighborhood. I feel like we live in a bubble here in ultimate suburbia. It's a whole city made up of 90% upper middle class 30-40s with young kids--you'd think it was some sort of cult if you didn't know better. But if it makes you feel any better we also get the blasting latino tunes as well, it seems like all the workers on the house they're building across the street are latino. but no roosters as of yet! :rotfl2:

Well, Matthew has had enough of his high chair and cheerios, so time to go for me! Hope everyone has a wonderful day! :sunny:

Bellacam,

:grouphug: :grouphug: Sorry to hear Bailey was so sick. I'm glad she's out of the hospital. :grouphug:

I don't have much time to catch up. It's been very busy around here with Kona, DS being sick and MIL here for her visit. We've been having a great time!

DH has next week off and he can hardly stand the wait as he is just exhausted. He has to pull up all of the landscaping he just put in our front yard and keep it from dying before he can plant it again when the septic thing is done.

I'll try and catch up more this weekend.

Hi to everyone :wave2:
