Ok ladies - I have a 20% off code for Gymbo and we will not be using it. If you want it, PM me.

Hey all. I just placed a huge Old Navy order and still feel like I haven't even made a dent in my Christmas shopping. We put our tree up yesterday and still have to decorate it. I think that may be something we'll have to do when Lucas is asleep. DH is outside right now putting the outdoor lights up.

We took Lucas for his Christmas pics at Target yesterday. We got exactly one good one so I'm not sure if buying the online access is worth it. We told the photographer we only wanted a couple of the whole family, but she took 8 of us and only 4 of Lucas. I hadn't realized what happened b/c she took a million pics and deleted a whole bunch. Argh. At least we have one good one, but our Christmas cards and the package we bought are the same pose.

zalansky - Have a wonderful, fantastic, marvellous trip! You certainly deserve it!

bellacam - That's great that Bailey is such a good baby. She's adorable.

icebrat - Congratulations on the pending adoption. I hope all goes smoothly.

Congrats and good luck to all the WPASADI players (did I get those letters right? :lmao: )

I'm hoping the mall has the See's kiosk up this year. I'm dying to buy some after all the talk around here lately.

Bellacam- so glad Bailey is such a good baby- makes life easier!

Z- HAVE A GREAT TRIP! You deserve to have a wonderful, wonderful time. I can't wait to hear all about it. And, yes, I got your transfer- thank you!

Kim- A Christmas amusement park, LOL! :lmao: You kill me! I'm sorry Aidan and Emmy are not feeling well. :guilty:

SL- I hope your Christmas pics turned out! I gotta get a good one of the kids so I can do some cards at Costco- they have Disney themes this year on their photo cards! :thumbsup2

Nuc- 12 miles! Wow! I can only imagine how tired you must feel! Way to go!

Ice- have fun shopping, even if it's just to look! We got a Gymbo outlet here about 6 weeks ago; so far I have been once and believe it or not, bought nothing.

It might SNOW here tomorrow! CRAZY. It better not- my boys need to go back to school!

Hi all! I just wanted to say, you all are KILLING me with all your talk of See's candies! And with Luke showing no interest at all in using a cup!

justthat--I figured you'd be ready to throw something at me with that comment! But I coudn't resist.

bellacam--Sounds like Bailey's a keeper! Glad the sleeping and nursing thing is going well for you.

Loretta--Have a fabulous trip, we look forward to hearing all about it when you return.

Congrats to our WPASADI (?) players. If you need input from "outsiders" let us know--IIRC, there were times when people had to vote on stuff. Of course, then you'll have to take us along on the trip to WDW when you win...

Gina--Your Thanksgiving food post cracked me up, mostly because I'm half Italian and know all about those feasts every holiday! We ate at DBIL/SIL's house this year, and although there was plenty of food, it was definitely not the type of extravaganza I grew up on.

OH!!! I have to tell everyone--Luke said his first word! It's "clap"! Well, actually, it's "cap", but he claps when he says it, and then laughs! He's just so cute! And DH and I are so relieved--Robert didn't say a single word until he was two--not even "Mama"--and was in speech therapy for a year. Of course, now we can't shut him up, but that's another issue.

I'm pretty much done with my "kid" Christmas shopping, but still have plenty to go, so don't get jealous. Jocelyn wants to get an animal from Heifer International as gifts for family. For those of you unfamiliar, you can buy an animal (sheep, goat, etc.) for a desperately poor family around the world--they get training as well, and have to pass the first offspring off to help another family in their village. So, that's what we'll do for adults on our list, but I still have nieces and friends' kids to shop for. I'm thinking kids wouldn't be thrilled to find out their gift money went to some family in Bolivai, no matter how altruistic the child in question is! But it's nice of Jocelyn to want to help families in poverty--she even showed an interest in helping to raise the animals that go to the families.

Another lovely day here in NJ!

Kailey went with dh to see a play and had a great time but has been generally run-down all day. I hate when she has more than one physical complaint at a time - it's hard to know what to deal with - the ear infection, the bright red marks on her legs, or her complaint that she "has too much poop in her body"??

Robin - great haul for Gems! Hope it doesn't snow there. I have got to get Kailey some snow boots. But I really dislike spending so much money on something she may not need. Or may need for a few weeks. Ugh.

Z - have a great trip!! I'm so jealous.

BnB - that is so neat of Jocelyn to want to donate an animal. And congrats on the "cap" - I love that beginning stage of talking.

Kim - I hope Emmy is not sick.

Nucpharm - great job on the run!!!

Dizagain - thanks for the Monistat tip - I'll definitely be getting some ASAP.

:surfweb:

OMG!!! I just found out that I was also picked to play WPASADI!!! I am on the Sub Community Team!!! It looks like I'll be playing against some of my favorite people here on the DIS. ;)

But what IS WPASADI???

ETA:WPASADI (Wha - pa - sod - dee) stands for Wickedly Perfect Amazing Surviving Apprentice DIS Idol. It is an online reality based contest where DISers start out in teams competing against each other in creative challenges. The projects are judged by a team of "celebrity" judges and given scores. The Team with the highest score wins immunity and each of its team members are safe for another week. The other teams then have to hold a "Tribal Council" where they each anonymously vote someone off their team. Eventually the game hits a certain point where it becomes every DISer for themselves. At that point you will be completing individual challenges in hopes to make it to the end as the ULTIMATE WPASADIan!

Fab- it's some sort of game they have done here before on the DIS, where teams compete in 'challenges' (what I don't know) and 4 teams a week are eliminated based on the judges scores. I signed up cause the grand prize is a week in WDW, with hotel at the Swan or Dolphin, 4 7 day park hoppers, gift certs to bluezoo and the Mandera spa! Plus lots of other prizes. And besides, I'm bored. This will be entertaining!

J&D- I'm so bummed we're not on the same team....oh well! Good luck!

Hi to everyone I'm forgetting  .

My reunion last night was a blast. There was only about 20-25 classmates there and it would have been nice to see more people but it was still fun catching up with some old friends. One guy from class ended up being a stripper and by the end of the night he started showing his craft :rolleyes1 :teeth: . Then someone else puked next to the bar :sad2: . It was interesting :rotfl: .

I guess I should go fold some laundry. TTYL

We just got back, okay I lied about just looking, this is what we got, we only paid $100 total for everything! The last picture is of Tess.

Nucpharm- 12 miles, wow! Olivia looks adorable in her French poodle outfit today. Thank you again.

Zalansky- I know you probably left by now, but I hope you have a great time.

BNB- I can’t believe Luke is talking already. Olivia babbles, but doesn’t say any words yet. Mostly it’s “dada dada dada”, but she doesn’t know what it means.

J&D- Yeah, Alice and I are your competition now! It would be great if one of us could win.

Val- LOL at the stripper classmate!

Icebrat- Good job with the shopping. Tess is so cute!

I found a couple of nice candles as I was unpacking things today, so the whole first floor smells like oranges now. Yum! Olivia has been on a nursing binge all day. I’ve been working on the Christmas decorations. Our tree looks so bare. I had way too many decorations for our three foot tree, but it looks like nothing on a ten footer. I realized that most of my decorations are the Disney Christmas village, which I haven’t set up yet. So much work left to do! OK, time to get back to some laundry right now. I’m trying to spread out today because I’m dreading going back to work tomorrow. :(

Icebrat - I suspect that you are already a better Mommy to Tess than she has ever had.

Your winter holidays just got a lot more special this year, I bet.

Well, we (I) spent the afternoon getting our tree up and decorated, and most of the other decor up. I didn't go to crazy with the decor since we won't actually be here for xmas. But I"m happy--if only I could find some of my xmas music--I think DH has hidden it, so he doesn't have to listen to it non-stop! :rotfl: Other than that it's been a quiet day around here.

icebrat--Score on the shopping! :thumbsup2 Shopping for those girls is sure fun!

diskim--I guess my thoughts on motivation is to have a partner to run/train with. DH and I are running together, most times. And then I'm part of a training group for the Little Rock marathon on the weekends. So on Sat. mornings I know there is a group of people waiting for me--so it helps me get out and on the road. Other than that, I really see it as a "break" for me from the kids. I can clear my head and enjoy nature while listening to something other than Dora or the Wiggles!

bnb--how cool that Luke said his first real word! Matthew still only says "UH OH" and then just babbles. I think he will be a late talker, since DD doesn't ever close her mouth for him to get any words in!

Well, I better go and see if Matthew has discovered the wonder of the xmas tree yet! I'll post some pics of my "decor" when I get a chance later--especially for Robin! ;)

Ice- looks like you got some great things for lil' Tess! She is a cutie.

Val- glad you had a good time at your reunion! although ew at the stripper and the barfer! :teeth:

GM- I bet your house smells yummy! I really like citrus scented candles, etc. I can't stand anything too flowery or musky. Citrus=fresh! You will have fun adding new ornaments every year to your tree. Don't worry if it's a bit bare this year! I supposed we could have a 10 foot tree in our house, but it would be scraping the ceiling!

BNB- you must have some big rec room for a tree that size! How tall are the ceilings? Wow!

We had a real 'fun' time this morning. We went to Linens N Things to look around and all 3 kids were just bratty. Joshua whining he wanted stuff (what, a tablecloth?!), Molly not wanting to sit in the cart, Sam trying to hide from Josh behind stacks of coffee makers. Ugh. You know what we got- a jar of Emeril's Essence! We're such big spenders! DH wants a juicer, so I will pick that up later for Christmas. Then we went to the mall, the one that's all torn up- I spied my former boss and her daughter, who happened to be my assistant (awkward situation at times), but I looked like a mess so I didn't want to say hi. I got pretzels and sodas with the kids while DH went to Verizon to replace my phone- I've had it forever and I knew I could get a free replacement. What a nightmare.....my kids were just SCARY. We didn't bring the stroller so Molly wanted to run around, Joshua let out the LOUDEST most RIPPING belch EVER after he has a few swigs of Sprite- I got a dirty look from one lady and a big guffaw laugh from a man. :confused3 I was trying not to laugh myself, but it sounded like it hurt his throat, it was THAT loud! Ok, so I had told DH we would meet him in the kid's section of Barnes and Noble- first we stop for potty- guess who spilled his Sprite all over? Yep, Josh. At least it was on the tile and not carpet, but then I am guarding it so people wouldn't slip in it until I could flag down an associate. Then we go to the kid's section and Josh runs to the 'stage' and starts singing and dancing- I was like, "You can dance, but no singing." Then Molly wanted to climb in the stacks of games they had artfully set up in a display! ARGH! Only Sam sat and looked at books- he decided he wants the Series of Unfortunate Events. Yay! I'm so excited he wants to kind of move up a level in the books her reads. I need to go buy him some at Costco now. :cheer2: Josh FINALLY sat down to listen to a Christmas book (while Molly walks around- any minute I knew I would have to jump up to stop her from taking 126 books of the shelves) and DH walks up. PHEW! Ever have mom experiences like this? I only relate it to you all, so you can get a laugh at my stress. I came home and seriously said to DH, "I'm sick of being a Mom!" I think it's cause the boys were home all week and the weather has been crummy so they haven't been able to ride bikes, etc.

Lord help me during Christmas break! They get 2.5 weeks off this year!

Anyway, hope everyone has a good evening. We are off to Chili's for dinner in 45 minutes. I can't decide- a salad???? or baby backs? Hmmmmmmmm....decisions, decisions........

Wow, you ladies sure do chat a lot, how will I ever keep up!

Diskim- Wow you only spend $160 per week for full time care, wow, that is a huge difference in what I told you the two day program was. If you don’t mind me asking, what state are you in? Hope you are able to finish decorating soon.

Robin, Ginamarie and JD - Congrats on making the Wpasadi team! :cheer2:

Dizagain - Since you’ve had Carson, how much has your laundry increased, I hate laundry so I think I need to prepare myself for a major increase in laundry.

Strawberry lemonade - If there isn’t a See’s in your area, I think you can order direct from the website.

Justine - I’m happy that you are feeling better. How's Madison and Henry? I told DP about Nick and how he goes every where and is in every picture at Disney, she though it was cute.

Buzznbell - I like the Heifer International gift idea, very nice.

Robin - What’s this about buying stuff for the “new momma”, do you collect a fund or something? And what’s this thing with, ‘you know who’ I am so confused. Happy to know that the PS2 will be fixed sooner rather than later, hope you get some peace and quiet for a bit, if that’s even possible. Wow, what an adventure in the mall, sounds like you have your own little series of unfortunate events going on. I hope things get easier for you, maybe a spa day is in order for you. Yum Chili’s, chicken crispers and a chicken sandwich with honey mustard, they have the best honey mustard sauce.

Bellacam - Congrats on Bailey, she looks so sweet, enjoy her while she’s small, they grow up so quick!. Lol at the See’s candy smack down, if that were me, I would’ve let him eat it and then buy ample replacements.

Gina Marie - Congrats on getting the decorations up. Your spanks giving meal sounds delish!Yum, citrus candles, I’m sure that smells lovely.

Floridafam - If you like See’s candy, which is very good, you might also enjoy Godiva, the chocolate is really reach and their truffles, omg to die for. I don’t even make it out of the mall when I buy their truffles. As far as See’s goes though, Robin gave you some very good recommendations, I like the turtles and this one that has peanut brittle and chocolate, I don’t remember the name, so many are so good.

Nucpharm- Holly Molie you ran 12 miles, wow, congrats, I’m impressed and to top it off you got the decorations up too, wow you are a super mom! Lol at “stealth santa” nice one.

Vald- Wow your reunion does sound a bit, interesting, but I’m happy you enjoyed it nonetheless.

Funny story, DP and I were at TRU looking around and I stopped in the baby doll section and I said look at this cute little doll, and she said, I don’t want to promote that, I had a blank stare on my face and said promote what, and she said her wanting to have kids, what if we buy her a doll that she gets super attached to and thinks that it’s her kid and when she is 13 decides she wants a real one. All I could do was look in amazement and contain the laughter within myself and walk away. Fun times! :lmao: :sad2:

Oh My!

What's Your Elf Name?

http://www.blogthings.com/elfnamegenerator/

Icebrat - Wow, that's a great haul for $100. Tess is just a little doll! She is going to look so cute in her new outfits! I live in NJ. My son goes to a state certified at home daycare. His babysitter watched my older son as well and she is wonderful!! I am very lucky to have found her. My best friend takes her daughter there too.

nucpharm - It would be nice if I had someone to work out with. It is impossible for me and DH to exercise together and none of my friends would be able to find someone to care for the kids while we went out to exercise. Basically, my only choice is to exercise at 9pm which is really tough when I get up at 5am every day.

Aidan is sooooooo sick! His temperature was up to 102. I don't know what to do about work tomorrow. My mom is off so she can watch him but all day I'm going to be thinking of my poor little boy and how much he needs his mommy. I'm planning on going but I really wish I didn't have to. I don't know what to do.

Would you ladies believe my DH is still putting up stinking decorations?! He has been at it for 3 days!! I don't know what the heck he is doing. Our tree is up and decorated. I didn't put out a lot of my stuff this year. I'm not feeling well myself and I was just sick of looking at some of the stuff. I threw out a lot. I have 2 trees that go on my front porch. I'm trying to decide if I want to put them out or not. Well, I have to go drag Emmy away from the Molly movie and get her to bed. Her birthday is tomorrow. I can't believe she is going to be 11!

ETA - I really think my elf name fits me. I can be rather ditzy and I'm always so busy that I'm always in a flurry. I like it :teeth: !

Hi, everyone!

I'm so glad to be home. It was not fun sleeping 3 nights on an air mattress. Our visit to the in-laws was an adventure. I'll spare you ALL of the details. My SIL and BIL were there with their 2 yr old and 6 mo old. Our parenting styles couldn't be more different, and that caused a lot of problems. The main problem was that we don't give Jenna sodas, tea, unlimited amounts of juice, gum, and various other types of junk food, nor do we allow her to play outside ALL DAY LONG and then come to the dinner table filthy. My nephew, who is only 4 months older than Jenna, can basically eat/drink and do whatever he wants whenever he wants to do it (and they wonder why he won't eat his dinner or fall asleep at night). Well, Jenna would get upset and pitch a fit if he could have a Coke and she couldn't, or if he could go outside and get FILTHY right before we had Thanksgiving dinner (it was such a joy to look across the dinner table and see a kid with dirt all over his face, body, and hands) and she couldn't, etc. If the tables were turned and I was upsetting my nephew by giving Jenna something that he couldn't have, then I wouldn't give it to her while he was around. My in-laws didn't seem to care, and that upset me. Anyway... thanks for letting me vent. Hope that didn't sound snarky.

Robin- Yes, I wish that we were on the same team. I did list the Rewards Board as one of my favorite boards on my application. The Rewards Board was my "home" before I became a member of this thread. There is/was a group of us there called the RP Bad Girls. I'll make you a member. You'll fit right in over there. Good luck!!!

For those of you who are interested, you can still sign up to be a WPASADI audience member. After you have signed up to participate in the audience, go to the audience thread and post that you want to be a cheerleader for the Sub Community, Rewards & Rumors, and Restaurants Teams!

I've been getting to know my WPASADI team today, so I've fallen behind with this thread. I really want to catch up with everyone, but I am really tired and need to go to bed.
