What the he** am I doing? For the heck of it, I joined this WPASADI game- and I got on a team! I hope it will be fun! The anal retent in my is already chomping at the bit- what is the game? What do we do? Who the heck are these people that are my teammates? What if they're flakey? Will I get the boot first round? What if they hate me? :rotfl: :rotfl: I think I saw GinaMarie and J&D's names on other teams- good luck ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Hi Again...DH has Carson rocking while watching "The Wedding Singer" for the umpteenth time.

icebrat - Well, it sounds like you have made the big decision! How exciting for the three of you! Yeah, no "PDA" allowed in your home - didn't you know that? Good luck decorating - sounds like you have a plan!
Oh - thanks for the Gain tip - I can use that!!

robin - that is TOO GROSS...however did you manage to change him without gagging? Way too yucky to be doing that for someone else's 4 year old!!!

fab - My girls are the queens of eczema - they both get the thigh chafing and Hayley gets it in her inner elbows while Hannah gets it on her arms and neck. They have found that creams make them crazy and they also say they "sting". They like this female powder -Monistat Medicated Soothing Powder. They usually put it on at night and it heals the areas - at least for awhile - and it never stings.

diskim - Just a long-shot, but when I bring the Christmas stuff out every year, I get all sneezy and watery for a few days until I adjust. Maybe that's what is up with Emily? Oh gosh, I just read Robin's post while scrolling...great minds...

Well, gonna go switch out yet another load of laundry. Hayley left for a sleepover and Hannah's watching the movie with DH. The AG movie, "Molly" is on tommorrow night!!!!!!! I just love those movies!

Oh - thanks for the tips on fixing my ho!!! I'll get Hayley right on it tomorrow! And, B&B, we'll try fixing my photo thing too!

Wow, you ladies are so darn smart. It never registered in my brain that the dust from all the Christmas stuff must be getting to Emily. That is probably what it is. I gave her some Claritin and she is doing a little better.

Robin - I'll forward you the pm I had from Justhat with the gymbo code. I used it on Friday. I have no idea whether or not they can be used more than once.

Robin, I sent you a PM. I feel better today but have been out all day and trying to get the Christmas stuff up since we've been home so I will have to come back later to catch up.

BTW, BnB, I could have killed you when I read your theory on why I was sick! I actually instantly had that fear but it went away when I realized it was impossible. Well, pretty impossible anyway....

:cool1: Thanks Justine- you helped me be able to buy more for our momma. It's bought, and I think we 'did good'.

And speaking of our Momma- Hey, Gems, can you PM me your address so we can shower you with a baby gift for Mr. Flumpy?

I finally got out of the house and took Sam to Target to exchange a gift- there was nothin' left! he did find what he wanted though, and I got a couple things for my not so secret pal. :rotfl: :rolleyes1 I will probably be doing a hefty visit to the post office later this week.

Oh, good news, I talked with Sony again, and I just printed off a copy of my AMEX statement from August, answered a bunch of questions and have to ship off my PS2 to be REPLACED for FREE. He said the whole thing should only take 7-10 business days. PHEW! I really wanted to have it back in time for Christmas break. Mom needs some sanity time too you know!

Nightie-night all! This momma needs a glass of wine and a shower.

Whatever could you mean Justine?

We have husbands working all the time . . .

4 month olds sleeping (please god!) in the middle of our beds . ..

and feel like we're getting the flu (or perhaps just a really bad cold) most of the time . . ..

I feel romance in the air!

:lmao:

Holy moley, I made it onto WPASADI! I forgot they were even picking teams tonight. I'll check back in later. Just wanted to say OMG WPASADI!

Fabumouse you totally cracked me up!

Madison is still up so I have to go cause it's definitely time for bed and she's freaking out.

Could you be our WPA . . . whatever, Mole?

I have no idea what that is.

Hi mommies! I have just a quick second but I wanted to say thanks again because yesterday we received another package from the Dis Mommies. I have never had See's candy before and let me tell you, I now know what I am missing. Those chocolates were fantastic. DH and I have already eaten the entire box. I really appreciate you all thinking of us and for being so thoughtful. You are one terrific group of women. I am going to try and get some rest but I hope to be able to start posting again on a more regular basis soon. We are all doing well adjusting to our new family. Bailey is a dream baby and a champion nurser so that helps. Goodnight and thanks again!

And that makes all the difference!! :goodvibes

Yay for Bailey and for you.

Diskim- DH brought all our Christmas stuff from my grandparents’ house on Thursday. It’s all around the tree now, in boxes, looking less than festive. I was going to decorate everything tomorrow, but my mom got called into work a little while ago for the day shift (she was on call), so I’ll have the monsters—I mean my little siblings.

BNB- DBro also thinks it’s Christmas already. I bought him a couple of small things at BJs but told him that he has to wait until Christmas to get them. He keeps saying “it IS Christmas, right mom, right Ginamarie, right grandma, it’s Christmas right?” Poor kid.

Lissawynn- That’s quite a hall of gymbo stuff. I can’t help thinking what it would look like if that woman on line in front of you took pictures of all the clothes she bought.

Dizagain- that commercial sounds just awful. Cute pictures!

Floridafam- I’m glad Kona is doing better.

Alice- I don’t understand how someone could fail to potty train a FOUR year old. I know I get a little over the top about getting kids started early, but seriously, a four year old has more than adequate mental and physical capacity to be potty trained!!!

Icebrat- February will be here before you know it. I hope the adoption process goes relatively smoothly, because things will be much easier for you guys when the adoption thing is finalized.

OK, I’m starting to come down from the high of getting picked for WPASADI. Things were so busy today that I completely forgot they would be picking the teams. Spanksgiving was a LOT of work, and I made too much food, but gosh it was so good. The fully organic ridiculously expensive fresh turkey was really good, though I’m glad we didn’t pay full price for it. We had cold cuts, fresh mozzarella and cheeses for antipasta. Then we had pasta and this incredible Italian bean soup. I can’t wait to be eating the leftovers of that. Next was the big course, turkey, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, creamed spinach, mushrooms, stuffing, hot cinnamon apples, and homemade gravy. For dessert we had pumpkin bread (thanks nucpharm!), citrus pound cake, spice cake, hot chocolate cake, and pecan pie along with roasted chestnuts and fruits. I took lots of pictures, though you guys know how far behind I fall with these things. You probably won’t see any until new years! I was please with everything though, and no one went home hungry at all, even though I sent people all out with leftovers.

The living room, which was getting close to being finished organizationwise is now filled with Christmas stuff. DH is watching the hockey game (and the Islanders are winning) so he’s in a good mood. Everything was just too good today. I’m afraid I’m going to wake up tomorrow to complete chaos.

Diz- I meant to say earlier that Carson is a DOLL!!!!!!!!!! Love his little sweet smile!

I bought her 3 outfits and a famous Gymboree blankie! I LOVE THEIR BLANKIES! 1 outfit is the racoon line with a romper, socks and a hat- that is in 0-3 months. 2 outfits I bought for next year as I am not sure how much little stuff she has- another is in the racoon line- the green pants and the cute embroidered long sleeved onesie. Then the blue Walrus fishing velous romper with matching socks of course! And the racoon blankie. I will also buy a card to include. I think we seriously got about $130+ worth of Gymbo for a little under $60. If there is extra money leftover, I will of course have to include some See's chocolates! It's becoming my 'thing.'

Okay, I need some Sees. What are the best ones to get? Every time Robin or someone posts about it, my mouth starts watering.

So, fill me in on the good ones. I did look on their website but I don't know what to order.

:thumbsup2

YOU HAVE to get the Molasses Chips. They are sooooo yummy. They have been my favorite ever since I can remember....so we're talking 29-30 years?

I also like in no particular order: Dark Nougat (like a Mars bar, but 10xs better), Scotchmellow (caramel, marshmellow covered in chocolate), Bordeaux, the chocolate covered peanut brittle is evilly good.....there is another one that's a milk choco covered caramel with almonds in it. Basically, give me caramel, chocolate and nuts and I'm happy.

Their English Toffee is *killer* too.

I'm always happy to switch people to See's. As their stores say, "It's a Happy Habit." No kidding!

Lordy, Lordy--you women were busy today! I had to catch up on 2 pages and I think I checked in this morning!

Well, I ran 12 miles this morning---the last 2 were dreadful, but I made it through. But in the back of my mind, I was just thinking how to run a full marathon would be another 14 miles--was the human body ever meant to do this??? I think I must be related to the Marquis de Sade somewhere down the line! :rotfl:

We also got our outside xmas decor up today-minus my wreath for the door--unfortunately the hanger I used at our other house doesn't work here, so back to the store for me. And Robin, I'm so glad you got a kick out of me putting up decor so early--a neighbor of ours had his lights up a month ago--imagine!

WEll, I guess I better head to bed, I'm exhausted. Dh and I played "stealth Santa" with Emma today at Walmart. I had her point out exactly what Ariel doll that Santa was bringing for her. Then DH took the kids to a different part of the store, I bought it and took it to the car--she's nothing the wiser! What a great parent I am! Buying the affection of my children! :rotfl: Okay, so really, off to bed with me! Chat tomorrow!

These almost caused a Smackdown in our house. DH went for this immediatley and I just about knocked it out of his hand to get to it.
Seriously, this was the best candy I have ever had.

Good Morning ladies, and congrats on getting your decorations up, I put some lights up outside yesterday, and the small tree, I'm shocked that the cats haven't attempted to climb it.

Now the DP is home, granted sick, we are off to go shopping, I doubt we will buy anything, more so to look. There is an outlet about 30 minutes away from the house and they have a gymboree outlet, childrens place outlet, oskgosh b'gosh, gap outlet, carters, striderite and a thousand others, so in the future if any of you want me to pick up anything for you, i'll be more than happy to :)

Morning :goodvibes We leave for Disney today! WOO HOO! Though that happens often here it is still very exciting! We have ressies at Wolfgang Pucks tonight and then Le Cellier tomorrow with the Candlelight Processional - John O'Hurley is the speaker. That is DH's favorite event - NOT. He gives me grief every year now about this but deep down I think he likes it. Anyway I am very excited.

Icebrat - I love seeing your posts and how excited you are about the little one coming to live with you! It is so sweet. Have fun today at the outlets, shopping for little girls is so much fun.

Robin - thanks for shopping for Flumpy! You done good! :thumbsup2 And I saw a See's candy kiosk at the mall yesterday and thought of you! I still have not tried them.

Robin & FF - did you get my transfers? Want to be sure.

FF - hope Kona is feeling better today! :goodvibes

Gina - I don't know if I should even ask about the WPSADI or however you spell it. I've never looked into it.....is it fun?

Congrats to you all who got your decoartions up this weekend. We usually do but had too much to do for today and also visiting Dad. It better happen next weekend! Though I have to say I am nervous about the baby around the tree. She gets into EVERYTHING and I am worried the tree will topple down on her.

Well, we're off after lunch. Hopefully we can check in early - though unlikely. I will try and check in from there, if DH can find an unsecure link through his laptop from our room.

If not see you when I get back. Have a great day ladies! :wave2:

Robin - The gift sounds great! Thanks so much for coordinating everything. You ladies are really tempting me with all this talk of See's. I've never tried it before but I have PMS and this chocolate discussion is not helping!

nucpharm - 12 miles! Wow! I've never run 12 miles in my life. Keep telling me about it because I need the inspiration. I might just start moving my behind a little. My problem is between work and the kids, I just can't seem to make time for myself. I used to be in great shape before I got pregnant with Aidan. I would have to get new sneakers first. Mine give me blisters!

z - Have fun in Disney! I can't wait to hear all about it. I've never been to Disney at this time of year. I'm sure it must be beautiful!

icebrat - Have fun shopping today!

bellacam - I'm glad to hear that Bailey is such a good baby. I hope you get some rest.

gm - Your meal sounds delicious! I think you outdid me in the overcooking department!

Well, I'm still trying to figure out if Emmy is sick. She threw up last night but that could have just been triggered by the coughing. She has no fever. Aidan, on the other hand, has a fever now and just won't eat. He has been lying around like a little lump. The motrin seems to be making him feel a little better now though. So, it looks like our plans for today are not going to happen. We were going to go to IL's and decorate their house for them. I was looking forward to spreading a little holiday cheer, but we'll have to spread it next weekend instead.

OK, gotta go try and clean up the boxes from the decorations. Maybe we'll be finished with our decorating by New Year's. I bought one of those inflatables this year and I really hate it. I've never like those things but I thought the kids would just love the carousel one so I got it. I think it looks so ugly. It plays music too and DH had it blasting yesterday. I felt like my house looked and sounded like a Christmas theme park. It's almost embarassing.
