I woke up at the crack of dawn because of the garbage truck. Why they can't come to my neighborhood later than 6:30 I don't know. I got my pictures back yesterday and they didn't charge full price and they came out pretty good for the most part. I also stopped at a scrapbooking store and picked up a few more Disney stickers so I'm all set for tomorrow.

Gem - Those pictures are amazing!

dizagain - I hope you can get Carson's laryngitis figured out.

zalansky - Congrats on the decision to put your house for sale.

Alice28 - Hope you can get that weekend away with DH.

DisKim - Sorry the school administration is giving you teachers a hard time.

lissawynn - Did you get all the stuff for your costume?

Tasha - Glad you got your insurance issue straightened out.

Ginamarie - We have a "fake" holiday dinner too, but it's Christmas. My mom has a Christmas dinner at her house a week before for her side of the family. "Real" Christmas Eve is now spent with DH's family and Christmas Day with my father's side. It got too hectic running around to everyone's house all in 2 days.

hillbeans - Your ob/gyn sounds like a great person. I hope he enjoys his semi-retirement.

staci - LOL about the kids in the bar!

I've got to run. Talk to you all later!

Hi mommies! I am officially in trouble with my Dr! As I mentioned I had that cold and through out it's course I had several dizzy spells I just attributed to blowing my nose 24 hrs a day and being miserable in general. Turns out I have developed Hypertension. That along with the babys weight, 7.5 lbs at yesterdays visit, and only being 34 weeks 3 days, got me a ticket to High Risk status! I have to check my BP every two hours, we have to have another u/s and I have to keep sampling my urine for protein. Not fun and definatley not what I was expecting. I feel really stupid about not paying attention to the dizzy spells and would not have said anything but my BP was really high at yesterdays appointment and the nurse got the Dr in right away. So for now looks like they will test the baby for maturity at 37 weeks and if all is ok, we'll have our little one sooner than expected. I may not be posting that much, but I'll try to keep up and let you all know whats up. We haven't really prepared for the baby at all and need to get it together ASAP. My sister came over last night and until she mentioned it, I never even thought about needing newborn size diapers or getting out the smaller bottles! Needless to say, I have a busy couple of weeks ahead.

I do want to wish John a very Happy 1st Birthday. party: I can't believe he's already about to turn 1!!!!

I'll keep in touch as much as I can and a Happy Halloween everyone!

I'm at school but I have a few min. so I am killing time on this thread. (Gee, I might not have as much out-of-class work if I used my time more wisely while I have free time here but oh, well! A girl needs a break sometimes, right?)

staci~ I am majoring in Health Information Management. I am earning my 2 year degree on campus but the 4 year degree isn't offered in my area so I will be doing that through distance learning if I decide to do that one. It is a very detailed major. I truly think I am learning more about the healthcare field than I did when I majored in Nursing which really surprised me! I will be more behind the scenes than I will be actually dealing with patients but I still have to know all of the medical jargon, procedures, tests, treatments, diseases...basically anything medically related. I did not enjoy nursing and thought this would be a better fit for me and so far it is. I like the organizational and non-patient related aspect better.

DisKim~ I wish I got to sleep in! Thankfully, I only have to attend classes on campus on Tues. and Thurs. this semester. That will change eventually but for now it really helps. I have to be up by 6:30 on those days. I average about 3-5 hours of sleep depending on what I need to do (and how much time I inadvertently waste). I am supposed to be there until 3 in the afternoon but I'll admit that on the days I get out of classes early I do go home and take a nap before I pick Kylie up. And on days I don't have classes I sleep until Kylie wakes up which is usually between 7:30 and 8:30.

Bridget~ I am glad your dr. caught the hypertension before it became more serious. Good luck with these final weeks!

I do have to say one thing in Kylie's daycare's defense. The deal with the shot records was technically not their fault. They are pulling out the necessary forms/information from her file from her old daycare. So if that form was missing it is most likely due to her old daycare "misplacing" it. Either way, it was still annoying having to redo everything 3 times this year! I handed the shot record to the director in person this morning. I also handed her Kylie's tuition money in person since I don't trust the teachers to see that she gets it after the deal with her application. Hopefully things are usually better than this and it was just one of those one-time flukes.

Okay, well, I need to go. Bye!

Bellacam--Crossing my fingers that everything is okay! Take care of yourself and that little one--Keep us updated!

Gems--those pics of Flumpy are absolutely wonderful!!!! I had a 4d scan done, but it was earlier on and the baby didn't have enough fat yet to make the scan any better than the regular one. How awesome for you!

z--Good luck with listing your house--maybe by the first of the year the housing market will pick up. It seems like 1/2 the house on our street are for sale, and nothing is moving. I'm anxiously awaiting our neighbors, but it doesn't seem like anyone is wanting to buy around us

Tasha--I always seem to tell myself that this house would be so much more clean if I would just get off the computer to do it--but what can I say, housework,or chatting with my mommy friends--not a hard choice there! Sorry to hear about the confusion at the daycare!

SL--glad to hear that you got your pictures! Good luck with the scrapbooking. I thin we are going to have a "fake" Christmas here as well. This year is xmas in Ohio, so we'll be gone from the 22nd into the new year with DH's parents. So, before we leave, we'll probably do the christmas thing with my parents and sister here. That way we're not having to lug gifts all the way to Ohio, just to bring them back here

Well, as soon as my little man is finished with his lunch, we are off to Party City. I need to get the party stuff for Matthew's bday party next Sat. I've really procrastinated on this! Good thing it's only going to be family and one other boy and his parents--I had all this stuff picked out at Birthdayexpress. com and then noticed that it wouldn't be delivered in time for the party unless I spent $20 to ship it--oh well! I'm sure Party City will have Thomas the Tank engine stuff. Chat later! Oh, I did get some of my training done last night (it will take me forever to finish)--but I forgot how much I really like my profession as a pharmacist--maybe if they open a location here in my town I'll work a little more--we'll see!

Bellacam- Oh, how scary! I hope the hypertension can stay under control; do you have help around the house and with Aidan right now? I wish I could go run errands for you and grab diapers, bottles, etc so you don't need to worry about it. But you can't get too much further away than Oregon from Maine! :rotfl: I hope your sister or DH can do that kind of stuff for you- take it EASY!

I'm sorry I don't have time to post much else; I went to Costco AND the grocery store with Molly and I'm pooped. I still have to go back to Costco on Saturday AM to grab the flowers and cake, and a food item for the house I forgot. Molly fell asleep on the way home, at 12:30, and she just woke up 10-15 minutes ago. Sigh- that means a whole 1 hour nap, and she usually does a 2.5-3 hour nap. Not good. I still wanted to work out. I did get the living room mostly picked up.

She's laughing at the TV right now at that Elmo's Tool Bench- that looks like such a neat toy! Jimmy will love it Alisa....

Hi Everyone,

Loretta - Congrats on deciding to sell your house! I remember how crazy it got with us cleaning and fixing things around the house before we sold. Have you decided where you are planning on moving? Are you still thinking about NC or are you going to stay in Florida? What does your FIL say about you moving away? How about MIL??
I did watch Breaking Bonaduce once or twice - he is crazy and his wife is a nut for hanging around. I could never be with someone who is so angry at life all the time.

Nucpharm - glad to hear that your job is going well!! :thumbsup2 I know they have Thomas Birthday items at Party City. They use to be a lot harder to find than they are now. I can't believe Matthew is going to be 1 already!

Bellacam - hope you're feeling better!

Tasha - Are you a registered Nurse or did you just take nursing classes? Glad that you like what you're doing now in school. I don't know how you stay up until 1 am - YIKES! You go girl!! :thumbsup2

Diskim - I am so sorry to hear what's going on at your job. Hugs! :grouphug:

SL/Ginamarie - we are going to do a "fake" christmas this year on the 23rd with my family. I don't mind seeing the family then as long as me, DH and the kids can sit around all day on the 25th in our pj's and eat and put together toys. Sorry to hear the scrapbooking isn't going as well as you had wanted.

Staci - It's so funny you mention that because a few weeks ago my girlfriend and I were desperate for a "girls night out" with no kids, so we went to a Hibachi place and Yep - we were sat at a table with 2 adults and 5 kids! We just looked at each other and laughed.

Gotta run, more later!

UGH!!!! I just went all over town looking for Thomas birthday stuff. We got to Party City (which was a mistake first of all b/c it's so close to Halloween) and all they had of the Thomas stuff were plates and napkins. So, I got that and a bday crown and tshirt for the bday boy. So, then I called my sis and asked her to look in the phone book for other party supply stores--how can a city the size of LR only have a couple??? Anyway, then after hitting, Trademarks (local store), Hobby Lobby, Mardels, garden Ridge, and the finally ToysRUs I finally got most of what I wanted. But now I'm worn out--both kids are asleep in the van, so I just left them there, opened hte door and shut the garage door. No sense in waking them up quite yet! Well, I think I spoke to soon! Chat later!

Good evening ladies! :sunny:

I can only be on here a minute, but I wanted to let Bellacam know that I am thinking of her! You all will be in my prayers! :grouphug:

Welcome to all the new moms too! You will love this thread! :goodvibes

Nucpharm - Have you started your new job yet?

DisKim - Sorry to hear that school is awful. The administrators sound pretty crazy.

Gems - Those u/s pictures are so wonderful! I can't believe that you will have a little one in a few short months!

Dizagain - You and your dh will be in my prayers too! I hope the job situation works out ok.

Cabmom - I love your family portraits!

SL - I need to go check out your trip report!! :thumbsup2

Life is still hectic here. I fell down the stairs today while carrying John! Ugh. Thankfully, we were both ok. A little shaken up but ok. My ankle is still bad and it gave out on me. I am the most accident prone person around.

Yesterday, I took both girls for their dental check up and was told that they need braces now. Can you say CHA-CHING! :teeth: We've got an appointment with the orthodontist next month and I asked them if they have payment plans since I hear that braces are quite expensive.

I better run! I've got to be at school tomorrow bright and early and I also need to pick up some more stuff for John's birthday. :teeth:

Hi to Robin, Justhat, Hillbeans, Ginamarie, Lissawynn, GLT, Fabumouse, Staci, Tamie, Val, Zalansky, BNBmom, Joats, J&D, Floridafam, DisneyPhd, Gretchen, Tasha, Ryan840 and everyone! I miss you guys! :wave2:

ETA: I forgot to wish Robin well with the baby shower she is hosting this weekend! :wizard: I bet the shower will be beautiful!!! I can't wait to hear how it went.

Also - BNBmom, Luke sounds like such a cutie with doing the 'commando crawl'! I wish I could say that John is crawling, but he doesn't yet. He still likes to roll around to get places.

Hi ladies!

I survived the holiday portrait session. My mother came to help me and asked me why I torture myself. Aidan has got to be the WORST child when it comes to taking pictures. He freaks out. I have no idea how, but the wonderful photographer we had did a great job. I could not believe that she got some smiles out of him. BTW, he and Alex wore the Gymbo train sweaters. I got Aidan the matching hat. What a joke. He kept ripping it off his head.

Jill - Welcome to the club. Emmy is in braces now and Alex will be next. The cost here is 5K. That's it though. That takes care of braces, all the tightenings, the retainer, etc. We are lucky that we have such good insurance. We only paid 1500 out of that.

Well, I have to go reread Frankenstein in preparation for my senior class tomorrow.

Hey guys!

Well, I called the nurse about my little "froggy" boy. She really wanted him to come in for an exam even though he had no symptoms of anything else so we took him on in. He was happy as a clam at the Dr. ( I think it was cause he got to be naked for awhile which he LOVES :) ) and wouldn't even cry when she tried to make him! SO, even though she never heard his voice, everything else checked out fine, so it's just laryngitis. Yay!

Hayley just got through throwing the biggest baby fit over having to wash the dishes...there was a lasagna pan to be rinsed out and she felt she should not have to do it. Sadly, while she's screaming and yelling, we just kept laughing because unlike her sister, she NEVER does this. Quite a show! ;)

Diskim - glad you got some good pics even though it was difficult! My girls have both had the expansion and braces and now they both need their braces again to complete the job. We've used the insurance allowance already so it will be $5,000 a pop. We'll start Hayley as soon as we settle somewhere for good, hopefully soon. What a pain!

jill - Omgosh - I'm so glad you and John are ok!!! That is my biggest fear of all and I don't even have a bad ankle. I've never had a baby in a 2-story before and I'm like a little old lady with him on the stairs! Good luck with the braces...they're crazy expensive but they will work with you. They'll present you with a "plan" that usually requires a pretty big chunk up front and then monthly payments, but if you ask they can adjust it.

nucpharm - Glad you finally found the Thomas stuff - sounds so cute!

bellacam - Take care!!! I was put on bed rest for the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy with Hayley for the same reason. Good luck for a healthy and strong rest of your pregnancy!! Someone mentioned you live in Maine...my sister lives in Bar Harbor and we were there in July - LOVE IT up there!!!

staci - hope your dh is ok! Ouch!

ginamarie - you're cooking Thanksgiving for your entire family???? :worship: We had our first T'giving alone last year and DH did the turkey and I did the other stuff. I've never done any of it before that...you're amazing!

Oooohhh...major spit-up all over Daddy!!! Gotta go give someone a bath. That sounds funny...no, not DH ;) - not time for THAT , I mean Carson of course!!! Hey to all the wonderful mommies!

What a crazy day. I feel like I have been running in 7 different directions and I seriously am not sure how I will get my downstairs 100% in order before the party. My kids seem to make a new mess approximately every 4.25 minutes.

I do have some positive news- I can finally go get that HSG test to make sure my tubes are blocked. I still haven't gotten Aunt Flo, but I emailed my doctor and said the Depo has screwed me up period wise, but I want to know if the Essure worked- can I still do the test? So I just need to go to the hospital's lab on Sunday and do a urine pregnancy test to rule that out, and then my HSG is on Weds.

Jill- I have tripped and fallen down the stairs too- with Sam when was 4 months or so. It was HORRIBLE and scary. I dropped him about 5 stairs down. Not to mention blowing my knee out for the 3rd time. I am so sorry your ankle is still not healing. :guilty: Hopefully the braces will all work out monetarily.

Ooops- gotta go- DH is home!

Hey Gals!!

I've been trying to catch up, but I've been so swamped .. .

And good lord, now it's bedtime and the baby is crying.

Ugh!!!

Hello Mommies.

I have no time now (or lately is seems) but wanted to wish good thoughts and prayers to Bellacam :grouphug: :wizard:

and

Happy birthday John -- jill have fun celebrating your baby's b'day this weekend. The time does fly! :bday: :cake:

Robin - good luck with the party -- I bet my kids are making messes faster than yours :lmao: :rotfl: I feel like I can't keep up with their messes either. Good luck (and thank you).

nucpharm - I'm out of touch, is Mathew's b'day this weekend? Nevermind, next weekend, just spotted it!

Hello everyone.

Take care ladies. Night

Good morning all! TGIF, except Jocelyn has a middle school dance tonight (this is much more anxiety-ridden for me than for her, trust me!). Also, things are going nuts for DH at work, so they want him in 8 hours each on Sat. and Sun., not to be confused with the 12 hours they wanted him each day last weekend. At least he's paid overtime, which is unusual for engineers.

bellacam--hang in there, and try to take things easy! I had pregnancy-induced hypertension, and it's serious, but hopefully shouldn't affect the baby. Try to rest as much as you can.

Jill--Welcome to the "braces" club! My older two don't have them yet, but the orthodontist looks in their mouths and thinks, "Gee, do I want a red Porsche, or a blue one?" They've both had extractions and palate expanders, to prepare them for braces in a couple years. Their teeth are huge but strong, and late to come in, which is good because the teeth are stronger that way, andthe kid grows to make more room for them. Still, we're looking at a lot of $$. Our insurance pays half. Celeste's baby teeth look smaller than the older two--here's hoping! I hope your ankle heals.

Robin--Wow, 4.25 minutes betwen messes--what a luxury! :lmao: Most days I look around my family room and wonder why I bother! Maybe I should jsut randomly throw toys on the floor myself, just to have the satisfaction of having made the mess before I clean up the mess.

dizagain--Good thing it wasn't anything serious with :"frog boy". I swear, nonverbal children need little indicators on when they have something serious or not--you know, the light turns yellow when they have a head or tummy ache, goes to red for a high fever, that sort of thing. Hmm, if I could design something like that, I'd be a gazillionaire (and take the whole gang of us to WDW! I'll have to get right on this!)

Don't you just love when little girls act like they were born to royalty and then switched at birth? You know, when Hayley's "real" parents find you, you're going to be in BIG trouble!

Hi to everyone else--I have to get my kitchen swept before Luke wakes up, or there's no point.

Happy 1st Birthday, John! :bday: party:

Tasha - I don't blame you for getting in all the sleep you can, while you can.

nucpharm - Glad you got all the stuff for Matthew's party. I would have thought Thomas would be popular enough for you to get everything at one place.

llij - That fall must have been scary. My BIL fell down some stair with one of my nephews but no one was hurt. He left a nice dent in the wall, though. Better that than one of the kids.

DisKim - Sorry your portrait session didn't go smoothly. I hope we can see the results!

dizagain - Glad it's just laryngitis and not anything more serious. Does Carson have to take anything for it?

Alice28 - Good luck with the procedure. I hope everything is blocked as it should be.

BnB - LOL about the Porche. I'm sure my orthodontist said the same thing - me and my sister both had braces. I desperately needed them or I would have had teeth growing out the side of my head. DH never had them...here's hoping Lucas takes after him!

:wave2: to all the other moms!

Tonight's my scrapbooking night that I've been looking forward to. Other than that, we don't have any weekend plans. Anyone doing anything fun?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN!!!! :sunny: :cake: :bday:
I can't believe he's 1 today! Wow, this year sure has gone fast!

I'm so sorry you fell down the stairs carrying him - that has got to be one of my biggest fears. Glad everyone is ok!
You sure can't catch a break these days. Try not to worry too much about John and the crawling - Kevin never crawled and didn't walk until he was 16.5 months. He used to roll around on the floor back and forth too.

Buzznbelle - LOL about the Porsche comment. I never had braces, but I kind of wish I did because my teeth are pretty straight but not straight like they would have been with Braces. I had a retainer but I had to be the worlds worst patient with the goopy teeth molds. I like the dentist 10 times more than I ever liked the orthodontist. I can't wait for my kids to go - i'd better start saving now.

Alice - Good luck with your HSG test. I'm going to check into that Essure procedure next month at my annual exam as well as get some information about tubal's.

Dizagain - Glad everything is ok with your son and his throat!! :teeth:

Diskim - Can't wait to see your portraits!!!!

We are supposed to have Soccer tomorrow but they are predicting a terrible rainstorm. Kevin is going to Gymnastics tomorrow with my nieces. He talks about "tumblesaults" all the time and is dying to go and try it out. I figure he may be the only boy there but who cares - if he likes it and has fun so be it. Other than that, I wanted to go to to the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, but we'll have to see about the weather.

Other than that, the only news in my house is that we had the kitten spayed yesterday. Poor thing has the big cone around her head and both kids are desperate to get at her.

Well, have a good one everybody!

:cheer2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN! :cheer2: :woohoo:
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hi everyone!

We're heading off to The Great Wolf Lodge this afternoon. I'll let you know what we think of it when we get back.

Marilynn

Happy 1st Birthday John!

You are a very special little boy! :bday: :rainbow:

I just can't seem to catch a long enough break to properly catch up with the thread the last few days. And once again I need to get off my butt and clean.

Hey moms!

I have to do laundry before I can post (my little agreement with myself, otherwise my basement will continue to smell like urine - Kailey is back to peeing the bed regularly :crazy2: )

Anyhooooo

I have a 25% off Gymboree code for regular priced items that I don't need.

It's only good for TODAY, Friday the 27th.

The first person to PM me can have it.

You know you want it!

Say, for those holiday dresses you've been eyeing . ...

matching tights and pearls . . .
