The Official New Mom Thread Part 2

BnB, I just saw your post and Madison has the Know Your Name Pooh and he loves to say "Madison likes oatmeal. Elmo does too" while we're all sleeping. Well all but me cause I hear him and wake up! I thought it was defective but I guess not if yours does it too. Maybe I should smarten up and move him out of the bedroom! And we also have the Elmo that dances and sings the song "Shout" (and every other Elmo ever made). Well Madison learned the phrase "Shut up" from my mom who constantly tells her dogs to shut up. Well Madison said it a couple of times and got in trouble, so she abbreviated it to just "shut" as though I'd allow that. Well, that was vetoed too, but she still tries to say it once and awhile. Unfortunately she "found" Shout Elmo at the bottom of the toybox this weekend and he has been on nonstop since then. Well yesterday she was angry about something all yelled "Shut" and when I told her we don't say that she said to me "Mommy, Elmo says 'shut'!" So all this time she's been thinking that he's singing and dancing about saying shut up, not shout. Crazy kid.

Add us to the list of people who will be getting a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse toy. Madison lives and breathes that show. It's like they have subliminal messages in it that keep kids watching.

DisKim, lots of prayers for your aunt. I hope it is just an infection that she has or nothing that is too serious anyway. I will be praying that it's not cancer.

Justhat- I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing you haven't lost the last 10 pounds cause you're still nursing! No matter what other ladies said, I could NEVER lose the last ten pounds until my kids were weaned and then I worked my A$$ off trying to lose some weight. And I usually would lose 20 pounds within the first 3 weeks of giving birth, so I would be feeling all that and a bag of chips, (I didn't gain more than 35 with any of them- 35# with Sam, 25# with Josh, 20 with Molly), and then the rest of the weight would never come back off, and WORSE I would gain about 5-10 pounds within a year. I just weighed myself for the first time since July. I've gained 3 pounds. Nice. I am fully dressed and just ate lunch though. Yeah, that's it! How can I be exercising like a fiend and not lose anything? I'm blaming the Depo still.

Oh, I meant to share this small piece of good news- the check engine light went off in the Outback. Phew. DH is listing it today. Come on, big bucks, big bucks NO whammies! And our ice maker mysteriously started churning out ice again. Weird. :confused3

Kim- I am so sorry to hear the news about your Aunt. I will be praying for her and that it is NOT NOT NOT cancer. :guilty:

BNB- Total LOL about Robert shuffling cross the house with his pants down to his ankles cause that happens here too! :rotfl2: So funny! So far the boys haven't tried that trick at school.

And yes, I am grateful for the home we already have. DH loved the other house more than I did, but if we're going to go thru the trouble to move, I want the house to WOW me. This house just didn't quite have it. Certainly roomier, but some things were just done on the cheap, while other things were very nice. I couldn't move past the cheap part. Oh, and the narrow, steep stairs- not only were they narrow and steep, they did a switchback, so how the heck one is supposed to get any furniture up there besides a nightstand and some pillows is beyond me....windows would have to be taken out.

Molly, knock wood, I think actually went down for her nap today. I was one grouchy momma by about 5 yesterday. I need just an hour daily of quiet or I get irritable, KWIM?

SL- I think I want the Mickey Mouse stuff for me. ;) I bought a castle, oh, 8-9 years ago at Costco that was Disneyland's castle and had little teacups and a toontown station, little princessed and Mickey/Minnie. I slowly lost all the parts after letting the boys play with it when they got older. That thing was so cute! I might try and track down the Mickey Mouse stuff- we have a couple of Gigantic WalMarts around here, and my BIL works at a Target. I might ask him to keep an eye out for it, if he can remember. He called my MIL today suggesting she grab an Elmo for Molly as they were flying off the shelves! So MIL is going to try and do that.

Oh no....I think I just heard a "MOMMY" from upstairs.... :sad2: I spoke too soon.

Hi - quiet moment. Carson had his 1-month check-up today and I didn't know he needed a shot so I wasn't prepared. Oh well - he did fine after he got over his initial anger. He weighs just a smidge over 10 pounds (was 7.9 at birth) and has grown two inches. Well, according to the ped., anyway. At birth they said he was 21 inches, but at the doctor three days later they measured 19 1/2... :confused3 SO we have to go with that and so now they say he's 21 1/2. Can't believe how fast they grow!

Well, I'm slightly - ok VERY - ticked with DH. He has been pulling this crazy crap lately where he constantly thinks I think he doesn't do enough around here and tries to pick fights with me and calls me a martyr :confused3 , etc. It is all so stupid and annoying as I think he's doing plenty to help with Carson and haven't said anything differently. He's gone 12 hours a day working - I'm at home to take care of the kids right now and that's great. He always takes turns in the evenings holding/feeding the baby until he goes to bed. For some reason he can't stop being defensive and I haven't even accused him of anything! This jr. high garbage of trying to second-guess me is driving me insane and we are arguing WAY too much over NOTHING. Grrrr... Anyone wanna trade? ;)

justhat - I would post pics if I could - have no idea how!!! Are there directions somewhere that are easy to follow? I did manage to figure out ebay, so maybe I could do this too...

strawberrylemonade - good luck at OG tonight...sounds so yummy!

diskim - I'm sorry about your aunt - hoping for good news!

floridafam - hope everything is getting better - what a yucky few days for you!

alice28 - sounds like you guys might be happiest where you are. Good luck with the contractor! Have fun tonight - I LOVE that place (ok - I love to LOOK) but I have never gotten a personal invite to something cool like that! Sorry the job situation is no fun right now.

ryan - I hate to let go of the kids clothes too...I got rid of a bunch of Strasburg dresses last fall on ebay and it was very sad as there won't be any more coming into my house. Hannah can still wear them, but she is WAY too cool. Don't think DH will let Carson wear anything from there except maybe for his christening or something.

hillbeans - glad Kevin is staying dry for you - hope it keeps up! Hope your family gets/stays healthy! Ever since Carson came home I've turned into the "police" about washing hands and DD's both have had colds anyway.

nucpharm - glad your schedule is working out - you're very organized, aren't you? :cheer2:

fabumouse - "holy crap batman".... :rotfl2: never heard that one before, but I can just hear it coming out of Hannah's mouth if I dared to use it! Of course, it would be better than what she mutters under her breath. Her temper has always been such an issue that if she's controlling herself enough to mumble (in her room, not in our face) instead of scream at the top of her lungs, we let her get her anger out and let it go. Pick those battles! Bad parents. I still thank heaven every day she only does these things at home, but I have to laugh when I get compliments on her sweetness and light from others.

Anyway - you guys have a great rest of the day. I could actually do a little cleaning since my only accomplishments today have been going to the doctor and store. :)

Alice 28, ya know, you could be right about the nursing thing. Or it could have something to do with the fact that Madison and I just baked 12 cookies and there are now 2 left. And I'm sure you can guess that Madison did not eat the majority of them.

About the Depo though, an OB intern who was at Henry's birth came to visit me before I was discharged and was asking me about birth control and mentioned that a lot of her friends get the Depo shot and they have all gained about 10-15 pounds. She was sorta telling me not to do the shot if I ever want to lose weight so I say you're doing well!

I think I'll head back out to the park. Madison is terrorizing Henry in his swing and it will keep me from eating more cookies.

Well, Emily failed her first "staying home alone" test. I had a meeting after school today but it was short. She had clear instructions regarding coming home alone today. Well, I got to my street and I knew the bus must have just let her off. Well, sure enough, I saw her walking to her friend's house. I was so ticked. If I hadn't seen her, I would have had no idea where she was. She said she was leaving me a voicemail. Oh goodie  . She obviously is not mature enough to leave home yet. I'll have to figure out something else. My neighbor offered to watch her but I hate to have to depend on people like that.

Robin - Molly and Aidan must be on the same wavelength. He does take a nap for the babysitter but he is up so early that it is not enough. He refuses to take another nap for me, so he just screams his head off until bed time. It has really been torture lately. Thank God for Elmo because that is the only time I have som peace.

Justhat - LOL about the subliminal messages in Mickey Mouse clubhouse. Aidan is obsessed with it too. Alex also loves it.

SL - I can't believe so many people are quitting where you work. That's not a good sign!

Well, I think I'm going to take a load off and hang out with Aidan and Elmo for a little while.

Hi everyone, I'm about a half a page behind right now so not too bad, but I just realized that I never welcomed fabumouse and dizagain. So...

party: WELCOME party:

And Happy belated birthday to SL! OK, I gotta get stuff done but I hope to be able to catch up with everyone tonight.

BYE!

dizagain - I'll trade husbands. Mine is never home lately. It's hard to argue with someone who isn't there. Hannah sounds like my Emily. All I hear from her teachers is how sweet she is, etc. Meanwhile, she can be downright evil at home.

Henry is eating so I'm still home. DisKim, I agree about finding someone to watch Emily, but maybe just for a little while and she might learn that she needs to come right home, not go anywhere else. Gosh, how scared would you have been if you didn't see her and came home to an empty house!

Dizagain, I'm not the best for posting photos, but to start you need to upload them to a photo site. I used to use Imagestation, but Vald and some others here told me about Photobucket and I think it's easier. After that part is done, you right click on your picture, highlight the stuff it says in properties, then paste it into the little photo icon in your post. See, that's where I get unhelpful. I'm sure someone else can be more clear on that.

Henry is finished with his 'snack' so out we go!

hi ladies!

I only have a minute to stop by and say hi.

ff - Thanks for worrying about us. The tornado was 15 miles away from us. A 10 year old girl died :( very sad. I guess we did get some severe winds.

The rollerblade marathon went well. I'm a lifelong cheerleader of my husband's activities, not a participant! Someone's gotta take pictures, right? Everyone did well despite the rain they had for the first 5 miles.

I hope I can catch up with you all tonight!

Tamie

Well, couldn't stay away - just emailed my mom and took a peek.

Justhat - thanks for the info - we have our pictures on some personal site through apple - that's what I use for ebay so maybe it would work? I may get adventurous and try "some day".

diskim - oops. sorry about Emily's first attempt at staying home. It's so hard - tempting for her to go to friends, I'm sure. My girls aren't allowed to have anyone in or to go anywhere themselves when I'm out and Hannah ALWAYS calls and asks me anyway even though she knows the answer. It's also hard to let people help you, I know, but I'd let Emily stay with your neighbor. You could always do something nice for her at another time. I know that I personally would never offer to do something if I didn't sincerely want to, so I'm sure your neighbor really wouldn't mind helping you out! :)

I'm off to the couch for a few minutes...this "me-time" is pretty cool when I can get it!

Robin: Jace has never tried the Diet Pepsi, but always tries to get my can. I'm sure he'd love it if he'd try it. :) Glad your check engine light went off :woohoo:
DisKim: Sorry to hear about your Aunt. I'll be sending positive thoughts :goodvibes
Justhat: :rotfl: about your husband criticism of House. Too funny!! DH loves Family Guy too. It's ok, sometimes I enjoy it and others I feel like they take a joke about 10 minutes longer than it should have been. Hope you had a nice time at the park.
Dizagain: Glad Carson's appt went well. :grouphug: Sorry about the arguments with DH.
SL: Pretty soon and you'll be the only employee at your office. Hope the Olive Garden goes ok and Lucas is happier to be there than last time.
FF: OMG! What an awful double whammy for you with the septic and dryer. Hope you get it all taken care of quickly.
BNB: I would love to find the ELMO for Jace too for Christmas. I hate when they do the "limited quantities" stuff. I just saw it on Amazon for 100$ :scared1: when Target has it in stores only for $40. Good luck finding one!
Tamie: A rollerblading marathon sounds like fun. I haven't roller bladed since before I was pregnant...it's a lot of fun! How long did he have to do it for?
Hillbeans: Hope your DH is feeling better soon. Way to go Kevin staying dry :cheer2:
Nucpharm: What craft project did you end up doing today?
Ryan: Nice to see your post. Your boys are so cute. I love the photo where they are looking out the window. Wow, Jack sure got big fast! We've been here for 4 years in this house and just today I realized I never put up any decorations/pictures in our dining room :rotfl: You'll get there.
GinaMarie: I can't believe you are back at Hofstra. I haven't been there in about 7 years. I bet it has changed so much.

Hey to Jill, Lissawyn, Zalanksy,DisneyPhD, Bellacam, Cabmom, Fabumouse, Tasha, Gems and anyone else I missed.

Jace had his 15 mo. appt today. He cried so much when he got his 3 shots. It must be because he is older now and is aware of what they are doing to him because he was like glue on me, I couldn't pry him off me.

Not much going on around here. Just about to head upstairs for my second dinner as I had a bit of the quiche I made this morning earlier with Jace before he went to bed. I wish he would stay up later so all 3 of us could eat dinner together during the week. It's hard as DH does not get home until around 6pm and Jace is ready to start getting ready for bed by 6:15. I don't know what will happen when we do the time change this fall....oh boy!

Have a good one!
:)

Hi Mommies,

Just popping in to say goodnight. The dryer is fixed. It just needed a new belt.

The septic tank is another story. We may need a new drain field. :guilty:

I hope everyone is feeling well and having a nice relaxing evening. I'm going to regroup and catch up tomorrow when I'm in a better mood.

:wave2:

Hi ladies, I've so missed you gals, and I haven't even left town! I just haven't had a moment to read . . . so I have no clue what's going on in anyone's lives, but know that I am thinking of you!

All's fine here. Ds loves school, DD is still struggling with seperation anxiety, Leif has been miserable lately, not sure if he's teething or what, but he is a nursing machine lately, so much for weening! And last night I got a whole 4 hours of combined sleep. ick. No wonder I've been so tired - oh and I have lots of writing to do (which is good for $$, bad for socializing with you gals).

FF - so sorry about your stuff breaking down. Glad you got the dryer fixed, we had to get ours replaced after spending $50 just to find out it couldn't be repaired for a reasonable price, glad you got that taken care of. Sorry about the septic system.

Jill - the garage sale was pretty good, there were five of us with 12 kids at my house (no wonder I've been so busy, had to clean and clean :rotfl: ). Anyway, overall we made $500, I made about $180. So not too bad, unfortunatley, it went straight to bills, but better that than debt. I have put a bunch of stuff on ebay and hope to make some more that way.

bnb - ds too loves to remove his pants in the living room and shuffle to the bathroom -- and dd LOVES the leotards, she wore the black sparkly one today, even though it's a bit big (she'll get lots of wear out of it). Thank you.

tamie - the shoes are a hit, Leif wears them all the time and gets lots of compliments on them, thank you. A rollerblade marathon, whew, sounds exhausting! Sorry to hear a tornado touched base so close to you, I know seeing the devastation is just overwhelming (I've seen it up close a few times too and it's nothing compared to what you see). That poor child. Prayers to her family. I hope you continue to stay safe.

joats - sorry to hear jace's shots were so rough. I hate seeing them cry for that.

Robin, gems, dizagain, val, hillbeans, bellacam, fabumouse, lissawynn, disneyphd, ryan, diskim and all the other mommies, HI. I hope to catch up more later.

Do any of you watch dancing with teh stars? Mario is soooooo HOT I can't stand it, whew! :cloud9:

Oh yeah, Leif is walking everywhere which means tons of bruises. The poor kid has bruises above both eyes, two on his forehead, one on his cheek and another on his chin...walking is tough - and then today ds spilled water and Leif walked onto it and blam, his feet flew and he landed on the back of his head, poor munchkin, he's taking it all pretty well though :groom:

Miss you and hope to catch up with you more soon.

OK, I don't think I'll ever manage to respond to everything I've missed so I'm just gonna go from what I can remember or scroll down to see, I hope no one minds that. Thanks for not calling me crazy about my house, my parents came over for dinner tonight and my dad gave me a hard time about the boxes everywhere and the lack of furniture. I ignore him though, we live to give each other a hard time. Plus he hit his head twice on the low stairway and the chandelier in the dining room :lmao: . He did buy us a carbon monoxide/smoke detector combo and another smoke detector, so that was nice, and I'm trying to talk him into a dishwasher for a housewarming gift. Then I'll hit him up for some good knives for my birthday next month :teeth: I don't really have much choice as far as the furniture goes because we can't fit anything up the stupid stairs so our clothes are still in boxes or baskets, and the living room is only 8' wide, so is our sectional... I don't even know how we will get the drywall up the steps because there isn't really a window big enough and in the right place to even take out. Enough about that, sorry! I do love the house though, all this adds to the character. But did I tell you about the GIANT centipedes that welcomed us? They continue to visit us on a regular basis and even DH won't turn the downstairs lights off at night :rotfl:

ff- I'm glad the dryer is fixed, at least that's one less thing to worry about. Too bad it wasn't the other way around, huh? Did you find out what the pain was?

joats- I'm glad I'm not the only one lagging behind in setting up house :rotfl2: Sorry Jace didn't like his shots, I remember Alex being beyond ticked at that age. How cute that he hides his stuff in the diet pepsi box!

tykes- how sad about that little girl :sad2: I'm glad you'e all ok though!

DisKim- Sorry Emily didn't do well with her first staying home attempt, hopefully you'll figure out something to do about it. I will be praying for your aunt, keep us informed when you can.

SL- I can't believe another person is gone at your work, that's nuts! I'm with you on tracking down the hot toys, I just don't get into it right now. Maybe when the kids are old enough to really want something, but right now it just turns me off when things are sold out like that and selling for outrageous prices on ebay and the like.

justhat- I hope you're right about Alex turning back into his sweet old self, but I don't think I'll hold my breath on it :rotfl: I think a big part of it is that DH has a wonderful tendancy to undermine everything I say or do without even realizing it, so he's getting mixed messages left and right. The man even contraindicts himself sometimes and doesn't even realize it :furious: Men, whaddayagonnado? We also have no real schedule going on here, we need to get one. Time to talk to nucpharm! Sorry to hear that Henry is sick, hopefully his immune system will get a nice big boost and he'll keep healthy the rest of the year.

Robin- I hear ya about the stupid depo shot, I had it after Andrew was born and within 2 weeks weighed 15 lbs more than I did when I left the hospital! I vowed never again. I'm glad you got to see the house so it wasn't nagging you anymore- and for what it's worth- STAY AWAY from houses with crazy stairways! :p I'll have to post a pic of mine, its just insane, really. I can't get over it (obviously :teeth: ) But you already know that anyway because you have one in your current house. I love your story about Sam and Molly in the rocking chair, too cute!

dizagain- I'll trade husbands too, sometimes I wonder about mine... :rolleyes1

I have an ebay related question for you all- I am having a lot of trouble letting go of one item I sold and I've decided it's just not worth regretting for the rest of my life. I am going to refund the buyer's money completely, including whatever she spent on the money order and hope she understands. I will also offer the choice of the full refund or a very similar item and a partial refund. Would you be understanding? I can't decide if I should tell her the truth or tell her I found a big rip in the seam or something... If she does leave negative feedback, I guess I deserve it, but I'll take that over losing the item. What do you think? I know, it's irresponsible, I just had no idea I was so attached to them until I had to pack them up.

ETA- GLT posted while I was. Sorry to hear your DD is having seperation anxiety, I hope she gets used to things soon. Poor Leif with all his bruises, thats a boy for ya, eh? Glad DS is enjoying school though and yay about the garage sale money!

Tasha- Have you found Kylie some boots yet? If not, here are some that I found.

http://www.darlingshoes.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=420

The code 70Fall will give you 70% off a purchase of $30 or more.

These are really cute shoes.
http://www.darlingshoes.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=927
I bought some for Jenna last year, and I have received a lot of compliments on them. They are so easy to get on and off. I am going to use the code and get her a few more pairs in different sizes.

GLT- Sorry to hear that Lindsey is still struggling with seperation anxiety. We watch DWTS. Jenna loves to dance along. She did a cute mambo tonight. :) I would love to dance with Louis (Monique's partner), Jesse ( Shanna's partner), Tony (Sara's partner), or Mario. :goodvibes

Ryan- Good to hear from you. Glad you are enjoying your new house. We have been in this house for 7 years, and we still have a lot of boxes in the garage that need to be unpacked.

floridafam- Glad your dryer is fixed. Hope the septic tank isn't too much. I always say that things happen in threes, so beware. ;)

justhat- Beautiful wedding photos. I think you looked great. The password only worked for me when I typed it in instead of copying and pasting it.

DisKim- Sorry things didn't work out with Emily staying at home by herself. Saying prayers for your aunt.

dizagain & joats- Sorry about the shots.

SL- How was OG? Sorry to hear that people are dropping like flies at work. Maybe you will get a raise for staying. :confused3

Alice- How was the spa? Glad to hear that the light went off in the Outback. Good luck selling it.

fabumouse- We don't have cable either ( I thougt we were the only ones on the planet without it ;)), but thank goodness we can still watch AR. Go to edmunds.com for some info/reviews on the Toyota Highlander. It is listed as one of their "Lowest True Cost to Own Vehicles for 2006". We are thinking about buying a Honda CR-V. We love Hondas, and the CR-V is also listed as a LTCO vehicle.

Hillbeans- Glad to hear that Kevin is staying dry.

nucpharm- I want to get the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for Jenna.

Jill- How was John with the nanny? Good luck preparing for your demo. Sorry I haven't been able to copy and mail my stuff yet.

BnBM- Congrats to Jocelyn on her two parts in the play.

Ginamarie- Sorry to hear that you are losing some of your workload.

Loretta- I love cheese danish as well!

Lissawyn- How are you feeling? Do you still have that pain in your side?

Gems- Glad they sent those nasty co-workers to another office.

Tamie- You and your DH sure participate in some fun activities. I wish we lived closer so we could "hang" together.

Hi to all other DIS moms!

Hi Gals!

I had SO MUCH FUN at the Coldwater Creek open house. Man....I now wish I had $500 to get some clothes and some more spa treatments. We started at the spa and there were the most scrumptious desserts- lemon and white chocolate cake, chocolate dipped strawberries, fresh fruit, cheesecake...I got a quick neck and back massage (sitting in a chair) and that was WONDERFUL. I had to try hard not to drool in the head rest. Then we walked over to the retail store and OMG...they had tons of meats, cheeses, a Greek tray with olives, soft cheeses, artichokes, pita, fruits, veggies and beer or wine. I had a beer for the first time in I don't know how long. 98% of the other ladies had wine and there I was with my beer bottle! LOL! But it was one of those fancy pale ales...My mom bought some clothes, I am so broke I just looked. Then we went into Crate and Barrel and browsed, and Borders and mom bought a Paris guidebook. It was so great to get out of the house for awhile! Bummer I didn't win anything, but I did get some coupons for the spa treatments, good thru the end of Nov...hopefully I will have earned $100-200 with the preschool by then so I can treat myself.

Kim- Big time 'whoops' on Emily's part for doing that!

GLT- so glad you were able to pop in for a bit! Glad you made some good money at your yard sale! Molly has slipped and bit it like that when there's water on the floor....ouch!

Diz & Ryan- there have been several times when I want to trade off my DH! :rotfl:

Ryan- I hope you get your dishwasher soon! That would make a great housewarming gift! :wizard: It will all come together, sooner or later. Regarding the ebay- to be honest with you, you are chancing a negative feedback. I have had someone cancel an auction on me, but it was before I won. If you really can't part with it, then you can't part with it, but depending on the buyer they may very well give you a negative....I would write to her/him first and feel them out.

FF- Oh no, about the drain field. :furious: I'm glad it was just a belt with the dryer, but man....feel free to vent here any time. Life just has a way of throwing curve balls, doesn't it?

Tamie- I'm so sorry for that family's loss.... :guilty:

Joats- my DH gets home late too. Sometimes I just go ahead and eat with the kids if he's later than 6:30. But days like today he worked from 10-5. He's been overworking the first 2+ months he's been there cause he wants to make a good impression, but I think he's feeling comfortable enough to use his flex time, as his boss insisted he do. I'm sorry Jace was so uncomfortable with his shots- I swear that's one of the hardest things to do as a mom- sit there and hold your child down while they get poked. I remember with Sam just crying along with him----I guess I've toughened up a bit since I haven't cried yet with Molly, but I do feel bad for her...

Oh, earlier I was wrong about Molly- she took a THREE AND A HALF HOUR nap! I had to go wake her up so she wouldn't be out of sorts when Grandpa got here to babysit...it was heaven. Basically the entire time both boys were at school (josh is PM kinder), she was napping! :cloud9:

Here is the link to our car-----I sure hope it sells soon. We were going to list it for $13,500, but it seems Subarus really hold their value. Most of the other cars of that year have higher mileage and are listed for $17-19K....but they're listed by dealers who always list at the highest retail price and never sell for that much. Anyway, I swear, as soon as that puppy sells (although I am sad about it- that car was my first NICE car and was Ms. Reliable while DH was gone) we are paying off the AMEX and I'm ringing up Coldwater Creek for a massage! :thumbsup2

Night!

I'm ringing up Coldwater Creek for a massage.
That made me think of Will and Booger's "phone conversations" in the diary room. :lmao:

I'm kind of missing Dr. Will. He was funny and endearing.

Not missing Booger....

Robin - Coldwater Creek sounds incredible.

FF - I'm glad the dryer was fixed. I hope the septic can be fixed as well.

Alex's open house went well last night. I was anxious to hear more about the program. I put him in a transitional first grade class because our first grade curriculum is insane. This way, he will take the curriculum over a course of two years. I know my son and there is no way he would take well to a hectic pace and hours of homework every night like Emily had. The teacher was very positive and said that the T-1 kids go on to be at the top of their class because they have such a good foundation. That was exactly what I wanted to hear.

Well, my open house is tonight. I think it is the most tiring day of the year for teachers.

Have a great day and sorry to those I missed. I only had a minute.

Good morning ladies! Olive Garden was fine - Lucas was on decent behavior but it was late and he was legitimately tired so I'm giving him a pass. Turns out my friend wanted to have dinner with us to tell us she's pregnant. This will be her second - her DS will be 2 in Dec and now her baby is due in April. This brought about a discussion between me and DH - we're waiting before we have number 2. We were both in immediate agreement.

justhat - I meant to tell you I looked at the pictures of the wedding. You look fantastic! The bride looked beautiful as well. I hope Henry is feeling better.

dizagain - Glad Carson's appointment went well. Sorry he had to have shots. :guilty:

DisKim - My mom would have killed me if I pulled that when I stayed home alone. Sorry Emily failed the test. I hope you can find a solution.

tkyes - Glad your DH's rollerblade marathon went well. I probably couldn't make it down my own driveway if you strapped me in rollerblades.

joats - Sorry Jace took the shots so hard. :guilty:

FF - I'm glad your dryer got fixed, but I'm sorry the septic system situation is so bad.

glt - We watch DWTS but missed last night b/c of our dinner out. We'll catch the results show tonight. I agree - Mario is sizzling!

ryan - I hope you get that dishwasher and knives out of your dad! My parents gave us a washer/dryer set for our housewarming so DH told his parents and they went out and bought us a window AC unit. :lmao:

J&D - Cute shoes, and a decent price. If my friend has a girl, I know what I'm getting her. :teeth:

Alice28 - Glad you had a good time at the CC open house. Sorry you didn't win anything. I never win anything myself. One of these days I'll get lucky! Good luck with selling the car.

Tasha and llij - How is school going?

Have a great day, everyone!
