ugh, Leif was up at 5 a.m., not too huge of a deal as I actually went to bed at 10:30 and got decent sleep, all things considered. Well now DS is awake and he is sooooooo high maintenance. He's mad because I said "no" to his wanting to play Hulabaloo (thanks Nucpharm;) ) at 5:30 a.m. I promised to play with him later. He is talking my ear off right now -- he wants goofy to call (like the Disney wake up calls). He won't stop talking. It's way too early for this. He's gonna be a crank later.

Forget to complain to you all. I reaggrevated a slipped disc in my back - not sure how - and am in constant pain. I went to the chiro. yesterday and will probably go again this week. I was hoping that it would have calmed down by now, but I guess it's really screwed up....like I need something else. Oh well. As long as I am careful and keep stretching it, hopefully it will heal sooner rather than later.

Dizagain - the house sounds dreamy, and for the same price, wow! I'm telling you, if the kids and I head south on a trip this year we may be stopping at some DIS mom houses:goodvibes

Robin - Fab reminded me, Inever got a chance to comment on that belt buckle - that is just a crazy type of gift. Original, that's for sure:rotfl2: Some of that gymbo stuff is so cute. Do me a favor, if you see the b'day girl stuff on sale let me know. I'd love to get the tee and crown for DD, she has a summer b'day.

Fab- get help with the thrush - from experience the medicine is much needed! I think there is an oral med out now, I took it with leif. Good luck:wizard: I hope you feel better soon.:grouphug:

Jill - good luck today with John.:wizard: :grouphug:

zalansky - maybe you will be the next one to have a baby:rolleyes1 Oh, and I just made the mistake of clicking on that choo choo link with dd and ds sitting next to me, guess my DIS time is about done:rolleyes: How come the kids know these songs I never heard them? Must be some bad parenting on my part? Maybe I was in the kitchen while they are watching...

Tasha - sorry about Kylie's dr. - boy, btn daycare and drs, all those changes. Sorry to hear it. I hope you got some sleep

J&D - Thank you for the links! I do actually enter the ones I do see. Who knows, maybe it will come to fruition!! I actually recently entered one through the Marketday program at dd's school - I think it's a national contest. Wow on the Grammy's!! That must have been so cool. Did you have a fancy dress and everything?

Diskim - So sorry about the crazy principal, that is ridiculous. I am so sorry you have to deal with that.

Gems - you doing okay? The store is openig soon, right? Is it already open?

ooooooh, now DD is up too and DS is complaining. What a day it will be...

Well that's all the catching up I can do right now. Thining of you all though!

Morning! There's no heat in the office today. Luckily, one of the bosses went out to get me a space heater. He did call the bldg owner and they're going to look into the problem. To make matters worse, there are repairs going on with the roof (we're 1 story) and they're right above my head right now. I keep fearing something (or someone) will land on me. Of course, that's probably why the heat's off.

llij - Sending P&PD to you and John today that the scan goes well! :wizard:

diskim - OMG! I can't believe the hoops you have to jump thru to get your own PERSONAL days. :sad2: BTW, I've heard it's pretty common for concert venues to release tickets the day of the event. Hope you had fun at the concert.

glt - Sorry about your back. Hope it feels better soon.

dizagain - Good luck with the house.

I know I missed most of you but my hands are frozen. I can't type with gloves on. I'll try to check in again later...hopefully it'll be warmer!

Robin,

Crap on a cracker is right. I'm in trouble with that new Gymbo line. I've got to get another Gymbuck. That stuff is so cute!!!!

Jill- I hope John’s tests go smoothly.

Fabs- LOL at the cow gifts.

GLT- Sorry about your back.

Sorry for the drive by post, and hi to all the other mommies! I had a bad mom moment this morning. While Olivia and I were playing, I reached to get some more peek-a-blocks, and she fell over and hit her head :( I’ll be holding her every minute today feeling guilty!

Gymbo is too cute!!! I really want the kimono dress and like the whole lemon layette line. It's evil! I'm going to try to narrow it down to just 2-3 things we have to have and wait until I get some more $$ in.

J&D - Because of my ever expanding waistline and my depleting personality and patience, we're just doing cake for Jimmy. I'm going to probably hit Party City and get some Elmo stuff and order 2 Elmo cakes, one for my family and one for DH's family. There is no way I can entertain 20+ people in my house and I don't think it's fair to ask my mom or sister to host a party that includes DH's monsters, I mean nieces and nephews.
I asked him to see if his mom would mind us having his cake at her house (since one SIL and her kids live there and one of the others is ALWAYS there). I'm also going to ask my sister if we can have my family at her house.

SL - I hope you get some heat soon! Our school's heat/ac has been messed up since we moved in 7 years ago. I haven't had many meat locker temp. days this year, but it's always humid and damp (kind of like AK) when school starts.

Robin - I'm going to be getting my Gymbo shopping cart ready. I have 6 Gymbucks to use between Annabel and Jimmy. Most of the summer stuff that Jimmy got last year (2T) was never worn b/c it was too big. I have a terrible feeling that Annabel is going to be getting the majority of the clothes this time around.

Speaking of Annabel, she's kicking the crap out of me at the moment. Anyone wanna bet that the first HUGE snow storm we get here in PA will be the day I go into labor?

Thanks for validating my feelings on the leave issue. I think the thing that ticked me off more than the documentation was the way the principal was acting. He was giving me major attitude. Also, I did not like the fact that he questioned me about how close I am with the person who is getting married. Why the heck should he care. Also, I spoke to the cute 20-something down the hall who took a 3 day leave for a wedding and she was not asked for any kind of documentation. I think the principal is still mad at me for the whole microphone thing.

I will catch up later. My friend comes in to drag me off to lunch. She's going to get jealous of my DIS friends taking her time away :goodvibes .

By the way, the concert was AWESOME!!!! I was sooooo impressed with the production they put on. I felt my money was well spent. 3 of the performers performed songs from their individual albums. Emily was so excited because most of them were songs from albums that have not yet been released. They even did the dances from the movie (I love the one with the basketballs). The girl from Dancing with the Stars (Monique Coleman is her name I think) came out and did some ballroom dancing. The crowd went wild. Anyway, I have to go. I'll post more about it later!! Have a good day!

Hi! Just have a second...fussy boy in his jumpy right now. We had a scare this morning...he was under his floor gym thingy and was really mad and screaming. I was not in the room - Hannah was but she was watching tv. Anyway, he was so mad and kicking that he started shifting across the floor a bit. I walked in just in time to see him whack the fireplace shovel thing and IT FELL DOWN LIKE AN INCH FROM HIS HEAD!!!!! Super bad mommy moment - not Hannah's fault at all but she started crying and it was just bad. I had him way too close to the fireplace - he probably only moved like a foot or so. :sad1:

diskim - so glad the concert turned out to be worthwhile and fun!! I know the girls would just love that.

sl - hope you warm up soon!!

lissawynn - you and your granny panties don't have much longer!! My feet were SO SWOLLEN last summer with Carson...we took a 19 hour car ride (yes, in one day) and I thought I would die. I know it's sometimes a pain, but I'm so glad Annabel is healthy and kicking!!!!! Jimmy will have fun on his birthday no matter what!

ginamarie - I'm sure Olivia is fine. Carson has started throwing himself over on purpose if I just have him leaning on my legs on the floor. Then he gets super mad bacause he hates to be on his tummy.

zalansky - glad your sisters and you are able to work together so well and share this time.

glt - hope you get a nap today! And you are more than welcome to come down to Memphis (well, Arlington) anytime!!!! I don't think we're really on the way to Disney, but hey, my door is always open! And I'll be sure to let you know when Carson's birthday bash is!

Well, need to go give Carson a change of scenery and maybe get some cleaning done - can't get motivated. Of course I'd be in trouble if the phone rang and someone wanted to see the house!! Have a great day - hello to everyone!:)

Hi everyone! :goodvibes

Everything went very smoothly this morning with the scan. John was "Mr. Happy" when he woke up, but got mad in the pre-op area before we even got started. The doctor and nurse thought that he might have been spooked b/c the area had a familiarity to it from his surgery last May. I didn't think babies could remember stuff like that, but the doctor said that while he doesn't remember his surgery from last May, he does recognize the setting and that he was uncomfortable and hurting before. That was interesting to know. I never knew that about babies.

Thankfully, he didn't need an IV after all and they gave him what is called a 'dart' (gen. anesth.) and it knocked him out immediately. Dave and I sat in recovery with him for a little over an hour until he was back to his normal self. He woke up quite happy which is a sharp contrast to 8 months ago. He is now in his crib sleeping and will probably sleep a lot today.

They are going to send the results to his doctor today, but I don't expect to hear anything for a few days. I'm sure his brain looks normal and that he is fine. Tomorrow is his evaluation from Early Intervention to see if he qualifies for PT and at this point he will.

My dh got a call from his sister while we were leaving the hospital that his mother is in the hospital. She has bad asthma and was struggling yesterday. Her doctor sent her straight to the ER and they admitted her. She'll be in for a few days until they can get some good breathing treatments in her and get her medications all worked out. I feel bad since she is far away and there isn't much we can do from here.

I'm sorry to not catch up with you all! My house looks like a bomb went off and I should really do some cleaning while John is napping. I'll try to get back on later.

Jill- I am glad to read John did well today. He has been in my prayers and I am sure all will be well.

Hello everyone. Now that dh's paternity leave ended:sad: things have been crazy for me. I am trying to settle into a routine with the two kids, but Bailey is still a little unpredictable. I hope you are all well and I have been keeping up with the thread by lurking but haven't really had time to post. I have a dual nap going now so I figured I say hi and grab a bite to eat before one or the other wakes up!

Jill - I'm so glad to hear that John did okay today! He just sounds so sweet being happy right before the scan.

Hi all. It's somewhat warmer in my "office" (it's a big storage room with 4 desks and a ton of computer junk, but it has a door that can close) thanks to the space heater. I can finally take my gloves off. Now there's this God awful smell throughout the entire office. It's like a really really strong glue or something. It reminds me of when you got too close to the rubber cement in elementary school.

llij - Glad the scan went well. Hoping for good results!

diskim - Glad you had a good time at the concert. I watched Monique on Dancing With the Stars.

bellacam - I hated when DH's paternity leave was up and he had to go back to work. He only had 2 weeks. Everyone was telling me how great it would be that I could get into my own schedule, but DH honestly HELPED! :cloud9:

dizagain - Eek! Sorry about the close call with Carson.

lissawynn - Good luck with the Elmo parties. Keeping them small (even without being pregnant) is a good idea.

gm - Sorry to hear Olivia bumped her head! One time I let Lucas fall right off the changing table onto the hardwood floor. Don't feel so bad. :grouphug: I think we've all had those bad mommy moments.

I am just checking in to see how John did with his scan today and I'm so glad to hear that everything went well for him and no IV too!

Madison's still sick so I haven't had a ton of time to post lately. I've been reading the thread though, but that takes up about all of my free time. I'm calling her dr in a few minutes when they reopen for lunch cause she's had a fever pretty much since Thursday night. She's got a cough and runny nose but that's it-her throat is fine, lungs are clear, stomach doesn't hurt (though she's not eating much, but she never does so that isn't too indicative of anything) so we have no idea what's wrong with her. My fear is really that we're supposed to go to my mom's house Thursday and she has pneumonia (though she's on antibiotics so not contagious anymore) so I don't want to spread any new illnesses around to her.

On another note, I gave Henry rice cereal for the first time today and he loved it! I had pumped 1.5 oz of milk for the cereal and he ate all of it. I was shocked cause even though I had a feeling he'd be a better eater than Madison I still thought it would take him more than 1 spoonful to get used to eating something other than just plain milk.

The ped should be back open now so I'm going to give them a call.

Jill - Glad you and John made it through this a.m. and sending prayers your way that everything comes out perfect! I was thinking of your sis this a.m. and need to look back in my messages, I do want to send her an email.

Justhat - Sorry Madison is feeling so terrible. Yeah about Henry and the cereal! My kids never did like that stuff, and Leif went straight to people solids, never liked any baby food.

SL - I'm telling you, your office stories would make a great book. I can't get over all the drama there including no heat:scared1: glad you are able to warm up a bit.

Lisswynn - I sure hope that Annabel doesn't come during that first snowstorm. The way the weather has been, hopefully that won't happen.

GM - I'm sure Olivia will be ok, but I know how you feel!:sad2: BTW, love the pics of her at Disney on your trip report.

bellacam - hang in there! I am sure you will adjust, it just takes a bit of time (and sleep, if you can get it). Sending thoughts your way.

Wow, what excitement for DS, there is a gian dump truck out front and a cherry picker now too, wonder what they are doing?? DS is speculating that they are going to cut down trees. Such excitement:hippie:

dizagain - eeks about the shovel! Glad it ended up ok. How frightening. My friends recently moved to Charleston and I am seriously considering a trip down there, so you may just be on the way. Any word on the house?

Diskim - that concert sounds fabulous! Well worth it. Hope lunch was fun.

FF - good luck getting a gymbuck! I loke the cute V'day boxers - DS liked them too.

hmmm, more trucks, the tree guess looks accurate. DS is just staring out the window:3dglasses

HOpe you DIS moms are well. Chat more later!

Anyone looking for an exercise video that you can do with your toddler? Jenna got a Baby Nick Jr. Curious Buddies: Let's Move DVD for Christmas, and it is pretty good. It has some aerobic exercises and yoga moves on it. She loved it, and I got a pretty good workout as well.

Jill- I'm so glad to hear that John's scan went well and that he didn't need an IV.

TTFN!

Jill- thank goodness everything went OK this morning and that they didn't have to start an IV.

Justhat- I'm sorry Madison is still feeling puny. Yay for Henry though!

Diz- yikes about the shovel. :scared1:

I've kind of had another crappy morning- I've just decided to busy myself with cleaning up around here instead of sitting on the computer all morning.

Anyway, see you all around!!!!!!! :)

Jill, glad to hear that John's scan went smoothly this morning. I would have been a wreck!

Zalansky- I love the "I support Tigger" in your siggie. Too funny!

DisKim- Glad you guys enjoyed the concert. My brother and sisters loved it too, and even my mom said that the performers do a great job and a lot of work!

I finally stopped at our new library to take out some books. It's so beautiful there! I really need to get my stroller back from SIL, because carting Olivia around in that carrier seat is getting WAY too heavy, and of course the books I wanted to look at were on the "mezzanine". I have a couple of books on gardening now though. :flower3: I really need to read up before I start ordering stuff. DH and I are pretty well decided that we want to plant a peach tree, but having lived in a condo since age 4, I don't really know much about growing trees, and the only veggies I'm used to growing were in pots on the back porch. Now I have a whole garden area to work with and I'd LOVE to have fresh veggies all summer.

I'm making some tomato sauce tonight, but I don't want to wake up Olivia with the can opener, so I'll wait a little bit. That stinker REFUSED to nap today.

Hi all! I only have a minute--Luke wouldn't sleep for me all day, then finally fell asleep in my arms. When he (and my arm) woke up, I had exactly 15 minutes before the gang leaves for karate.

Robert started wrestling last night, and seems to like it. Let's see if this is something he sticks with, wrestling's real big at our school.

Gina--Good luck with the gardening stuff, I have the world's biggest black thumb. I get the urge every spring, but have no follow-through. We do a small plot for the kids, though--mostly tomatoes (Robert cracks me up, he's like a little old Italian man!), peppers, pumpkins.

justthat--That's great that Henry enjoys solid food. Should make your life a little easier!

Robin--How noble of you to clean--when I get those feelings, I usually lie down until the feeling goes away.

Jill--Glad John's scan went well. Thinking of you!

Kim--The personal day drama is just insane. It's none of his business! Although I did have a boss once who yelled at me for taking bereavement leave when DFIL died--he actually said I couldn't go, I had work to do. He apologized later, but then made snide comments about my sunburn when I got back--DFIL died in Hawaii, and I confess, I did take DH boogieboarding for a coupel hours to get his mind off things. But my boss acted like it was a free vacation--like I wouldn't have rather been anywhere else! Anyway, not to hijack your crappy boss, but apparently he's not the only one.

I have to run, I've been invaded!

Hey ladies
Just a drive by post from me again!

Jill - The antenna toppers came today! Thank you so much they are fabulous! The stitch one will be great for DH's car and the Fantasia one on mine as it's blue so it will match! I will take a picture when they are on and post it. Dh said that I wasn't putting it on there but I so am!!!;)

I meant to say thanks to Tamie for the WDW exchange, we opened the gifts of Christmas day, they were all lovely - some mickey biscuits, a vest for Shelby, a hat for flump, some mints in a lovely tin and a mickey head tree decoration - of course I got all depressed when I opened them as I know it's going to be such a long time till we go again.

The shop isn't open yet - I know someone asked. We get the keys on the 29th, then it's all hands on deck (except mine) to get the fit out done and be open for the 5th Feb! Is it do-able? Hmmm I am not sure!:confused3

Well I feel like crap - can't sleep, can't stop peeing, can't stop scratching my legs - whoever said that Pregnancy was a magical experience was talking such s**t! I have a scan tomorrow to see if Mr Flump is ready to come out, officially I am booked in for my C section a week on Friday but I think my ob is taking pity on me - either that or he is just humouring me! He said that the scan is " to see if the baby is cooked" !!?? ok. ;) Can every one please pray for me tonight that I get whisked into the Delivery Suite tomorrow??!!:wizard:

I was in the hospital on Saturday night as I thought that my waters had broken - unfortunatley they hadn't, however they did an internal exam - which as usual was unpleasant, after that I was under no illusion that I have made the correct decision to go ahead with the C section, where I tore when I had Shelby hurt until today so I dread to think what I would be like after a V delivery! :scared1:

I have washed the small sized stuff that you guys all bought for him and the one suit is going to be his coming home outfit. I also have the little hat for him to wear home from the hospital. Even though the weather here has been crazily warm - like 12 degrees - not sure what that is in American!:rotfl: not normal for this time of year in the UK I can tell you.

Well it's 00.41 and I should be getting to sleep - but I CAN'T!!! AHHH it's drivng me insane - I am off to try a hot milky drink and just hope that it works!:wizard:
