Tasha+Scott - I was happy that we went 13 months without any type of sickness. At first, I thought it was just because he was getting his one year molars in, but then it went really high and I knew something wasn't right. Since my in-laws are living with us permanently, I'm lucky that I don't have to put him in daycare. I'm going to try to homeschool both of the boys. We'll see how well that works.

I'm sorry I don't have time to catch up right now. I've got to get directions, etc. ready for the concert and hopefully throw some sort of dinner together.

I have to vent. I HATE HATE HATE my principal. I put in my request for my 3 personal days for my cousin's wedding in the Keys. He sent a note that he wanted to meet with me about it. I figured he had to do that and we would just chat and he'd sign the damn paper. Nope. He proceeded to question me as to how close I am to this cousin (I changed her diapers for goodness sake!). Then, he had his "authoritative look" on and told me he would sign it but I would have to provide copies of my flight information as proof. Can you believe that??? I have been saving these days to use for the wedding all year. Last time I checked, most professionals don't have to prove themselves. I feel like it is as good as calling me a liar. I'm writing him a letter to let him know how I feel. It's like working for the Gestapo for goodness sake. I called DH crying hysterically. I don't want to work there anymore. I just can't stand it. Something has got to change for me before the next school year. Several of you have said that my job is killing my spirit. Consider it broken. I'm done. It's sad because I love the kids and I enjoy teaching them. It's the administration that is driving me out.

Another thing that ticked me off today. I bought these concert tickets usning a presale code. I went to the website to get directions today and there were floor tickets available for tongiht. WTH?? I thought these tickets were supposed to be so hard to come by.

DisKim,

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be it for me. Is there any way you can go to your school board?

I would be done, finished, gone at the end of the year. I can't imagine.

When DH puts in for vacation time, he just has to put in for the time, that's it. No proof, nothing. It's nobody's business what you do with your well deserved time off.

I'm shocked at the way you are treated and can honestly say you deserve better.

I hope you and your DH are able to come to some sort of understanding. You are obviously very talented and dedicated and I have no doubt you could find something you love doing, be a mentor to children and enjoy it at the same time.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Anyone want a big box of melted See's chocolate????:rotfl2:

Don't they know I need my chocolate today. When they took my order, they never mentioned that I needed special packaging. I called back a few days later and was told I could add it for $10 on top of the $10 I was already paying. Luckily, they are sending out a new box with warm weather packaging and I should have it in 2 days. All this trouble for chocolate.

The molasses chips are okay and boy are the GOOD!!!

DS got to class just in time to take the test to get on the Geography Bowl team. Their class won this round so they get to go up against the other grades on Friday. DS just loves this kind of stuff so he is pretty happy right now.

Kim--Hugs to you!!:grouphug: Come vent anytime!

ff--Hmm, big box of melted chocolate--hey, send it my way--tastes the same, right??:lmao:

OH NO on the chocolate! Maybe they figured since it was winter they didn't need to do the warm weather packaging? Yes, the molasses chips are great, aren't they? Maybe I need to bribe you and Loretta in order for you to make it to WDW for a day or two while I'm there----I'll bring a box of Molasses chips if you are able to come! :rotfl: :rotfl:

KIM! I cannot believe your principal did that to you- I thought personal days were PERSONAL, meaning you didn't have to give a reason for them. That's how they were in my school district anyway. Where is the flaming mad 'smilie'? That is ridiculous and I hope you can find a way financially to walk away at the end of the school year. This job just seems to tear you apart. :sad1:

I've had kind of a crapster day- I too was late getting up and Sam on the bus, so I drove him in my BATHROBE and had to get Molly and Josh up early. He was on time though. Then I was almost late getting josh to the bus cause I'm trying to straighten out this mess with our mortgage company never receiving our payment in Nov. My check is out there, not cashed, somewhere. They switched names in Nov and apparently a whole bunch of accounts are messed up, not just ours, but it makes me mad cause that money was taken out of my account with automatic bill pay, my bank wrote the check, and now I will have to pay the stop payment fee and write get billpay to write a new check. It seems the stupid mortgage company should pay that fee since I'm willing to bet my payment is stuck in a pile of papers somewhere.

Anyway, I need to now go exercise. I met DH for lunch at Baja Fresh...as much as I love their food, I am not sure I can eat there anymore. I get tummy troubles almost immediately. Sigh.....Maybe it's just too much sour cream or something, I don't know.

HI MOMMIES!!!

Well, we had a quick trip down to Memphis Friday and back on Sunday. Carson was wonderful, thank goodness. My mom met us at the hotel (from Atlanta) and kept Carson and Hannah all day Saturday while we went out with the realtor. We were SO relieved Hannah opted to stay at the hotel - she would have been whining every second...Hayley had a great time with us. Anyway, we found two new-construction houses that we like in a suburb that is a little far out but growing and very nice. We timed the trip from our potential neighborhood down the interstate to the mall, Target, restaurants, etc. and it was about 8-10 minutes. There is a brand new Kroger in our community which will be nice.

I'm really excited - well I will be if we can get the first choice, anyway. It is about 3,000 square feet and feels really huge to me - I definitely don't have the furniture to fill it! But, this is "it" for us so we can fill it slowly. The best part is that Carson's room is downstairs with ours and the girls are upstairs with a playroom. He can always move upstairs when the girls head off to college since he'll only be 8!! We have offered the builder his asking price but with about $10 K in upgrades like a fence, fridge, built-in computer desk, and HOPEFULLY blinds or at least an allowance for that. Not counting on the blinds. SO, we'll see. Our second choice is really pretty and probably a little better on quality, but it's got some funky kinks that don't really work for us...the kitchen has no eat-in area at all plus the keeping room off the kitchen has the fireplace/tv nook and the GIGANTIC great room has neither which wouldn't fit with our furniture or lifestyle. DH's company should have their offer ready for us tomorrow so we'll know if we're in trouble or not with our profit from this house. The new house is the same price as our current one which is amazing to me - this place is crazy $$$!!!!! Keep your fingers crossed!!!!

I caught up on my reading today and I'll attempt to reply...

icebrat - good to see you! Good luck finding care for Tess...no, that place was NOT a good place for her!!! Sorry about the poo thing - never had that problem but I know it's not uncommon.

Tasha - Congrats on the scholarship!! Good luck with the new term!!

GLT - HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY TO LAINE!!! Cute pictures! I'm glad his party went well. Sorry to hear of your almost ex's problems...I know that must tear at you a bit.

nyprincess - sorry about the double ear infection. And yes, EVERY time my DD's had antibiotics, their diapers were frightening. I know it's hard to be away from him - hang in there!

justhat - how's Madison? Hope she's feeling better. I say e-bay away...better that you get some $$ that you can use.

BnB - how's the "new" boy?

nucpharm - Happy Late Anniversary!! WTG on the 14 miles!!!!

floridafam - glad Kona is better. You ladies and your "back rubs" crack me up. Funny, I'm usually 1st to complain when I get one lately, but last night when we got home from our trip, I was actually hoping for one and DH fell asleep downstairs in front of the football game. Nice.

ginamarie - Woo Hoo on Olivia sleeping in her crib!

robin - that was some bizarre belt buckle...I would love to have seen your DH's face!

val - to you, thinking about you and your Grandfather.

cabsmom - Happy Back 2 School Day! Hope you enjoyed yourself!

Diskim - have fun at the concert!!! WTH..."proof" of your flight??? I'd be very ticked off - that's insane!

hillbeans - Carson is the same way - he must have his face mashed up against a rolled blanket or my shirt to sleep

J&D - glad to hear Jenna's better!

jill - Hope Katie feels better. Good luck with John's CT Scan tomorrow!

tykes - Woo Hoo! Your trip is almost here! Let us know how the All-Water diet works out for you...;)

Well, girls are home from school. Of course you now can't see the floor in the living room since they've thrown every single thing down on their way into the house. Hope everyone is having a good day and our "sickies" are feeling better! Hi to everyone I missed!:)

/
I drove him in my BATHROBE

:lmao:

Dizagain - how I would love, love 3000 square feet! Our house is about half of that and we're feeling pretty smushed.

Kim - that is CRAZY. It shouldn't matter if you were going to sit on your a$$ and eat cheetos for 3 days, they're your days. :confused3

GLT - hey, you never know - and planning Disney vacations is half the fun.

Justhat - sorry about the cough - we've been struggling through that and DH slept on the couch last night again because he had to get up at 5 to go to Texas. I almost took Madeleine to the dr. today, but she was napping and I figured that a good nap was going to be better than dragging her to the dr. to be told that the baby has a cold. And I'm so glad that wipe tip did it for you - Madeleine hasn't had a rash of any sort yet.

Kailey is out of the bath - must run. :dance3:

Tykes- wow, your trip is coming so soon!

GLT- Nothing wrong with dreaming! I’m still planning to go this fall and I have NO IDEA how we’re going to pay for it. Our cruise is in March, and I cannot wait.

Tasha- I hope you have some luck with the new pediatrician. Olivia actually goes to the same pediatrician I went to when I was a teenager. Luckily, the new doctor that works with her is great. Of course it’s a 45 minute drive there, but it’s worth it to me.

DisKim- I am SO SORRY about your principal. My old boss used to be like that, every time we wanted to take days off, he would give us h%** about it. Lord forbid someone would take a vacation day and not go out of town, they expected you to come in for a couple of hours. Ridiculous!

FF- congrats to your DS. I used to love competitions like that when I was a kid.

Alice- sorry about the mortgage company situation. Ours has switched names twice already, but they’ve taken our money every month anyway. I love Baja Fresh. For me Boston Market is the place that always gives me tummy trouble.

Dizagain- I hope your house works out! It sounds beautiful, and brand neeeeew!

Today has been a tough one for us. My mom has started with her new job (and is keeping her old one for the next three months so that she’ll still have medical coverage), so Olivia is with me at the office pretty much every day now. It’s so challenging trying to do legal work with this child! DBro spends part of the day here too, and for that period of time I do nothing but watch the two of them. I MUST remember to bring more toys for the pack and play tomorrow. So I’m expecting some LONG nights ahead. I don’t mind, as long as I get enough work in to cover my bills.

Speaking of bills, a title company called me today to say that they undercharged me THREE weeks ago and now I owe them another $94. Grrrr! Oh gosh, the cleaning guy must think I’m nuts, he just came in to find us dancing around with the music blasting “Whatever Gets You Through the Night.” Hey man, if dancing makes the baby happy, I’ll type and dance!

OK, now I need to get home.

Hi ladies. I am trying to catch my breath, literally, at the moment. Annabel must be living against my diaphragm (sp?). I am so looking forward to labor vs. feeling like crap warmed over.

I don't have time for a real post, but I had to respond to Kim. Do you belong to a union/teacher's association? In my district we can use our personal days anyway we wish. We do have to submit a paper to use them, but we don't have to provide any kind of explanation as to how we use them. If my principal were to ask what yours did, she would be in some serious hot water. Please check with your building rep. or association person in your building to see what an administrator can/cannot ask of you.

I hope you can come to some kind of resolution about your job. It's terrible when good teachers are beaten down by these ridiculous things, especially crappy principals. Just try to focus on all the kids you are helping on a daily basis!:grouphug:

I have to get back to the dungeon, I mean basement, and get another load of wash done. I am so behind it's not funny.

Btw, the granny panties are a lifesaver. I was totally comfy today (as far as that's concerned) and didn't feel like my circulation was being cut off. I'll have some great dust rags when I'm no longer a whale.

Good evening ladies!

I’ll catch up as best as I can…….

Kim – That is just horrible how your principal treated you. You don’t deserve that at all! You are such a great teacher and the administration really has killed your spirit. Terrible terrible terrible! :( You deserve so much better and I really hope that something works out so you can leave. Life is too short.

GLT – I think that planning for a WDW trip and saving what you can and e-baying sounds like a great plan! :thumbsup2 BTW, how was your dd’s appointment today?

Lissawynn – Not too much longer for you! LOL about the granny underwear. I had them when I was pregnant....hey, I think I still wear them too!

Nyprincess – I hope that your ds and dh are better soon. You sound like you’ve got a lot on your plate!

Justhat – How is Madison feeling today? I hope she is doing better.

J&D – Glad to hear that Jenna is on the mend! When she is better, I want to hear more about your trip! What was your favorite part of the trip? Do you have pictures? I was the absent minded professor and forgot my camera when we went to WDW. I had to borrow my dads.

Icebrat – It is good to hear from you! As far as potty training, it sounds like you are doing the right thing. Heck, I bribed both girls with stickers and little treats and it did no damage.

Hillbeans – I remember when Katie was a baby, she wouldn’t sleep well without a bumper. We went out and bought a cheapo bumper and it traveled wherever we went. Worked like a charm and she slept great. John slept pretty well at WDW in the pack ‘n plays since the sides are soft.

Z – How was your weekend with your sisters and your dad?

Tamie – Have a great trip!!! :cool1:

FF – Melted chocolate….oh no! I’m glad to hear that they are shipping you another box. Congrats to your ds too!

Robin – I wanted to tell you congratulations on the weight loss!! :cool1: Way to go! Good luck with the mortgage mess. It sounds like such a pain!

Val – How are you feeling today? It sounds like that virus really hasn’t totally left your system. I hope that you feel back to your normal self soon. Prayers being said for your grandfather.

Nucpharm – 14 miles! Way to go! :thumbsup2 I’m lucky if I can run to the end of my driveway without collapsing. I’m so out of shape it is ridiculous!

Hermosa – Good luck to your dd and her new little one! It sounds like she needs to put a heavier coating of Desitin or Balmex on the baby. Air drying always worked well for us too.

Tasha – Good luck with school! I bet you will do great this semester!

SL – Do you have a lot of work with your new class? How has work been lately?

Cabmom – Good luck meeting with management. Will you be meeting soon?

BNBmom – How is Jocelyn doing? Does she still think the new boy is annoying? (BTW, I’m totally taking notes for when Meagan goes through with this!);)

Dizagain - Welcome back! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you that all works out with the house. Your first choice sounds like a wonderful house!

Fabumouse – I hope that Madeleine is on the mend soon too!

GM – Sorry to hear that things didn’t work out with WASAPIDI (is that what it is called?) Good luck with getting all of your work done too!

Joats – How is everything going? How is cute little Jace?

Hi to Gems, Bellacam, DisneyPhD, Ryan840 and everyone! :wave2:

I need go fold laundry and get ready for tomorrow. It is going to be an early morning around here. I’m sure that the scan will be over in an instant. I’m not really sure why John’s needs an IV. Meagan didn't have one when she was a baby. Perhaps things have changed and they now require the IV. I'll know more tomorrow. Wish me luck that it all goes smoothly for John.

Everyone have a great evening!

:wizard: :grouphug: for John. Good luck Jill. Prayers and thoughts for him and your family!!

Madeleine slept a *ton* today - I'm hoping that it helps move this virus along, as we're all miserable. :guilty:

Speaking of misery - my left breast is *itchy* *itchy*. If it's thrush/yeast infection, can it go away on its own?

Jill - I'm crossing my fingers for John tomorrow. :wizard:

GM - I always feel so cheated when I get those "extra" bills. I swear that our dermatologist keeps billing us for the same office visit, every few months (just long enough for me to wonder if I really do owe her the money). Thanks for the thought on the nodes - the grandmother is so stressed out these days that she's not very lucid about her status.

Lissa - I swear that's why women are pregnant for so dang long - to get us actually looking forward to our bodies ripping in half. At least it's *progress* instead of the neverending bamboo-under-the-fingernails.

GLT - love the cake! That is so creative.

Nucpharm - I've been dealing with the breeding pile of laundry since New Year's and Kailey left a Pull-Up (yes, we're back to peeing the bed, can you say Hallelujah?) in her laundry and it exploded all over the clean wash.

Hi Tamie & Hillbeans. :cutie:

Congrats on the scholarship, Tasha!

Robin!!! I finally saw the belt buckle and I just peed my granny panties over that one! That is *exactly* the sort of thing that my DH's family sends us and it's hysterically funny at times, but maddening at others. My SIL spent 3 years sending me "Cow" things. I have NO IDEA why. Small stuffed mooing cows, cows to stick in the dirt outside, cow figurines. I think my FIL finally told her that, no matter what rumors she heard to the contrary, I don't really have an obsessive thing for cows.

:rolleyes1

Hi everyone! :goodvibes

I just wanted to check in quickly )I need to get to bed) and let you know I am ok. The weekend was good with my sisters, and even though one sister leaves tomorrow another one flies in Sunday. It has been a great advantage having 3 siblings in all of this! :goodvibes Makes me think I should have had more kids....

Jill, I wanted to wish you and JP good luck tomorrow with the scan. We'll be thinking of you!

diskim - I am sorry about your job! That jerk! My best friend is a teacher in NY and she had to lie about coming to visit me one time and say it was a close family members' baptism and she was the Godmother. The principal did not ask for proof though.

dizagain - sounds like you're getting my dream home! I'd kill for 3000 sq feet. Who is the builder?

I will catch up more tomorrow. Goodnight everyone. :grouphug:

Diz- 3000 square feet! WOWZERS! I hope it works out.

Jill- keeping little John in my thoughts tomorrow. Please check in with us when you can to let us know.

Fab- I am not sure about the thrush thing- sounds painful! I would at least call the doctor to ask...I hope Madeleine feels much better tomorrow.

And I believe it's time for me to say again, "CRAP ON A CRACKER" LOOK at these new Gymbo lines! There are several pieces that will be in Molly's closet at 10:28, Thursday morning. Specifically that rhumba top and the pink spaghetti strap dress.

http://junkjungle.com/010807_b.html

Looks like Playhouse Disney online added Choo Choo Soul as one of the pages! Just wanted to post a link for the other moms who are fans. Now I can get my Choo Choo fix, on demand! :goodvibes

http://disney.go.com/disneychannel/playhouse/choochoosoul/index_noIntro.html

ALSO ROBIN - thanks for posting that! I see two outfits Cameryn must get, good thing I have one Gymbuck....sad though it won't get me far. Maybe I will just get one outfit?

Hey, Robin, I just sent you an email!

z- I am glad you got to spend time with your sisters!

Kim~ Ugh! I can't blame you for wanting to quit!

ff~ I can't stand watching Teletubbies. There is just something about it that gets on my nerves and makes me want to get rid of the tv. Of course Kylie thinks it's a great show though. That's the way it goes, right? Kids can just be so darn rebellious! ;)

fab~ I hope it's not thrush!

dizagain~ Wow, that house sounds nice just because of the size!

jill~ Good luck tomorrow! I will be thinking of you!

Okay, I know I should be in bed but I have such a hard time going to bed before 2-4 a.m. when I don't have school. I am a major night owl and it's a hard cycle to break. My winter break has completely messed me up. I will feel like dog poo tomorrow but hopefully that will make me tired enough to get back on some sort of sane schedule after this. Night!

Tasha- It looks like we go to bed around the same time. I am a night owl as well.

Alice- Cute new lines.

zalansky- Glad to hear that you had a good weekend. Did you ever book a cruise?

fab- Sorry to hear that Kailey is wetting the bed again.

Jill- Good luck tomorrow. John will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hope Katie feels better soon. I'll post some trip pics soon. I'm so sorry we couldn't meet on the 26th. We spent the day in New Orleans, and we only made it as far as Tallahassee that night (1 AM).

lissawynn- I can't believe our "babies" are about to turn 2. Do you have plans for Jimmy's b-day? Jenna is having a Pooh party. Hoo-Hoo-Hoo! Jenna is turning 2! I'm working on the invitations now.

dizagain- Good luck getting the house. It sounds wonderful.

floridafam- I'll take that melted chocolate any day.

DisKim- I'm sorry your principal treated you that way. If I remember correctly, my former district did require us to provide some form of documentation for absences of 3 or more days. Hope you enjoyed the concert.

GLT- There are many legit sweepstakes for trips to WDW. I try to enter them as much as I can. I have won several small prizes, but nothing big like a trip. My aunt did win a trip to the Grammy Awards once, and she took me for my 16th b-day. There are sticky sweepstakes threads on the Rewards and VMK boards. MouseSavers also has a list. http://www.mousesavers.com/disneysweepstakes.html

nucpharm- Did you decide not to take the Walgreens job?

nyprincess- Glad your DS is feeling better.

icebrat- I think most people use some form of bribery/rewards/reinforcement during PT.

Tamie- Is Tyler going to Mexico too?

Ginamarie- Sounds like you and your mom will be busy for a while. Good luck at work.

TTFN!

Kim - I know where you are coming from regarding the administration at your school. I, too, was a teacher. I was a reading resource teach for first graders at an inner-city school here in Tampa. More or less, it means that I saw 100+ first graders every day to help improve their reading skills. I'm assuming it was because we were inner-city, but we didn't get substitutes very often like all the other schools did, so the administration at my school decided to shut down my classes for the day and put me to substitute in one of the classes that needed a teacher. It would be anywhere from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. Needless to say, at the end of the year after substituting for a month straight in various classrooms, I informed them I would not be returning the following year. It wasn't that I didn't love the kids. They were all so special to me. I just couldn't deal with the administration there anymore. :grouphug:
