SL you never mentioned that the Satan who works at your post office was a triplet!!! Apparently he is and his brothers work at my branch. The postal worker who was referred to as "the rudest woman I've ever met in my life" is a saint compared to the 2 men working today. It was the worst experience and my kids were good!! I have to tell you all about it cause I was so annoyed I need to vent.
The woman in front of me had 3 young kids (also good) and they just kept yelling at our kids. First cause the woman's son stepped a few feet away from her (maybe 5, I mean, it's a small post office believe me he couldn't go far) and they flipped out that she wasn't watching him. I promise he he wasn't doing anything besides looking at some stuff they sell, which is behind a counter so he couldn't even touch it or anything. Then the woman picked up one of those stamp brochures and let her daughter draw on the back and they yelled out that they're not for coloring. It's not like she let them deface all their forms, it was 1 stamp brochure, and I'm assuming that each customer is entitled to one if they so desire.
So I am keeping a close eye on Madison to make sure she doesn't do anything. She's standing behind me looking at the new address packets. Well apparently that annoyed the postal workers so they yell at her. In doing so they scared her, so she jumped and turned towards me, knocking down a hanging shelf and about 300 brochures/packets. Then they start yelling and ranting about that. The woman with 3 kids ran over to help me clean up and we were saying how they must not have any kids or ever been one since they hate everything.
We go back in line and one postal worker starts yelling at the woman for making a mess. None of the mess was hers, it was the back of the stamp paper and little styrofoam pieces on the floor which she had nothing to do with. She told him that and he blamed her kids, none of whom did anything that could cause the mess. (BTW, mom and kids had on Mickey
Crocs so of course they can't be bad people!!

) Then while she's actually being waited on her son starts looking at a display of address labels and touching them. The guy had the nerve to then say "Get him out of here!" She finished her transaction and left. The 2 postal workers then stopped their job to complain and bad mouth her for about 5 minutes. Seriously.
I was now being waited on and the woman behind me asks if they have any "black stamps". The postal worker says "We don't make black stamps. We only make ethnic stamps." Now, the woman was black, so if she chooses to call other people of her own race black I don't see a problem with it. Not like she was trying to be racist or meant anything derogatory by it. So, not understanding what he meant (she was elderly, maybe 70) she clarified by naming some of the people on the stamps she was looking for. He tells her "they're not black, they're brown." She just stares in bewilderment and then requests plain stamps instead.
I had 3 boxes to mail, one of which was huge so I could only bring in the 2smaller ones with my kids and after this planned to just leave and mail the huge box Friday when Joey is off, but then Madison's teacher came in so I figured I'd just ask her to watch Henry and then run to get the box and back. I waited in an enormous line again (even though the teacher held my spot there were still about 900 people in there) and then when I got to the front the guy tried to take the man behind me instead!! I went up anyway and he saw where I was mailing the package (to my in-laws in New Orleans) and he had a momentary lapse of hatred. He asked a little about the town, etc. so I asked if he lived there and he said yeah, he was from there, told me where he lived and all that stuff. I thought "wow, he's human." Only to be proved wrong just seconds later when he printed out my postage before he saw I already had postage on the package and then proceeded to yell at me. Okay, he's a postal worker, I thought it was safe to assume that he'd know what stamps look like and where to find them on a box and that I didn't need to tell him that they were there. I should add that the box was sitting on his scale so the postage was literally inches away from his face, so not like I was hiding it. And it was over $19 so not like it was 1 39 cent stamp or anything either. After listening to him complain for a few seconds I just thanked him (for what I don't know) and left.
I also decided that I will be going back to my old post office from now on. They were sorta fresh there too, but never to me cause they loved Madison. I switched cause I can't really walk to that one anymore and I can walk to the new one, but I'd rather drive and look for a parking spot than deal with the nastiest postal workers in the world anymore. It probably doesn't sound that bad, but I promise you I felt like killing someone when I was in there. The only reason I did not say anything to them was that Madison's teacher was in there and I didn't want to look insane. And let me tell you, I am a very, very calm person, so for me to get that angry says a lot.
I need to get Madison a snack now but I'll be back later to catch up. Oh, and Robin, another AP perk is that you get 10% off at World of Disney!!
