I just found the post about the 70% off. Wow! I'm happy even with 60% off! I think I'm going to order both the first dress (with the belt) and the brown linen dress and the espadrilles and see what looks good. I'm going to also order that last dress for my niece's shower or rehearsal dinner or whatever. Thanks for all the help! I'm always so indecisive!

ETA - THANKS DISPHD!!!! The 70% code worked!!! This is saving me so much money. I was dreading the idea of spending money on dresses for these things.

Diskim, now you have me thinking............ and revisiting the site.

We are going on a DCL 4 night trip in May. I think they have a formal night.

This would work.
http://www.coldwatercreek.com/aspx/...29817&deptId=1&ensembleId=33759&cmPageViewId=

Are you able to get the %70 code to work tonight? I think I need to think about this and as least ask SIL if there is a formal night. This dress would work great for any formal reason though.

I was thinking about your 1st dress with the belt, and while black looks great on anyone, not so sure about a beach wedding though. The purple would be great though. CC does run pretty big in sizes if you haven't ordere from them before.

DisPhd - Yes, the code is still working. I agree that the dress would be much better in the purple but it is only available in black. I just found a silver belt and black espadrilles which I think would look better. I might just place another order. I wasn't able to open your link for some reason. The shipping is kind of pricey!

ETA - The link just worked. That dress is beautiful. That is more the type of dress that I would be looking at for a wedding but I keep getting told that this is very informal. The ushers aren't even wearing tuxes. They are wearing shirts (the spanish shirts ... can't remember the name...the wedding is a Spanish theme) and regular pants.

Oh, the 1st dress is great for a spanish themed wedding. Never mind it is black.

I wish I knew if I needed a formal for the curise. I remember my SIL in one in some her pictures from her last curise.

I have cowboy boots (to go with the dress I ordered yesterday) and the black dress with the shoes that go with it in my cart right now. Something is telling me I should wait a day to place the order though.

I'm not a very good influence when it comes to spending money. I say go ahead and place the order. I'm going to get the silver belt and black espadrilles to go with the dress. I'll just send back the other pieces I bought. I really should stop shopping and go to bed!

Both of you ladies, shame on you! I have been on Coldwater Creek now for 30 minutes and am wishing I had a function to go to so I could rationalize buying one of those dresses! What aan AWESOME deal! I am jealous!!! I may have to look at that dress you got Kim....DisPHD did you say their clothes run big? ;)

Loretta - Ya know, there is lots more than just dresses. I saw some very cute sweaters and some great shoes. There were some great shoes for summer in the clearance section. Gosh - I told you I was bad with spending money. I sound like a pusher!

Me too about going to bed. The just broke into my T.V. show (numbers) and Sadam is dead.

Z, I have found they run big. I am going to order p6 and hope it fits. You are pretty tall I think, and little, so go for the smaller sizes (depending on how big your ****s are.)

I really want the black dress. I just wonder if I should.

Kim, stop inabling. (I do have a store near me I could take them back to) the bad news is they will come while I am gone on vacation. Still someone has to come to feed the cat anyway right?

DisPhd - OMG!! I can't believ Saddam is dead already! They didn't waste any time! I say go ahead and buy the dress. You deserve it and it will look so nice on you ;) .

No more shopping for me! Nightie night ladies!!

I have the black dress (it will be $30) the shoes for it, another black dress (more causual) for only $12 and 2 pairs of cowboy boots. I can't decied between shorter ones and taller ones? Never had a pair before? Any thoughts on this?

Hey gals. I am BEAT! Today was productive but not fun in the least little bit. I would love to respond to you all, but my brain is mush and Annabel is moving around like mad. This little lady is going to be heck on wheels!

First off, we had our house "inspected" today. When I say inspected I mean that the man from the borough came, walked around, and signed off on everything. Nice.
Next, the realtor came to check things out so we can get our final bank draft. The rain gutters won't be done until next Friday, so we're not handing over the remainder of the money until that's done. The contractor can pound sand if that's a problem. He is SO on my $h*t list today.
Then, my sister, the boys, and I headed to the mall. I managed to use two Gymbo gift cards on more spring/summer clearence stuff for Annabel. I got some more really cute pieces. After that I went to Macy's to return the quilt I bought on Black Friday. I got some gorgeous Hotel Collection towels for the bathroom. I got 2 bath sheets (reg. $50), two hand towels (reg. $18), and a bath mat (reg. $20) for $63! I am thrilled. They are so thick and soft. DH is going to have to fight to get one.
After all that fun I hit Target. I got a shower curtain, liner, rod, waste basket, tooth brush holder, and a bunch of misc. stuff for the house. I used the two Target cards I had, but I still spent $83.
Finally, we went to Sam's and loaded up on seafood for NYE. Basically my family and I go to my sisters and gorge on seafood until 12. DH and I barely make it and come home to go to bed.

My sister came back tonight and helped me scrub the bathroom. Here's when I get pi$$ed at the contractor. Our first vanity top was cracked, so they replaced it yesterday. At some point in time, someone scratched the bejeepers out or our brand new faucet. I'm talking gouged the sucker. I had half a mind to call him and tell him to haul his a$$ to Home Depot tomorrow and pick up a new one. It will be replaced or my pregnancy hormones will kick into overdrive and I will get him.
Aside from that I am very pleased with how the bathroom turned out. I will take a pic tomorrow and show it off. As for the rest of the upstairs, you may have to wait until I get things settled. DH hauled up about half of the containers that were in our basement. Now I have to get the energy to put the stuff away.
Tomorrow I'm going to Wal-Mart to buy a tv/dvd player for our bedroom. I am going to use the money my mom gave me for Christmas. I need the noise and distraction while I'm putting things away.

zalansky - You and your sisters look very much alike. I'll have to post a pic of my sisters and me. The little one looks nothing like us. She does belong to us, though. Also, I'll take a pic of the Coach coat and post that, too. I was half tempted to buy one in the spring, but I didn't. I know this is something I can wear forever.

Alice - Score on the Star Wars guys. I didn't even look at any toys while we were there. Jimmy got so much for Christmas and his b-day in only a few short weeks away. Btw, we LOVED the quiet pool at WL. We never used the main pool on our last two stays.

SL - I hope you're feeling better tonight. I cannot imagine what a migraine feels like. Get some rest if you can.

DisKim - I like all of the dresses you posted. I think any of them would be great for the wedding. I also love the shoes.

DisPhD - What did you buy?

FF - I hope the Coke came out of the carpet. Stuff like that happens at my house all the time. I leave something out, Jimmy makes a mess, and DH gets huffy with me. Life goes on...

Quick question - Did any of you have swollen feet during the last weeks of your pg? I NEVER had this with Jimmy, but this time around my feet are swelling almost daily. I'm at 34 weeks on Monday. I would love for Annabel to get here a bit early, but if I know my daughter, she'll wait until she's good and ready to show up.

Night all! Sorry to those of you I missed. I'm hoping to get my wireless connection up and running tomorrow.

Oooooooo! Coldwater Creek shopping! What fun! Love all the dresses ladies!

SL- my migraines often feel like sinus issues at first, but then they settle on one side of my head (ALWAYS my left either above my eye or at my temple) and it's all encompassing- I can't function, it's not just like my head hurts. Imitrex injections do wonders for me 98% of the time- they hurt like a you know what as the medicine burns going in, but within 90 minutes I am usually fine. Definitely look into it with your doctor.

PhD- we are going to be at the WL March 19-24 (then SOG the 24-28). I'm really bumming as we wanted to stay at the Lodge more than anywhere else in the World. ESP because Molly is still in our crib- it's our 'last chance' so to speak to stay there in a regular room. My parents are paying 2/3's of the cost of the WL room and I feel funny asking my mom to yet again upgrade us back to the Poly or the Beach Club or something. (our agreement is that we pay the $103 a night we would have paid for Shades, and my parents are picking up the balance for the WL nights- and we are being charged over $300 a night for WL as it's peak time). The pool is a big part of wherever we stay. However, as I said to DH, it says it will be back at 'the end of March'. *Usually* Disney is ahead of the game with their renovations, and I said maybe it will be back when we're there. We weren't going to swim necessarily our first night, as we get to the hotel around 6 I would guess, and have dinner ressies at 7:30. I know Weds we probably weren't going to have time to swim. Isn't the water slide at CR pretty neat? I thought they rehabbed it (when we were there in 03). I know the volcano pool at the Poly is nice, but what a pain to go all the way over there. I just really, really, REALLY want to stay at the WL *badly* and don't want to switch, but I am unhappy. ESPECIALLY for paying out the wazoo. I am tempted to call Disney reservations and asking for some sort of discount taken off the bill. DH was not happy when he read the letter either. :sad1: If it's back by Friday and Saturday, I will be pleased, as I really had a lot of pool time penciled in on those two days....I will keep my fingers crossed as that is, technically, the END of March and really when Spring Break starts full swing.

lissawynn- just saw your post. Yes, I got puffy feet with numbers 2 and 3. Not so much with my first. My second was the WORST as he was born at the end of June and it was getting hot. Just take it easy- how is your blood pressure doing? Make sure it's not getting elevated. I can't wait to see pics of your new addition! Hope the faucet is replaced!

DingDong, the evil dictator is dead.... DH really thinks it will make a strong difference for the better in Iraq. He said when he was there and talking with Iraqi citizens and soldiers, they were REALLY afraid of him coming back, no matter what was said by the gov't, and he thinks that this will help the people trust their gov't to make changes for the better. I sure hope so. I told you guys he wanted to go back, right? He even talked with some Oregon battalion that's going in May, but they didn't need any more Staff Sgts THANK GOD. I wasn't happy when he told me he did that.

ETA- Edited out my Saddam is dead smilie- maybe that was a bit tacky. ;-)

Lissa, that is good about the house. Things are moving now.

Ok, so I placed the order.

The black formal dress ($30)
The shoes for it (20)
The short cowboy boots ($20)
and another black dress, more casual (12)

With tax and shipping it came out to just under $100.

The total before was 275. Now how do I tell DH?

Hi all!

I have so much to catch up on!

Jill - great pictures from your trip! Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Congrats on your A+ too, that's great! Ouch on the price of glasses!

alice - sounds like your gymbo stuff is going well. Good deal on the Star Wars guys. I couldn't believe how dessimated Target's toy dept. was yesterday. I'll have to wait awhile to get Tyler a replacement to his 3rd container of legos. Sorry to hear the pool will be closed.

ff - i was just at Victoria's Secret today, I didn't see those pj's there. Sorry about the coke and the rug.

lissawynn - I would be ticked about the faucet too. I can't wait to see a picture of the bathroom. The coach coat sounds nice.

sl - Sorry about the migraines. I got those a bit when I was on the pill and then got them right after i had Tyler.

diskim - cute dresses! That's great that your daughter is being responsible with the dog.

val - sorry you're still feeling like crud.

z - great picture of you and your sisters!

phd - good deals on the CC stuff!

I know I'm missing so many mommies - I'm going off of memory and apparently my memory is not so good right now. I'm also typing on DH's laptop, which I never do (we just got wireless) so forgive my typos!

I'm off to try and find a big beach bag for vacation and some sandles for dh. Oh, for those who asked, we leave in 2 weeks!

New Year's plans - Tyler is going to grandma and grandpa's house and we are going up to the fish house again this year, just dh and I. We bought some steak and shrimp and we'll have a couple of cocktails and play some games. I'm looking forward to it.

Oh - is it Bellacam who's our brave girl and gets bikini waxes? Are there any other brave girls who can convince me that I won't die if I get it done? ;) I know I won't, but I'm sooo nervous! I just know I should get it done if I'm going to be in a swimsuit for a week.

OK - enough rambling for me - gotta run!

tamie

Tamie - I had my eyebrows waxed and that was enough for me. I don't think I could brave the bikini wax.

DisPhd - That's a great deal for all that stuff! I hope you got it. Just tell your DH that your friend said you deserve it ;) .

lissawynn - I'm glad that the house is moving along. I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've had. Those things never seem to go smoothly. It sounds like Annabel is doing well from the description of how much she moves :goodvibes .

Dog training went well last night. According to DH, Irish is much smarter than his brothers. He said the other 2 are much bigger than him too. I hope that doesn't mean that Irish is the runt. The vet said there is no runt in this litter. Anyway, I think the training was a good idea. Emmy was working with him already this morning.

Well, it's one of those days where I don't know what to do first. I better get started!

Oh - is it Bellacam who's our brave girl and gets bikini waxes? Are there any other brave girls who can convince me that I won't die if I get it done? ;)

It is, but it's been a while for me and I am terrified to go again! I always bring Solarcane spray and have a martini before I go!

Tamie--I am so with you on being terrified of the wax! My dsil got a brazilian a while ago and she tried to convince me it wasn't that bad--come on!!!! But, I'm still trying to work up the courage to get the bikini before our beach/wdw trip--we'll see!

alice--too funny about leaving the bread crumbs to find our way in DFIL's house--it really is that big! Our whole house is smaller than his bottom level. It was like staying in a fancy hotel--but it's hard to explain to the kids that we really don't agree with how FIL spent his money--oh well!

DisneyPhd and Kim--Score on the Coldwater creek deals!!! I would've checked them out but I got GCs to Chicos and JJill for xmas so I will shopping there first!

Well, DH and BIL are heading to see their grandma at the nursing home this am, so off to kid duty for me! Chat later!

Just an FYI mommies,

Apple has the $29 refurbished ipod shuffles up on their website again.

I ordered one for DH for Christmas so he doesn't have to use his video one while he does his workouts and he really likes it. It's nice not to have to worry about losing it or breaking it because it's only $29.

I ordered 2 for my 2 oldest children and then wondered why I didn't get one for myself so I went back and ordered one for myself.

I still have a lingering feeling around my right eye, but I'm feeling better for the most part. Today we're going to try to make it to the mall and then out to dinner with DH's cousins who are visiting from Florida.

Diskim & Disneyphd - WTG on the Coldwater Creek orders!

Alice28 - I don't know if I could give myself injections...DH had to do my insulin when I had GD. Doesn't it come in pill form, too? That's what I'd want.

tkyes - Good luck with the wax!

lissawynn - Sorry your faucet got dinged up. Hope they'll replace it without any trouble.

bellacam - Love the martini idea! I'll have to file that away for future use.

Thank you all for welcoming me :)

Do y'all mind if I jump in with a Mom question? Have any of you ever had a baby diagnosed with a milk allergy or lactose intolerant? What are the symptoms? I'm finding confusing information when I google it.

As for the bikini wax, it is a little painful, but so worth it. Particularly if you have any sensitivity to shaving.
