lissawynn - I am so sorry to hear about your student's death. I went through one a few years ago and it was like losing a family member. I was close with this student. He and his friends would actually stay after class and continue the discussions about the literature with me. The poor boy died in his sleep at college. The memorial was horrible. So many of my students were there. The boy's girlfriend was there all by herself. I couldn't believe a parent didn't go with her. Anyway, I'm rambling. I'm so very sorry.

That neighbor is insane. Who would compete for a contractor against a pregnant woman? I hope you get the money first!

Aidan is a BEAR today. I just put him down for a nap and he is not happy.

In case anyone was worried, my hair looks much better now that I washed it and did it myself. Actually, my hair is the kind that needs to have nothing done to it at all. A little gel or mousse and I'm on my way. When people try to style it or blow dry it, I look like a freak.

J&D - Let me know if you hear anything definite about the electronics on the plane. I was going to bring the kids' gameboys and the dvd player. I don't want to bring them if they are going to make me get rid of them.

OK, I have some laundry to do and a little more packing. Luckily, I have a late flight tomorrow so I'll have time to get some last minute things done.

I've decided I'm not going to attend the viewing for my former student. I can see the lines of grieving kids at the funeral home, and with my already wacko hormonal state, I just think it would be best if I stayed home. I am going to send a card to her family and make the donation to the library. This is the first time I've lost a former student, and it's terrible when tragedies like this happen. I've lost a lot of my hs school classmates since graduation, and I really feel bad for the 19 year olds who have to deal with death under these circumstances.

As far as my neighbor is concerned, let her have her addition first. If she's that selfish and wants to have her house done before us, so be it. Why is it that so many of these "grown" women act as if they're in high school? Is she jealous or something? I know that money is tight for them b/c she stays home and they have four kids to raise. I don't know if their twins were planned, but she's been especially p***y since they were born. It's funny that their last name is Jones and DH is always telling me we're not in competition with the Joneses. I think she's in some kind of lame a** competition with us and I don't even know about it!

Alice - Do you love your Outback? We're thinking of trading in the Tahoe for one and everyone we know who has one raves about it. It seems to have plenty of room, not like we have now, but enough. It would cut our car payment down by almost $200 a month. That's money we can put toward the house and my pool!

lissawynn- yes, we have LOVED our Outback. I am sorry to sell it next month. We have had it 4 years and have not had one problem with it. The AWD is incredible- before we had the Outback, we never realized how stable the AWD makes a car drive. It gets pretty good gas mileage (a little less than other cars its size because of the AWD), the trunk area is quite roomy (roomier than the Tribeca when the rear seats are up!), and like I said, the handling is just awesome. It will get you anywhere you want to go, in any sort of weather. We had a freak ice storm here a couple years ago, and literally, the ONLY cars on the road without chains were Subarus!

We swear by the Subaru brand now. I recommend them to ANYONE. I think the Outbacks are slightly nicer than the Forresters; on the interior anyway.

We are only selling it because we want a truck, my dad is giving us his for free, and that will enable us to pay off this last credit card- (that we've charged the carpet, bed, our DL trip, etc). We wouldn't sell it if we didn't have the Tribeca- we really like having an AWD car to depend on in the rare bad weather here in Portland.

:sunny:

So far I have the house cleaned, laundry going, and the red paint trim fixed. I am taking a quick break and then will start on the white trim. The boys have gone thru some toys to do a 'yard sale.' Our entire 15 block radius or so neighborhood does a HUGE yard sale this weekend every year. It's sponsored by a local realtor. So, two of our neighbors have the signage up, and my boys are whining that they want to earn money too. They have two boxes of crappy toys out there- I'm hoping they just each earn $3. So far....$1. Tonight they are to put all their toys in the small storage room off the large bedroom, and their books. Tomorrow all the clothes will get moved downstairs....Sunday the furniture. We are going to my parent's tomorrow to trade their van for the truck, so we can make a dump run. What a chore!

I haven't read the posts yet because it's been a busy, PITA day but I will try to read them later. Hope you all are well!

We found out this morning that dh didn't get paid through workman's comp. this payday like he is supposed to! He got paid for the one week he worked before taking leave and then the following week he should have gotten paid through workman's comp. and he didn't! We can't live on half a freakin' paycheck! His boss called HR at the main office and the woman over it is on vacation. She will be back Monday. Dh is meeting with his boss Monday and they are going to try to straighten it out then. Of course I am stressing because we are on 1 income and rely on it! Plus, Kylie starts daycare Tues. and I need to have money to cover that. I swear, it's one thing after another lately! Oh, and dh's boss told him today that he can't come back to work until after he has his postop checkup on Thurs. so he won't be going to work Monday afterall. It looks like I have him here for another week!

I was so stressed earlier and just needed to get out of the house so we decided to take Kylie to see Blue (from Blue's Clues) at the mall. What a rip off! All it was was a man sitting on a bench with a stuffed Blue puppet on his hand! Are you kidding me?! And people and kids were in an hour long line to see him! Not this family! We let Kylie ride the carousel and we left. Thank God she is too young to really care because I would not wait in a line for something so lame regardless! A freaking foot tall puppet on a guy's hand?! Geez!

Anyway, Kylie has morphed from my sweet, happy-go-lucky, angel into this temper-tantrum throwing, whining, nightmare toddler lately! She is driving me mad! I know this is normal but she is making the idea of sending her to daycare just a tad easier to get used to! I mean that in the nicest way because I love her with all my heart and she still is very sweet a lot of the time but she is just so maddening lately. She whines over the littlest things lately! Ugh! I have had such an awful day. The only good thing is I have lost a little more weight so that helped make me feel a little better anyway. I am actually looking forward to going to school Tues. just to get away for a bit. I need a vacation and am not able to take one for 9 more months! :(

Okay, well, I put Kylie down for a nap b/c she is sooo tired but she is having a tantrum and refusing to sleep so I guess I'll just feed her dinner now and put her to bed early. Sorry for the vent. It has just been one thing after another lately and I think I have handled everything very well till now but this whole screwed up paycheck just sent me over the edge and my mood sucks right now. I just need a long hot bath...

I love everyone's baby photos! It's funny to see how some kids really look different now while others you could easily tell who they are. I tried to upload some photos but Madison moved the cable I guess cause I found it tonight in her toybox. So I'll have to do that tomorrow, or maybe tonight if I remember. Henry's got a thing for nursing in this horribly uncomfortable desk chair rather than in my bed at night so I end up sitting by the computer anyway. I usually don't turn it on, but maybe I will tonight.

His bilirubin level is still high-17.6 at today's heel prick. The lab is closed this weekend so his dr said to come back in on Monday and she'll see if he needs another heel prick, or if we think he's looking pretty yellow or more yellow than now then we should bring him to the hospital Sunday for another test. I don't know what to do right now though, cause I really hate to take him in if I don't have to cause that screaming from the heel prick is so hard to listen to, but Monday just seems like a long time if it is still rising. He does eat well though so we haven't had to supplement with formula since Monday. I would have kept doing it only so he didn't have to deal with breastmilk jaundice too (which we think may be kicking in right now) but he is not a bottle fan at all and would either force the bottle out of his mouth or vomit up whatever formula I managed to squeeze in.

And today his dr got the metabolic screen back and said his tyrosine level was borderline normal so they have to rescreen for that on Monday. That can affect the liver so if there is something wrong it could be causing the jaundice. The dr told my husband not to tell me about that so I don't worry, but he did and I started to read some stuff about it and so now of course I'm in a panic cause it mentioned something about neurological deficits being possible. Oh, and I don't think I said this already, maybe I did, but he also has a hypospadias so we have to go to the urologist on Wednesday to hear that he'll most likely need surgery to correct that. So all that circumcision stuff was sorta unecessary since they couldn't do it anyway cause they have to save the foreskin in case they need it in the hypospadias repair. The good news though is that he gained 2 ounces from yesterday so he's 8 lbs. 1 oz. now, so he's on target to regain his birthweight by the 10-14 days that his dr wants. Oh, and if his tyrosine level turns out fine, then his dr thinks the only reaosn for this jaundice is that he was 36 weeks and his liver is just too immature to support his body. Since he's pretty big, but young gestationally, his liver just may not be able to handle its job yet. My husband had the jaundice from blood type incompatibility, but since I'm A+ his dr said that he can't be incompatible with me no matter what his blood type is. I assumed his was A+ too, cause Joey always said his was, but tonight I was talking to him mom and she said he's AB+ so who knows. We did keep him in the sun a bit today, but the past 2 days were really cloudy so that didnt' help us too much. Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit cooler and sunny so I'm gonna take him to sit in the park for awhile and get some uv. I think if his bili levels go down or I find out what's up with his tyrosine level then I'd feel a lot better.

And Madison is actually doing really well with him so far. She's really concerned with where he is at every minute, but she's still afraid to get too close to him. She'll touch his arms, legs, and sometimes the top of his head, but that's it. I tried to get her to hold him a couple of times but she told me only I hold him, not her, that she just holds his arms. She has given him Nick a couple of times though, so that's a good sign cause he's reserved only for very special people. (I should add that she gave him to Jill at the meet so that says a lot about her!)

Lissawynn, so sorry to hear about your student. I agree with you that it's best to skip the funeral right now. And your neighbor does sound like a nutcase. Who in their right mind would fight about whose house gets done first? How childish! Especially since they do not even have plans yet.

DisKim, have a great trip and enjoy ME if you end up taking it. We used it in March and I have to admit that it was kinda fun cause we met some other people staying at our resort, which made for a much more exciting ride than just me and Madison alone since everyone else flew in separately from us.

DisneyPhD, congrats to your friend! Her l&d sounds a lot like mine, even down to not telling her husband that her water broke so he wouldn't worry. Joey didn't find out till he got up for work cause I knew if I told him at 2:30am he'd be up all night and there was really no reason for that. And don't feel bad about letting her drive home-I drove to the hospital myself 1.5 hours before Henry was born cause I just couldn't wait any longer for someone to drive me but I was okay. I have to say though, as much pain as a natural childbirth was, I felt totally normal right after the delivery so it sorta seems worth the pain. But of course, I was only in severe pain an hour, if it had been much longer I know I'd feel differently.

Jill that kid in your daughters art class sounds like a joy. I don't know why parents tolerate behavior like that from kids that old. I don't allow Madison to do that now, but I can't imagine if she were 8. Madison had a kid like that in her class, but he's 2.5 so it's more excusable, and I think he had a disability too. I found out from Madison's favorite teacher that he was the real reason she was moved from the class- cause there were 2 teachers in Madison's class but this kid was so bad that they needed more help, so they had to take 2 teachers out of another group to just watch this 1 little boy so they moved her teacher to replace the other 2. Incidentally the same kid hit my butt on Thursday when I picked up Madison-talk about a surprise! And I think your girls are pretty perfect! John too!

Henry is smelly so I should go change him then maybe head to bed. Have a good weekend everyone!

Here are some photos. For some reason they didn't all upload so these were the best of what did. The first one is in the hospital, about 6 hours after he was born, 2nd was later that day, and the 3rd I took tonight.

ETA: Here are some of Madison. The 1st one she's a day old-this is what she wore for her portrait-and the 2nd one she's a couple of weeks, under a month though.

Hi ladies. I cannot sleep. My sister made a delicious dinner for us to celebrate DH's bday, and I ate too much and am paying for it now. I just took a Zantac and a swig of Coke to help me burp. I'm also going to attempt to sleep sitting up for a while.
DH spilled grape juice on the sofa when we got home. This is the same khaki colored fabric that you cannot scrub or get wet. Yes, he bought it before I lived here and it was never Scotchguarded. Another stain to add to the collection. I am so looking forward to the day when our kids are "grown" and we can get new stuff. I'm talking 5 years from now. I'm thinking leather, but I'll be hiding the Sharpies ;) .

justthat - I hope Henry's levels go down soon. Those heel pricks are terrible. Like I said earlier, a few days in the sunshine cleared Jimmy up, but he was never at elevated levels.

Tasha - I'd be ticked about the paycheck thing, too. I know I depend on my money being there cause most of it's already spoken for.

Alice - I see tons of Outbacks on the road, so they must be good cars. Since I live a stone's throw from my job and we usually cancel when the roads are bad, I'm not really concerned about driving in bad weather. I do not like to drive in ice or snow. I know my limits, so I just stay home. I have to say, the idea of saving that extra money each month is very appealing. I just love being in something big and not getting pushed around the road when I'm on the highway.

I'm gonna attempt sleeping. I hope you're all having a good night.

Buzznbelle-Glad that Luke’s making good use of the formula. It was just sitting on the shelf here. I kept one container just in case we need it over the next couple of months.

Lissawynn- What a nutty neighbor! I really don’t know what is wrong with some people! (I ask myself that question at least once a day though).

Alice- I can’t stay off of the BB spoiler thread either.

Zalansky- I agree with keeping Janelle in the house for entertainment value. I like this season because with all the twists and turns you can’t be sure who’s going to be evicted right away. In prior seasons certain weeks you kind of knew who was going as soon as HoH was revealed.

FloridaFam- A friend of mine had the same problem with his military records being lost in that fire. It took him a long time to get everything verified :(
Good luck with your mom having to testify.

Tasha- Gee, when it rains it pours, you know? I hope the paycheck situation gets worked out, and that you had a relaxing bath to calm you down.

Justhat- Definitely take the baby out into the sun tomorrow. I did that with Olivia (taking her out on the deck to be in the sun) and I think it helped with her jaundice. I also went a little nutty reading about all of the possible effects, but it sounds like his bili levels are all within a normal range considering he was born early and everything. I remember thinking that Olivia looked so yellow, but my uncle (who’s an ER doctor) said she wasn’t anywhere near the dangerous levels- some baby’s levels get over 25 or higher.
It sounds like Madison is doing really well with him. My DBro(3) has been really sweet with Olivia, but I’m supercareful because he’s a huge kid and doesn’t always realize his own strength. I just started letting him “hold” her the last week or so, but it’s basically the two of them sitting next to me on the couch and I hold Olivia and just lean her up against him.

Awww, what cute pictures!

It’s almost midnight, but I’m restless again. DH was exhausted and went to bed a couple of hours ago. He got Olivia to sleep in her basinet around 9:30 while I was in the shower, which was nice. Tomorrow we need to go to the bank and set up a savings account for Olivia and then we’re going to BIL’s 30th birthday party. I can’t believe my birthday is next week. I’ve been so busy that I’m not in a birthday mood at all!

Wow, quiet evening here. I thought I would come home from my jaunt and then cleaning and there would be a ton of posts.

Justhat- Aw, Henry is so cute! I love it when they still pull their legs up naturally- so used to being tight in the womb. Saying a prayer his bili levels go DOWN this weekend. It's so frustrating, I know. :guilty: You feel like you are doing everything right, and it's still not working. I felt that way with J's jaundice and Molly's lack of weight gain for her first 2-3 weeks. It's so draining. Now look at her- she's huge.

lissawynn- the nice thing about the Outback is, you still are sorta high up off the ground- of course you won't feel that way after your Tahoe, but we had a Ford Contour before the Outback, a midsize car for sure, and I definitely sat several inches higher off the ground in the Outback- I loved it. And ha-ha about getting a leather sofa, but no sharpies allowed. ;)

I'm sorry your indigestion is acting up again. I hate that feeling!

Tasha- oh man, if we skipped a check here, we would be in trouble! We have some savings, but not much! I sure hope it all gets ironed out before you have to pay any bills! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: And I hope Kylie snaps out of her little phase!

I decided to get out of the house around 3; already bad traffic on the freeways! Ugh. Anyway, we went to my two favorite shopping centers about 7-9 miles from here. This one shopping center is one of those new, trendy outdoor 'malls'- I know I have shared here before about it, but it so reminds me of Downtown Disney without being Disney! Very upscale, twinkly lights in the trees, fountains, a nice playstructure in the middle- great restaurants like CA Pizza Kitchen, PF Changs, a NW chain called McCormick and Schmidts, and a few others I am forgetting. And fancy stores like BCBG, Coach, Talbots, Sur la Table...plus the Container Store, Coldwater Creek, Crate and Barrel - I wish I was rich and could afford to shop at more of the stores! I did get another toy 'drawer' to add to Joshua's few he already had at the Cont. Store. Then we just walked around and spotted a Wetzel's Pretzels in the fanciest kiosk ever- Sam was like, "JUST LIKE DISNEY!" That's my kid! The halloween costumes that end tomorrow on ebay I think are going to fetch me a mint- probably at least $100, maybe $120. So I asked DH if I could have a spa day again in a few weeks, and he said sure. So I went in Coldwater Creek Spa and made myself an appt for an "ultimate pedicure" and the "essential massage." I had a real hard time choosing between the massage, the body scrub and the facial.....but I usually am wishing for a massage, so I went with that. I have a buy one service, get one 50% off, so it should be right around $120 or so with tip. :cloud9: Can't wait, but it's not until the Friday before Labor day- DH has that day off, and I'm tired of all our Saturdays being tied up with appts.

THEN I took the kids to the 'fancy' mall and I didn't spend a dime! YAY me! I wanted to look in PBK to see if there was anything I needed for the boy's new room. Nope. Cool puzzles and stuff though. Then I went in Janie and Jack. I almost fainted. I want this entire line for Molly, but either A. I need to win the lotto, B. Mom needs to come with me with her credit card, or C. I need to wait for it to be 50% off and still only buy 2-3 pieces....http://www.janieandjack.com/shop/de...3&PRODUCT<>prd_id=1666835&bmUID=1155349429331 I am a sucker for lilac purple for clothes- both for myself and Molly. Way more than pinks.

The boys wanted to look in the Lego store, so we did and I peeked for 5 seconds in babyGap. Cute stuff there too, but I forgot my bucks back I had earned last credit card statement  , so I didn't want to buy anything without that. And then we left! I went to Target and bought cat food and a bag of chips. And we spent $10 on Wendy's for dinner. DH had to work late.

I got about 1/4 of the stuff moved out of the boys room. It's totally daunting. I will work a little more on it after I sign off here. It's the books that really need to be weeded through, but I have a REALLY hard time getting rid of books. I have two boxes in the basement that were mine when I was young. The boys so far aren't 'readers' like DH and I were. I want them to be though.... :guilty:

OK, well, I hope everyone has a peaceful night. Good thoughts to Kim and Gretchen's families for their flights tomorrow!

ETA .05 click again on Sunshine!

Robin - That outside mall sounds so nice! I live in such a small town. We only have one supermarket and a couple of small stores. They are finally putting in a Home Depot after much controversy. It's ridiculous. I have to drive 20 minutes to get to civilization. I really hated that when I first moved here but now I've gotten used to it.

justhat - Henry is so adorable! Congratulations again. I was thinking the same thing Robin said. I love when they put their legs up because they are so used to the womb. I'm such a mush when it comes to babies. What a blessing! Madison looks so cute with her big brown eyes. You have a beautiful family :goodvibes .

lissawynn - Did you put DH in time out for spilling juice on the couch? I don't know why but it cracked me up. It sounds like something Jimmy would do. I discovered one of my living room couches has a broken leg and I'm so happy. I've been wanting to get rid of those couches but had no excuse because they are not very old.

Well, I must get myself in gear. I have places to go and things to do today......like Disney World :dumbo: :simba: :figment: :goofy: :sulley: :tigger: :ccat: :mickeyjum :donald:

Morning. I slept like crap. I had a weird dream about a huge python-like snake trying to get into my dad's house, then Jimmy woke up screaming at some terrible hour, finally, DH was up before 7 b/c he's going four-wheeling with some friends.
I decided to start the laundry since I'm wide awake. I also popped my first Zantac of the day. If I don't take two a day, I'm a mess. Only 6 more months to go!

We have nothing planned today. I guess I'll just work around here until DH comes back. I am going to try to squeeze in a nap some time.

DisKim and Gretchen - Have a great time in WDW!

Just wanted to stop in real quick to say:

Have a safe and wonderful trip, Diskim and Gretchen :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc ! We can't wait to hear all about it when you get back :teeth: .

Justhat,
Henry is adorable  ! I love that family shot of all of you together. I'm still praying that his bili levels start to drop very soon. I know the heel pricks are terrible :guilty: . The sun really helped both of mine with their jaundice so I hope you can get outside today.

Robin,
That mall sounds great! I wish I had one around here. We don't have anything too nearby either. We have to drive about 10-15 miles to Walmart  much further for anything else. Hence, why I am the online shopping queen :teeth: . They are supposed to be building a us a nice outdoor shopping plaza opening next year.

Tasha,
Sorry about the wormen's comp. getting screwed up :furious: ! I hope they straighten it out on Monday. I hope Scott is continuing to feel better.

Lissawynn,
Sorry about the heartburn. With my ds that was the absolute worst part of being pregnant. I felt like I could spit fire  . I'm so excited for you about the addition. It sounds wonderful. Good luck with nutty neighbor. I guess there's one on every street.

Hi to Loretta, FF, GM, GLT, SL, Hillbeans, Nucpharm, BnB, and everyon !

I have a million things to do this morning so I really should get going here. The reunion is at 12 and it's a bit of a drive.

TTYL :wave2:

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I haven't had time to catch up. I just wanted to offer two Pampers coupons. They're both $1.50 off any size Pampers jumbo pack or larger and expire 10/31/06. First to PM me can have them both.

I'll try to catch up later. Lucas woke up too early today so I'm hoping he'll have a nice long nap later.

Hope the travellers have a safe trip!

Good morning all! Ahh, another weekend with little on the agenda--I better enjoy it while I have the chance, once school and activities start back up, I'll be running amok!

Kim and Gretchen--I hope you both have wonderful trips! Fill us in on the details when you return!

justthat--Henry is just a little doll! I'm sure his jaundice will be behind you soon--it sounds likes he's gaining well. It's just so hard when you have such a little one and they're not quite right. BTW, when I had Robert, it was the cutest thing. We were so worried about how Jocelyn would handle her new little brother. She ignored him in the hospital, and then we took him hom ein the evening, figuring she'd sleep in the car on the way home, plus I could rest longer in the hospital (you knew I was going to get zero rest once I got home!). Anyway, we're driving hoem, and Jocelyn is just babbling and babbling in the back seat the whole way. DH and were talking, so we weren't paying too close attention. Then we start listening in--she's going, "Da da da da, my house. Da da da da da, my house." Eventually it dawns on us--she's telling baby Robert all about what it's like to live at her house, and all the things he's going to see and do there! So, we figured she'd be okay with her new brother. They still bicker like an old married couple, though.

lissawyn--what are we going to do about DHs who don't listen! You tell them time and again not to drink grape juice in the living room, and they do it anyway! Sheesh!

Robin--we're big on books here. That's probably my biggest storage/clutter problem. I'd love to tell you that we read to the kids all the time, but we really don't. Both girls prefer to "read" to themselves, even before they could actually read words. I did read to Robert a ton, but we were told he was retarded and would have difficulty learning to read, so I read to him until he was hoarse because I wanted so much for him to love books even if reading would be difficult. well, joke's on the "experts"--he learned to read at 3, and when they tested him in K, he got 95% at a 6th grade level in reading! Our biggest problem now is, when he thinks his teacher isn't going fast enough, he'll pull out a novel and start reading it. And no lie--he's got Charlotte Bronte and Charles Dickens books beside his bed, and he reads them when he's supposed to be sleeping. But, being Robert, he's never average on anything--he stopped wetting the bed less than 2 years ago (he's 9). Just so you don't think I've got it easy! Anyway, my point was, I dont' know how to get kids to love reading, but everyone in this house does, and so I can't bring myself to throw out even ratty books because we all love them so.

Well, that's enough for now. I think I'll cyber-shop for a while!

Ok! I finally have a minute. Yesterday was a little crazy, both at work and at home. Nothing bad, just busy. I think we're going to have a relaxing day today and maybe just hit the mall. Tomorrow, DH and I are going to Yankee Stadium and Lucas is going to spend the night at my parents' house. I probably won't get a chance to get online tomorrow unless we get home early enough.

Also, the Pampers coupons have been claimed. :sunny:

lissawynn - at your neighbor. What a middle-schooler! I'm so sorry to hear about your former student. How sad.

ryan - I can't believe what happened to your car! I hope it's not too expensive to get fixed.

floridafam - Good luck to your parents on your brother's case.

Alice28 - Good luck moving everything.

Tasha - :furious: I hope everything with your DH's worker's comp gets settled. I know what it's like when each paycheck counts.

justhat - I love the pictures! I hope Henry can get a little sun this weekend.

ginamarie - Have a good time at the birthday party.

val - Have a good time at the reunion. Where is it being held? If it's outside, you've got a great day for it!

BnB - I think it's great your DS is such a reader. I was too, but I always read crap, not the classics! I don't read much now because I like to have a good chunk of time devoted to it - not reading a page here or there when I have time which is what I'd be doing now.

Happy and safe travels to Gretchen and Kim!

Hi to all the other moms! I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.

Good morning all.....

Robin - that Janie & Jack line is adorable. I try not to go in that store when I go to the mall because quite frankly, Cam doesn't need any more clothes and also I am not about to spend as much (or more) money on her clothes as I do on mine.

justthat - Thanks for posting some more pics. I love your family hospital shot. You all look a little tired but still look good - it is a great shot!

vald - again, enjoy that reunion!

Tasha - I hope that your DH's paycheck issue gets worked out asap. We are bad and pretty much live paycheck to paycheck too so if that happened I would be a mess. Sorry that happened.

Hi to everyone else! :wave2:

Connor started pre-school last Monday, he goes every day from 8:30-12pm. He has been doing great, no tears, not even the first day. But he is a social little one. It has been nice because Cameryn naps in the morning too, so I am finding myself with a 2 hour reprieve every day. It is saving my sanity!

21 days until we leave for Boardwalk. We are tossing around the idea of getting a sitter and taking Connor to Blizzard Beach one day.

Tonight we are going out for dinner and to Howl at the Moon (like Jellyrolls) - I am looking forward to it though DH would rather stay in. He is such a pill at times. I am the party girl and he is the couch potato. Totally anti-social at times and it is annoying! I know alot of men are like this so I take it with a grain of salt and just deal with it = GIRLS NIGHT OUT. Too bad we all don't live close, we could do one together.

Have a great day everybody. :joker:

Alice- kudos for not spending money at the mall.. it’s such a tough thing to do! The Jane and Jack stuff looks adorable.

DisKim and Gretchen- Have a great time at WDW!!!

Lissawynn- sorry you had a tough night! I had a really hard time getting to sleep, but slept pretty heavily from 2:30-6:30, when Olivia woke up starving.

Zalansky- It’s great that Connor took to preschool so well. My mom was thinking about sending DBro(3) this year, but decided to wait until next year.

We got to the bank this morning and set up Olivia’s first bank account. I have Olivia all dressed up in her dress from DSis’ Sweet 16, but had to cover her dress with a bib, because she’s such a drooler lately. The last couple of days she’s finally been able to focus and use some hand-eye coordination to grab things. It’s great because she gets the object, tastes it and then can’t figure out what to do with it. Very cute! She’s also been completely mesmerized by the mirror on her playmat. OK, have to run because I hear some noises that are going to need a diaper change ASAP!

We just heard on the computer. It was the power supply. Everything should be good to go now that that is replaced.

It's going to be over $200 but that's a lot better than having to buy a new Mac.

I am not going to use it until we get the proper UPS device that can handle that particular computer.

That's the good news. The bad news is that DH and I had a "spat" last night and I don't even know why. Kona is teething, he has to go to Michigan on short notice and everything just got to the both of us I guess.

:confused3

Robin,

I look at the Janie and Jack website often. They have such cute stuff on there. I won't buy from there unless the item is on sale. I also love the lilac colored stuff on my girls.

My DD 7 has such a pretty lilac coat and hat. I want Kona to have the same one but she wouldn't get much use out of it here in Florida.

It's this one www.duesorelleonline.com/retail_1.html

She looks so cute in it.

Congrats on not buying anything at the mall. It sounds like all of the bedrooms are coming along.

lissawynn,

I've never driven a Subaru. We also have a Tahoe and I really don't like it. I feel like there isn't enough room in there. I know it sounds strange. I want a Jeep. We had a Cherokee for so long and only bought the Tahoe because my Dad works for a GM company and we got a good deal on it.

Many people had Subaru vehicles in our town up North. I really like the looks of them.

I hope your MS goes away soon. :grouphug:

justhat,

I'll say a prayer for Henry's levels to come down this weekend. He is such a cutie!!!!

:wave2:

We got invited to another wedding in Sept. At least I have a dress to wear to this one. ;) I just checked out their wedding registries online and will probably end up giving them cash or a gift card. Jimmy needs to take a nap as we're headed out to Bethlehem, PA, for Musicfest tonight. It's basically an excuse to eat lots of good food for me. Fair season is beginning here and I will be eating my way through all of them.

floridafam - Glad to hear you Mac isn't dead. I hate computer issues.

Alice - I've never heard of J&J, but we don't have any real upscale kids clothing places nearby. I'm sure there's one at the King of Prussia mall near Philly.

Ginamarie - The ms is starting to subside; now it's the indigestion that's killing me.

zalansky - I hope your DH lightens up and you have a good time tonight!

I have to "attempt" to get Jimmy down for a short nap before we leave or he'll be horrible later.

Hi gals-

Well, I got thru the books. DH is on his way to Goodwill right now with 2 boxes full. Yikes. Their room is almost cleaned out of 'stuff'- just the pieces of furniture and clothes are in there now. We haven't started on our room yet, but we don't have 1,478 toys either. ;)

We also decided on a bed to buy- we found a made in America bed that is like the Tempur-Pedic, but $1,000 less! We just have to order it. And we will most likely be sleeping on our mattress on the floor until then. How college student of us!

My mom called again this morning- they leave Dublin tomorrow, for a quick jaunt into Wales, and then Scotland for a couple days. She's still loving it. DH was like, "She will so want to go back, your dad won't really care, so you will get to go and she'll take you to Paris Disneyland!" Ha- ha----we'll see about that....I can't imagine going to Europe in the next few years...maybe when I turn 40 and the kids are old enough for DH to handle for a week or two.

(that's only 6 years away...............OMG.................)

FF- I'm sorry you and your DH had a spat. We had a doozy of one on Weds night. I'm just so hormonal and irritable with all this moving and cleaning going on, I just blew at DH. I think I told you guys that. things are fine now; and I'm sure they are with you and your DH too.

That coat is so pretty! I entered a 'guess how many legos' contest at the Lego store for a mall $100 gift card. I entered my mom too. ;) IF I win, guess where I will be spending that gift card! LOL! For one whole outfit at J and J! (If that!).

Z- I hope you and your DH have a good time tonight. I'm kind of more of a homebody, and DH is the social bee...but once I am there I have a good time.

BNB- wow, Robert is quite the impressive reader! The only books Sam gets excited about are the Captain Underpants books, and some other series by Dav Pilkey...I found stacks of chapter books I have bought him this year...he needs to get cracking on some of them!

Well, I need to go take a pill- the sun was glaring off the window right in my eyes, and those are the types of things that will trigger a migraine for me. I'm pi$$ed....I don't need a headache today!

Oh- just have to share that my costumes went for $103! :cheer2: 3 of the 6 I didn't even buy! Quite a profit and I'm pleased.
