**~~***The Official June 2017 Thread***~~**

Joining in!

It'll be our first June trip, so I'm looking forward to seeing how we'll handle the crowds. We'll have to stick to summer for the next few years, and we tried August last year, so I'll be curious to see which we like better.

We'll be staying at the Coronado Springs from May 30th to June 4th
And then at the Grand Floridian from June 4th - 11th

We also just snagged today the ROL Dining Package! June 5th at Tusker House, 10:20 AM (Which, I find it interesting that most people reporting breakfast so far have a later time... I wonder if they're trying to limit the hours as Tusker House breakfast is already a popular pick?)

Very apprehensive about the new fireworks show... we just saw the new castle show in January and I was so disappointed. It's very pretty of course, but it somehow just didn't give me the same emotional, magical feeling as Celebrate the Magic did. I'll just cross my fingers that Happily Ever After is a strong successor for Wishes, not the other way around. I'm a little worried about the description of 'fireworks, lasers and projections'. I like the Star Wars fireworks, but it uses so much projection and lasers that sometimes it's hard to follow, and it can't really be described as a firework show (which, I guess is why it's called a nighttime spectacular instead). Hopefully the new MK show will still be primarily fireworks, with the addition of some laser and projection effects.

My thinking is that it's not super close to where Pandora will be so it won't be a huge advantage for that. But my options were only for 8:40 am so that made the decision for me. I think I'd rather try to rope drop the pandora stuff if possible but it'll probably be a madhouse no matter what.

I'm just wondering if most of those earlier times were already booked up? There were no PPO times available for the package for our date 6/8. Other than that I did not check anything except around 10:30/10:45.

Agree....

I was disappointed they weren't offering the package at Yak & Yeti, as it is. But we haven't tried Tusker House, and we're super picky eaters so Tiffins doesn't appeal to us, so we figured we'd just go ahead and grab it even if it was a bit on the late side.

Interesting, we're planning on doing the exact opposite! There's morning EMHs on the day we're going, which usually makes it super easy to get on even the bigger rides with minimal wait, and I trust most people will flock to Pandora, so I figured we could use up a couple of hours to do the Safari, EE and Dinosaur, and then use our FastPasses in the afternoon for whatever's going on in Pandora. Given that they don't throw a tiering system at us. I feel like it'd be hard to do so, though. Second tier options would be worse than at Epcot, and that's saying something.

I didn't even think about that to be honest! So that's very possible, it was announced past ADR time for our dates, and obviously they can't add extra tables. I didn't check at the regular Tusker House availability so it might just be pretty well booked up already.

Yeah the one morning we could do EMH is when we're going to Hollywood Studios instead. I suppose I could swap it around, and by extension make the Jedi Training sign up a little easier on myself. But I dunno, I guess there's time to think about it more.

I only looked for a late morning time. It is an EMH day and I didn't want to go earlier. I wouldn't mind if the lunch stuff started coming out.... as long as we are charged breakfast prices. I am not sure we will keep the reservation... but it is nice to have it snagged. I have never eaten at Tusker House. We have Jiko, Sanaa and Boma all booked, but may cancel Boma- especially if we keep TH. That's a lot of African food- hope we like it!

Well, we've got our later hours and all sorts of new stuff. Now to relook at all our plans lol

Lol!! I was gonna say you really went all out with the AKL cuisine!! I hope you like it too :) I have Sanaa as well for my 1st night at Kindani, I've never been and I'm also doing Tusker house this trip for the 1st time. Its a big Animal Kingdom year for us...and now apparently for the rest of the world :rotfl:

Been rearranging plans and making new ADR's just like everyone else it seems! We decided to do the ROL dining package and took Tusker House for lunch. We did not love it the only other time we ate there but didn't want to use 2 credits at Tiffins. We only have 1 AK full day planned. My niece really wants to do all 4 parks in 1 day so we can at least hit 1, maybe 2, rides on that day so we can devote time to Pandora. My DS is excited! Ramble over.

It is pretty pricey for not loving it. Why not just make a FP?

We have free dining so nothing oop except a tip. I also do not want to waste a fp on a show.
Ahh, def a good use of a DDP credit! I oculdnt justify the OOP cost, so just going to FP it, we"ll have enough days there. I hope we like it!

Yes! We are staying at Kidani too and don't know if we will again so we are going big- lol! I'll have to compare them all if we don't cancel Boma!

I just saw that Wishes is ending in May and it will be replaced with a new show. I'm so disappointed that I won't get to see wishes again. We have booked a pirate's and pals fireworks cruise to see wishes. I wonder how the new show will be from the water.

Went ahead and ordered tickets yesterday because of price increase. Wondering if there are any discounts available to DVC members on MemoryMaker.

Decided this morning I decided to switch our resorts and we are now staying at POR in a Garden View Room! With the AP discount it was an easy decision to make! This will be my second trip with my AP and third trip this year so I am trying to stay at resorts that we haven't in the past. We have done BWV and loved the convenience to Epcot, ASSp this December with my son for his birthday trip and had a great trip and loved the Baseball section, and our very first trip at ASMu in a family suite and enjoyed the extra room and the kitchenette. This will be our first trip to a moderate and as a girls only trip I know that we are going to spend a little more time at the resort so thought at mix between a value and a deluxe would be something to try. We are going to be heading back at the end of November with the whole family plus my parents so trying to figure out where we want to stay with them. Guess we will have to wait for the discounts to come out to figure out that one.

Going back for the 3rd year in a row. Did the ultimate Disney vacay last year, going on the cheap this year. Will be staying at Bonnet Creek 6/2-6/10. The graduate wanted to do a Disney/Universal trip, so anyone with any experience feel free to chime in with tips. Trying to be less structured and more relaxed this year, not sure how that is going to happen.

I'm not sure I posted here, but I'm so excited now. I just got an 8:05 Akershus on a better for us day. We're there 6/7-6/13, staying offsite. I got the BBB PPO (if i'm paying that much, I want her to wear it all day!). DH said I couldn't plan as much this time, so I'm hoping he won't be too mad when I spring a PPO BOG on him too. Can't wait!
