***The Official June 2016 Thread***

Kids still have no clue...booked our trip just after school ends, 6/10-6/15, GF (again).
Happy with my FP selections and watching for any news of Soarin and FEA openings...Either way, always a great time in WDW. This time no strollers (yay!) and we are planning a water park day (or days). Very excited to be under the 60 day mark.

We're saying at the GF for the first time this year - and I'm so excited!!

I have a transportation question for you - we have an early b'fast at OH'ana - is it best to just walk from the GF to the Poly or take the monorail? What about going to Epcot? Take a bus or take the monorail to the TTC and then the Epcot rail? My Dh does *hate* the buses if that matters! o_O

Aaaaahhh!

Just made my final payment!

Up next - waiting until a month out to order our special anniversary cake!

Where are you going to order your cake from? I'm going to do something for our anniversary too--thinking that I may have it delivered to our room at AKL.

We stayed at the Poly for the 2015 runDisney half. My advice is to walk from the GF to the Poly. When your breakfast is done (it's our favorite breakfast btw!) then it's a short walk to the TTC to jump on the Epcot monorail. If you decide to take the monorail from The Poly, you will need to of course, get off the resort monorail at the TTC and get in line for the Epcot monorail. Have fun!

thanks so much!! We're big "walkers" so a short walk is great with a full belly!!

We are staying at the contemporary, so it'll be easy for us to get one.

I am getting so excited for our June trip. I haven't been to WDW since 1991 and my husband has never been at all. We're also meeting up with my sister (who went like 9 or so years ago) and her kids (their first time to any Disney park). We're going to be there from the 17-25 doing a split stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort and then when my sister leaves, my husband and I are moving to the GF. We even managed reservations at Victoria and Albert's. I can't wait!!!

Lucky gal! Grand Floridian and Victoria and Albert's? That is the Disney magic, right there.

Anyone here been to the Spirit of Aloha? We've done the Hoop De Doo Review and loved it. We always said we wanted to try the SOA, so we are booked for our next to last night. As my SIL said "let's not make it our last night in case it stinks. I don't want that to be our last memory", lol.

Just got an email from wdw prepschool with the following info:

Get ready! Disney just announced lots of opening dates today and it's good news for people traveling in June.

Here's an overview:

  • Toy Story Mania third track opens Memorial Day weekend, which should just mean shorter lines since the ride will have more capacity.
  • Soarin' Around the World opens at Epcot June 17. FastPass+ opens uptomorrow, April 21!
  • Frozen Ever After and the new Anna/Elsa meet-and-greet also opening in June at Epcot, but no specific date announced.
  • New Star Wars fireworks coming to Hollywood Studios in June.
  • Finding Dory characters come to Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot in May.
  • Tiffins restaurant at Animal Kingdom opens Memorial Weekend.
  • Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire, a stage show at Magic Kingdom, begins in June.

I need exact dates! We are visiting the parks for one day on June 16th. The boys just saw Jungle Book and LOVED it, but are also huge Star Wars fans. Trying to figure out which nighttime show to do and Star Wars info isn't showing in entertainment schedules yet...

Rumor from before is June 5th for the new ones.

Me, too! Our grand planning extravaganza is Saturday, and it is going to sound like if, and if, and if.....We are going June 4-11th.

FYI: *some* of the AK nighttime FP are loaded up into the system.

I have adjusted my AK FP's once again. I hope all these changes settle down. The only other thing I need is the dates for Frozen Ever After. Other than that, I'm hoping to not change things again.

Well that is until I see some reviews on the Early Magic Mornings at Magic Kingdom and if they extend the Evening Magic Hours at MK.....Yes, I'm one of those crazy momma's that will pay for a little more extra time in the park.
