I always wear contacts because I’m afraid to wear glasses on rollercoasters and don’t want to do them blind.

Well, last week on our checkout day we were rushing to early morning magic (or whatever they call it at DLP) and I didn’t even realize I was wearing glasses until I got into the boarding stalls for the IronMan coaster (their reskin of RockNRollercoaster)— so I was faced with the choice of banging around in the headrests with glasses and maybe losing them OR going through blindly (missing all the interesting parts of the ride and not knowing when to brace for sudden turns). 0/5 stars, do not recommend!

I've always worn glasses on rides and never had any issues. I think as long as glasses fit properly, they should stay on.

I can't wear the headbands either. I mean, I've never tried any of the official ones. But I bought a pair of Etsy a million years ago and they just weren't comfortable. Plus, I like wearing a baseball cap to keep my hair back and sun off my face.

I don’t think I even knew that Loungefly made ears, but now I think I need some…the Disney ones are horribly tight!

I know the Grand Californian, Grand Floridian, and Boardwalk ears are lounge fly.

My wife said they have a lot of extra padding and fit much better.

Disneystore has a baseball cap that works with 2 of the "Create Your Own Headband" characters of your choice. I don't have it, but I can only handle the headband based ears for a little while before the pressure gets to me.

I don’t think I even knew that Loungefly made ears, but now I think I need some…the Disney ones are horribly tight!

Yep and many are in the parks too. Just look for a black metal Loungefly logo on the side.

Now that I know I don’t like Disney ears I have found so many that I love the look of.

Did you get the WDW hat online or in the park? The black hat has been OOS for a long time online

I bid, again. The wait over the weekend is tough. But makes me think I was not the "winner" again.... It is almost making buy a higher amount of points, because there are so many more contracts to not bid against others. Clock is ticking also. I need them to book in June. Not gonna make it. LOL

Best news ever! I got it! Waiting to hear back from sellers. Cautionary tale though. So I bid Sat AM. I got the email saying they received the bid. Then silence. I waited til Tues PM to call. The company had my old email address in the system! Which I have not used in years & had put new email in the bid form. Whatever! I got it!! And yep I know I overpaid, but hopefully I will have the points by June to Book May 2027!

Rope dropped early entry and both Guardians and Test Track are down. Ugh. Shoulda stayed in bed. Although we did get walked off Test Track so that was kinda cool.

The loungefly ears are also usually the ones with leather looking ear parts. We got some Disney 100 ones for pretty cheap a couple years ago from character warehouse, they hold up well too. Pricey though if not getting on a good discount.

I've been walked off of Tiana (back when it was Splash) twice, incluidng one trip backstage that was incredibly cool. I'd take a walk-off of Test Track! Is that the "slot" for the slot car in the bottom of the photo?

In totally unrelated news---I am starting to think I might retire a year or two earlier than originally planned. Two years earlier than previously planned would mean giving up my last sabbatical, and I am not sure I want to do that. But I might. Depends on how thigns go between now and then I guess.
