****The Official June 2015 thread!!! We're finally going to WDW***

On Thursday I get to switch my SSR reservations to AKV!! 7 months!! Then just one month to ADRs
This time is flying

Just booked our hotel and flights for the first week of June and SO EXCITED! We are fortunate enough to get two trips since we are also going with my fiancé's family in December of this year, but June will be very special because it will be one year since my fiancé proposed to me in front of Mickey at the Magic Kingdom :) I'm so excited! Now just waiting to make ADR's...

Hello Junies!!....just stopping by to check out our thread and see all the new joiners. Only approximately 1 more month until I can start making my ADRs. YAY!! :cheer2: I'm sure come December the traffic on our June thread will pick up tremendously.

pooki1.....are you really coming all the way from Alaska? I'm impressed. :cool2:

Hi Everyone, Just stopping in to check tickers. 2 weeks from today we will be at Hollywood studios checking out the Osborne Lights!! Woo Hoo!! Taking a short trip just to see the Osborne lights.
Can't wait till next month to start making Adr's. Still got to critique which restaurants we want to go to.
Happy planning everyone!!

Hello! We'll be staying at Wilderness Lodge the week of June 7-12! So excited; it will be the first time taking my DD, she'll turn 5 right after we get home. 2nd time staying onsite and I am counting down the days!

Just changed our June reservation from AKV to BWV!! We've never stayed at Boardwalk so I'm excited! :yay: We'll be there June 11-15th with just our DS for his birthday trip!

Hey all-
Finally booked June 12-20 at POP! First SWW ever! ADRs to be booked in about a month. Excitement is setting in.

Cheers,
Indy

Just booked our June trip lodging today! Super excited, this will be our second trip on our annual pass. Since I'm bringing 6 people from CA, it's just not as easy to make it out there more often. We have annual passes for Disneyland too which we visit more often. Just had a trip during Halloween which is my favorite time to visit although I'm feeling like I need a trip during Christmas now too! Was trying to get to WDW during Christmas but hubby can't get the time off till January and decorations will be down. Decided it made more sense to wait till June so here we are! Excited to travel along with you all :)

I LOVE this thread and seeing everyone's excitement for their upcoming June trips! I finally got to add a ticker today and am excited to announce that we're going in June too!!!! It's a bit up in the air still about where we're staying but I've got our dates! June 11-18th (though I'm hoping to add an extra day...all depends on where we stay though). We're either going to borrow points from my folks and stay at BLT or kick it at Pop Century if we can't. In the end it doesn't matter to me cause we will be back home!!! Eeee!!! It's been two years (since we went for our Disneymoon) which is TOO LONG!

Is it June yet?!?!

It seems so much closer now that the park hours are out for June. One month today and I can make dining reservations. :goodvibes

Which website do you all use to get the best days? I am anxiously waiting on EasyWDW to release their best days calendar so I can plot out my ADRs.

Thanks!

I have looked at Touring Plans and Easy WDW both for the crowd levels over the last few years for the week we are going (third or fourth week of June). I figure the crowds will be very similar to the last few years, if not a little higher.

I'm late to the party, but my family's first trip to WDW is booked for June 7-13 at AoA! :cheer2: Glad to find others that are excited about a trip so far away. hoping to get my ADRs scheduled for the times I'd like. :thumbsup2

SOOO excited to see all of the new riders on this "waiting train" for our June 2015 vacations!!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

We check in June 6th which will be the earliest June trip we've taken and I'm SUPER excited that maybe it will 1-2 degrees cooler than previous June trips AND perhaps a little less crowded by 50-100 people!

:rotfl2:

According to my "Book WDW Dining" countdown timer on my phone, I have 20 DAYS until I book dining!!

We haven't told our boys (15 & 12 1/2 now) that we're going and I'm waiting until Christmas to pop it on them, so I'll be making ADRs for where and when I think they want to go! :crazy2: which means there might be a few changes in my future!

I just saw it and have now planned out which day we will be at which parks, which means I now know which days we want which ADRs...now to wait until December 22 when I can start making my ADRs!!!!

We will be heading back to the world to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. June 23 - July 1 have no idea where we are staying yet or how many people are coming to celebrate with us...could be as many as 10 others many who will be first trippers. Just as excited to introduce them to all of the wonders and magic around the world!!! This will be our third trip as a family (less one daughter who will have a new baby to love).

What are you top attractions and must see/dos for a first timer. Good for adults and/or children too.

Was also considering a split stay. Is it more of a hassle than its worth? What are the drawbacks? I am liking the idea of staying in a room that I couldn't afford for the whole trip for a night or two.

Our group will possible be 3 boys 12, 13, & 14; and at least 6 adults possible 10. We are open to splitting up and staying at different resorts if that it's where people want to stay. Would prefer to stay together at a resort but not necessarily booking a villa. Are any of the resorts better options than others at a moderate level?

Appreciate any advice! popcorn::

What a fun trip that will be! We'll be there at the same time as you.

We haven't ever done a split stay so I have no info there, but I have several friends who do split stays frequently so they must not think it's that bad. I personally wouldn't want the hassle of unpacking, repacking, unpacking, repacking, etc., but if there was somewhere I really wanted to stay and found a great deal and it made it worth the hassle then I would certainly do it!

As for top attractions/must dos for first timers...great question! For us, Soarin' is a must do in Epcot, as well having lots of time to explore World Showcase...and watching Illuminations. At Hollywood Studios, my daughters (20 and 15) absolutely love TSMM, ToT, and RnRC. I love Fantasmic. At Animal Kingdom, the Finding Nemo show and Festival of the Lion King are our must dos, along with Kali River Rapids -- and Expedition Everest for my daughters. At Magic Kingdom, we love Mickey's Philharmagic, Space Mountain, Wishes, and we're really looking forward to Seven Dwarves Mine Train. And seeing Festival of Fantasy parade.

Regarding resorts, we've stayed at all of the values except AoA...liked Pop Century the best by far. For moderates, we've stayed at Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs and liked both of them (looking forward to see the updated rooms at Caribbean Beach). My parents love Port Orleans Riverside.

Have fun planning your trip! One of my sisters and I are hoping to do a big family trip in two or three years (when her young children are a bit older) and I am already looking forward to planning it!

I haven't read all through the thread but happy to be joining in this June group!

Booked today for June 4-13. We are new DVC'ers and will be doing a split stay.... 3 nights at BLT and 6 nights at OKW. Excited to try out these new (to us) resorts!!

Is there a facebook group? I tried a few different searches and nothing came up.
